I was gearing towards the G.Skill Tridents 6GB 2000MHZ kit, but seeing as with was out of my price range, I settled for this kit, and I'm glad I did. G.Skill is known for their RAM this is no exception.In the end, I realized I didn't need the top of the line RAM (although this is pretty high up there anyway) and this was the perfect alternative. Windows grades it at 7.4 (out of 7.9)

Pros:Bon manufacturier.Prix intéressant lorsqu'en solde.Triple Channel. Comment: J'ai acheté cet ensemble triple channel pour aller avec mon I7 920 et ma carte Asus PT6-SE. La carte maitresse a déctecté cette mémoire sans problème avec le BIOS d'origine. Aucun problème à signaler. Un achat sans problème. J'aimerais bien de G.Skill continurait à inclure leur fameux autocollant en aluminium pour boitier d'ordinateur comme c'est le cas avec leur kits 4GB DDR2.

The red heatsinks adds a nice accent to your components. This paired nicely with my Core i7 and is fast and works well in triple channel. The way the Core i7 / x58 chipset works, it's very easy to overclock as well. Comment: Board BIOS recognized this immediately. I was able to choose the performance settings for this memory and it runs beautifully at 1600MHz. This may not be the super high end ram but its already so fast that it wont even matter. Dont limit your i7 OC by skimping and getting lower speed RAM. If you want to overclock get the 1600 and dont think twice.

Comment: This is a very nice kit of RAM if you want to get yourself some fast memory to use in triple channel with a Core i7 and X58.When I upgraded recently, I did a bit of research, here & elsewhere, and this memory came highly recommended by other users, and happened to also be on the Asus QVL for the motherboard I was buying, so I bought it.So far I haven't regretted that decision, because on booting up for the first time, the computer worked great from the start, and I've since overclocked a bit, and this memory has clocked up right along with the CPU. I plan on trying some higher clock speeds, and I expect this memory will be just fine with it, especially since it's actually rated for a fair bit higher than it's currently running at.With DDR3 at fairly low prices, this kit of RAM could still be pricematched even lower, so if you need some fast memory for your new CPU/mobo, don't hesitate to pick up some of this.

Pros:overclocks to 1800+ 9-9-9-24-74-1T, or 1600 8-8-8-20-64 1T on 1.5volts. runs really cool. Comment: I have a base clock of 200, with a memory divider to 2:8. DDR3-1600 tweaked the timings to 8-8-20-64-1T at 1.5volts. these things run really cool, atleast in a antec nine hundred case(lots of airflow). very rarely do i ever use 3GBs.... my EVGA X58 is a little fussy with this ram. could only use one stick until i updated the bios. could the the mother board more than the ram tho too, just something to keep in mind. when i bought this ram, it was the safest bet, runs on really low voltages. price was decent and fair. its amazing how much DDR3 was come down in the last few months.
