Might of just been an issue with the batch I had, however I could not get 2 sets to work as 12gb on my Gigabyte X58 motherboard. All 6 sticks passed memtest as 6gb kits, however once you combined the two the desktop would not load.I have 3x 4gb Corsair Dominator sticks now instead and could not be happier. |

Although I had no plans to overclock this RAM, I was advised to use Asus automatic overclock feature to get the most out of my system. As sound as I did so, a few hours later, my system crashed. I checked the Asus boards and the culprit is this particular RAM. I paid over $173 for this, that's $100 more than what it's going for now. I am tempted to get rid of this ram and get another. G Skill was really my third choice of RAM but right before Christmas there wasn't any Corsair or Mushkin in stock in the same price range. Wasn't willing to wait so I held my breath and bought this kit. Like many others, I was disapointed to discover that it would not run at 1600. Tried setting it manually and still no luck. I read that someone had talked to a guy from G Skill and was advised to run it in XMP mode and that it had worked. Now that it's in XMP it does indeed run at 1600 although I have had one boot failure "Overclock has failed" (nothing is overclocked). RAM passes memtest but I still wish I had gone with Corsair or Mushkin for the peace of mind. No biggie though. |

I have mine overclocked to 1700Mhz (850mhz) speeds and that's about all it will take and is not really responsive at all to voltage increases for overclockability. My past 2 PCs I've built I've only used G.Skill ram. It has never let me down and I can happily say it is the only RAM I will buy in the future! |

This RAM hasn't let me down yet. Paired with my GTX 470 GPU and my i7 930 CPU, this computer runs all games at max settings. This RAM is only running at 1.5v so it leaves room for good overclocking whereas most RAM is stock 1.65v or so. I would recommend this RAM to anyone who is looking for a good Triple Channel set for a reasonable price. No need to go all out on the expensive Corsair kits. |

This is about the best size ram to get before diminishing returns in both cost and requirements (for most people). I did need a BIOS flash for my GA-x58a-UD5 mobo, but once it was done I was able to use all 6GB of it. Ran memtest on purchase and it ddint failed. |

Prior to building my i7 machine i had no clue who/what g.skill was, i mostly stuck with corsair/ocz/kingston since they are more well known. i am extremely impressed with the product, design is simple and looks great, this worked straight out of the box with a gigabyte x58a-ud3r, the heatsinks are functional and professional looking (unlike some really complex heatsink designs on other manufacturers)the price point for this product is awesome (without the hassle of rebates), definitely very competitive productdid not try to overclock this so i have no comments on thatwill most likely buy again to fill up the other 3 ram slots in the future. and will definitely put serious consideration for g.skill products in the future as well. |

This memory was very appealing due to it's price. I purchased 2 sets of this and all 12GB are running well with my i7 930 OC'd to 3.6 or thereabouts. I have it in a Gigabyte x58a-UD5 rev. 1 board with a Hyper 212 with Scythe fans in push pull and there was no issue with clearance of this memory as there would have been with Ripjaws etc.For the price you really can't go wrong and tbh 12GB atm is overkill but I do a lot of encoding and video image work so the extra memory is useful for me and the price was unbeatable atm. If you are looking for less costly DDR3 triple channel memory kit with a lifetime warranty by a good name brand then look no further. |

Probably the cheapest "high brand" memory at the moment. It is not amazing for OC but it is still a great product.Seems to have an issue with the Gigabyte X58A-UD3R motherboard. It only detects 3x1.33GB for a while, which was fixed by updating the BIOS to F5. Problem appears again after I OC and, at the moment, it happens now and then when I reboot my PC. |

Matched these to an ASUS M4A79T Deluxe motherbaord on a new system build. They were certified by ASUS for this motherboard and worked, error free, right from day one. This is my first machine with 6GB in it and I am very pleased with the results of this memory. Would definately check the compatibility with your MB first.
