Pros:Beast to OC, good second option

Since I don't encode videos, I went for the 3570k instead of the 3770k.

Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 Quad-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:NOne

Pros:One of the best
Comment:
One of the best CPUs I've ever had to deal with. OCs very nicely. I got it to 4.5 GHz with just 1.28v. I couldn't believe it. Decided to lower the clock to 4.4 v 1.25 and never looked back.

Bought this to replace an old LGA 775 CPU. I couldn't be happier. Overclocking was super easy. Managed to hit 4.4 GHz with only a minor voltage adjustment. Love it

Cons:-No HT

Pros:-Quick-Price (on sale)-Runs cool
Comment:
Other than the hyperthreading this cpu is absolutely amazing for anything but heavy heavy photoshop use. If gaming or even general browsing, this cpu will do you wonders.

Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 Quad-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:no hyperthreading but will I need it? Don't really think so.

Pros:Affordable (bought in a bundle with mobo during boxing week), good price vs performance point
Comment:
For roughly 100$ more you could get the 3770K; you gain HT and 100mhz more. To me this is rather useless as I mostly play games, browse, and do basic office work with my PC (with the occasionnal Photoshop sessions). Until at least 50% of new games use HT I will not bother with it. This has been described as the sweet-spot in regards to affordability vs performance for gaming and I agree 100%. Have not OC yet, I don't really need to for the moment.

Comment:
Using this beast in my new rig and it's been nothing short of amazing. Would highly recommend this to anybody. There's not much else to say, if you need HT then go to the 3770 but for me I didn't need that ability. Enjoy!

Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 Quad-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:HSF.No HT.Heat-spreader.Only two SATA 3 controllers.

Pros:Unlocked.Intel.High on the performance vs cost curve.
Comment:
Its 3rd gen, so it should be a mature chip. Some reports of sub-optimal heat-spreader arrangement/TIM compared to the 2nd gen.Cores idle at 16x100, 8C above ambient.Prime 95 takes it up to 38x100, 40C above ambient. The included Intel HSF seems undersized. Using a CM 212 EVO HSF with one Nexus 120mm orange quiet fan.Haswell is coming soon, killing the future of the LGA 1155 socket.

Great chip. Almost benches twice as fast as my overclocked phenom 2 at 4.0ghz...Runs cool at stockOverclocking? The new ones don't do it so well. Where some people were getting 4.5ghz at 1.23v...i'm not getting to 4.5Ghz at 1.4v!!Still able to run 4.4Ghz at 1.32v, and it is fast!

This is the processor to get from everything i have read when it comes to video-gaming and since no game currently supports Hyper Threading, this chip is actually 1-2% faster than its i7 sister. Works as advertised, stable, fast and loves to be over-clocked.

I just built a system for a client with this CPU, and the Asrock Z77 Extreme4 motherboard. This processor is a beast. Being an i5 2500k owner myself, I can say that the i5 3570k will indeed be a noticeable upgrade to anyone considering doing so. My customer is simply blown away by the performance of this CPU. He upgraded from an old prescott LGA 775 rig, so he is just amazed. Do not hesitate to pick yourself up a Z77 board, and this processor. You will not be disappointed. I give this 5 stars all the way. Cons:Still a good dent in my wallet

Pros:Fast, cool, easy to overclock
Comment:
I don't know what all there is to really say about this chip. It's fast out of the box and paired with my SSD I am experiencing a truly speedy PC for the first time in my life. ASUS's overclock tools easily brought it up to 4.3 ghz on my cooler without any effort on my behalf and I'm sure if I took the time to tweak it I'd hit 4.6 on air.

My built using this intel 3570k, a very good overclocking cpu without causing that much of heat though a lot of people would say the ivy bridge line gets hot, it is not the case for me.
