G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory
Cons:Doesn't automatically set itself to 1333 mHz
Pros:Really Great PriceHigh Clocking SpeedGood Brand Comment:
I really love my new ram. Its slick red design gives it a unique feature that stands out from most plain budget ones. For DDR3 you cant get any lower prices! However, most people have reported of their motherboards automatically detecting this as 1333 hz not 1600. Personally, I don't have much of a problem. Im not going to need the extra speeds soon, and underclocking saves my electricity and probably prolongs life (:.One star taken off because it might be a fake 1600 but still very very very very good. |

Cons:timingprice
Pros:g.skillred colorddr3-1600mhz Comment:
I like g.skill brand, now $78 for 4g is not too bad, the description said it is for i5, but i used it for AMD phonm II with msi am3 motherboard, working fine.1.5v is normal, and did not try overclock, but i guess it can go up little bit.9-9-9-24, timing is just ok, if i have more budget, i will buy some thing else with $40/$50 more for 7-8...timing. |

Pros:Approved by Gigabyte for MB: GA-890FXA-UD7Give excellent performance with AMD Thuban 1090Tand look cool... Comment:
Installation and auto optimisation by Bios is made flawlessly without any set-up intervention. The supplier seem unaware that his product has been approved by Gigabyte for this application, as the 890FX is not shown in his list of MB. This MB is somehow new and it could save a lot of googling...Work fine anyway ! This review was modfied by poster @ 10-28-10 03:08 AM |

Cons:None
Pros:Price, stability, warranty Comment:
Great reliable RAM. Solid performance without being spectacular. Running easily at or above rated specs in my P55 + i5 750 setup. No complaints whatsoever although the heat spreader design is hit or miss in terms of design aesthetic. Not why I bought these though. Appreciate the lack of MIR on these and great value they offer when on sale or PMed. |

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory
Cons:Two sets, one bad stick each time.
Pros:Good Speed when working. Comment:
I picked up the first set and found one dimm to be faulty and replaced the whole kit in store the next week. After putting up with more blue screens crc errors and other problems I finally decided to test the second set, once again I had a bad dimm. I am in the process of RMA with gskill now and I am just sending back one dimm. I am going to try and get them to pay shipping. If their service is good I may upgrade my rating. This is the first time I have ever had to RMA memory, but I have always bought corsair in the past. I probably should have payed the extra $10 and stayed with what worked for me in the past. |

Nothing to complain about, good price, stable and works well for a budget gaming rig. If you can afford maybe check out the cl7s (2x4gb) Otherwise great purchase for any i-series/am3 budget build. |

Cons:slightly taller heatsinks could interfere with large CPU coolers.
Pros:Price for the performance Comment:
No issues great set of ram for the performance you get. Gotta love the look as well. Heat sinks are a little tall could cause problems with large cpu heat sinks, again you could just use the other two ram slots. |

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory
Cons:- Don't lead to high overclock, especially on the timings side.
Pros:- Good looking.- Low voltage- Standard latency/speed.- Very inexpensive! Comment:
Very good sticks for office computer, not as much for high overclocking. Wasn't able to get higher than 1800MHz/8-9-8-22 on the timings. Which is not bad, but still nothing spectacular. |

Cons:CL leaves a little to be desired
Pros:Great speedLow power Comment:
These are some pretty sexy sticks that even come with heat spreaders for such a good price!! Works with cpus other than the Core i5, that is basically a marketing gimmick. These running at 1.5V where most DDR3 run at 1.65V will mean you shouldn't have to worry about these getting hot! |

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory
Cons:The colour and the heatsink design is quite weird
Pros:CheapStable Comment:
For about $100 for a 4GB DDR3 memory, this G.Skill memory module is almost the best among all other brands. It is inexpensive, so if you are not going to OC too much, this is the best one. The only thing that I don't like is the ripjaws heatsink, it is kind of strange. |
I chose a pair of these for basically three reasons:1. They were certified as being compatible with the make and model of motherboard in which I intended to use them.2. They were low voltage, at 1.5 volts, which was well below the 1.65 volt maximum for Core i5/i7 processor systems.3. I was able to pricematch them for a very reasonable price. There's really not much more to say, since I had no intention of overclocking them, other than to say that I opened them up, installed them and they worked as advertised. I suppose that I could play around with the timings to improve them a bit, since at 9-9-9-24 they are not the speediest out there, but for the time being I'm quite satisfied. As for the saw-toothed heat spreaders, I am not convinced that they are anything more than marketing bling, and a lttle more clearance if needed for an aftermarket heatsink/fan would probably be a better idea.
