Rapidly powerful and fun to use. Runs truly cool below typical use. Not substantially, except that a bigger and greater processor came out two weeks following I bought mine.

runs cool (with cooler master).runs a little far better and alot cooler than comparable amd. Not as rapidly as I believed it would be.knew the heatsink and fan weren't incredibly great ahead of time so ordered a coolermaster with it. too high priced for what it does.

Added this poor boy to a Gigabyte x58 board and it totally cruised. When I got the cooling working at peak, I was in a position to OC this to about three.75ghz. It's rapidly, it's stable, and it's easy. I couldn't afford two.

-Quick-If you are acquiring an i7 you much more than likely know why its so superior. -Heatsink/fan is adequate not excellent.-Thermal paste included with fan sucks I read a lot of men and women complaining about how negative the Heatsink fan is, it's not fantastic, but it's adequate.1 requires to seat the fan appropriate with a superior thermal paste(go out to your local electronic shop and obtain some artic silver or a thing) is 1 thing. The other concern is that motherboards tend to overvolt the vcore in auto mode. If you are getting an i7 you are most likely going to overclock it sometime, so I'm confident you know how to set the vcore and test stability. Make confident with the stock heat sink and fan that you manually set the vcore to as low as it go whilst still becoming stable(range is .8-ɭ.375). Mine in particular was stable around 1.05V with stock clock. I would not overclock with the stock cooler. My core temps went from ㆍ C to 65 C at full load(we're talking burn test at 22 C ambient) just by altering the VCore down to it's lowest stable setting. I still feel it's kind of high, but it's effectively inside a threshold intel feels is fine.

What additional can you ask for? 4 cores at three.06ghz, with Intel Hyper Threading its at 8 Threads. This thing is easily overclocked with an aftermarket heatsink/fan (I suggest the Cooler Master Hyper N520)Operating stock clock speeds it idles at 30c and under load in no way gets above 45c. Not six cores :)

I just put my system together. Very first time performing an intel chip period. All systems I have carried out in the past had been AMD chips. Nevertheless looking at the benchmarking and capabilities of this chip I made the jump to intel, plus my notebook has an I3 :P. I am not sorry I produced the switch. This chip rocks. It runs pretty cool with the stock heatsync. Some people say it runs hot but my testing it runs cooler than some chips Ive had in the past. Runs about 35-42c On the stock cooler. I also have it in a coolermaster HAF X case with Artic silver so that may well have something to do with it. I do strategy on overclocking it later so I will replace the stock cooler. But for now its awesome. Only con I would say is the stock heatsync. The mounts are a bit odd, the instructions aren't the best. Doesnt tell you to not turn the mounts or if they are already locked. Youtube video helped with that so its ok. Not taking an egg away simply because its my lack of experience with it. Amazing Awesome chip. Handles anything I throw at it.

Quite quick, very good cost point. The installation of this cpu with the stock fan is Incredibly tricky if you attempt it outside of a case for testing purposes. BEWARE its incredibly easy to open the clips ahead of they are all the way by way of the board causing them to get stuck. (had to use a screwdriver to pry the pins back out the first time). If your using a distinct heat sink this chip gets 5 eggs.

Super uncomplicated to OC this factor, Quickly quickly fast Isnt Six Cores :P < insert sarcasm > Bought for an upgrade to my HTPC, OC'd it to 4Ghz effortlessly with an right after industry air cooler. Appears to be a little on the hot side, 44-45 idle ࿈-42 core temps) 68-70 full load, far from over heating the thing but would like to get it cooler.

Easily OC-able. Got it up to four.5GHz on software alone. idle @ 45C and load @ 60 - 65C. **Currently have it set to to just three.2GHz with turbo enhance. I don't have significantly games to push it with. It's a fairly substantial leap from my C2D. Light-speed quick! It runs way hotter than my C2D OC @ four.1GHz. Other than that, nothing I had to deal with the stock fan for a night given that I couldn't come across my 1366 brackets on my Zalman fan....not a great idea. On a excellent run, the CPU downmux to 2.79GHz. Other than that, it constantly ran at 1.6GHz simply because the idle temps had been above 70C! I even scraped the pre placed thermal paste and added my own, and created positive those plastic clamps were on correct, but it still ran pretty high. Luckily I still had some $$$ and I purchased a Corsair H50, some 6-32 machine screws, and produced a Push/Pull setup. Now my idle temps are between 26 - 31C and load is @ 37 - 43C :) Lots of OC play!

Great. I've had my i7 OC'd @ four.0Ghz for a few months now. In a fan ran case, it in no way exceeds 45c. Ran with Prime 95, the cores never ran past 75c and the the cpu as a whole by no means exceeded 72c. None but. No failures, does it's job beautifully. Only consideration if the price, but if you want a top performing machine, you won't regret the buy.

Extremely affordable. Incredibly fast. Multi-tasks like a dream. Powerful... haven't been able to make it hiccup yet, but I'm going to keep trying. I guess it could have expense much less. temp on all 4 cores lows avg 37C and highs avg 44C per coretemp. Utilizing COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 on the CPU which is a giant beast, but fits nicely in my COOLER MASTER Centurion five CAC-T05-UW. All in all I'd say that this is a good CPU at this cost that you can create a machine with a great budget/performance flexibility.
