Cons:N/A

Pros:perfect. Nothing broken so far :D

Not much to say other than it's pretty perfect for me as I play a lot of games while streaming and watch movies at the same time. I have this with ASUS P6X58D-E X58 ATX LGA1366 3PCI-E16 PCI-E1, Corsair XMS3 TR3X6G1600C9 6GB DDR3 3X2GB DDR3-160, and GeForce GTX 570 732MHZ 1280MB 3.8GHZ GDDR5. It's been working flawlessly.

Pros:performance, value, temps.
Comment:
For my recent pro build, i chose this cpu as i knew it would reach 4gh with ease, with a Corsair H70 it did 61-63C deg under 100% load at 3750mhz and a lil bit more at 4k.Overall a very good chip, no doubt it could go a bit more with better cooling. Recommended.

Intel Core i7-950 3.06GHz LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core Processor
Cons: none

Pros: Runs very cool. I had no increase in temps at 3.5ghz on a stock cooler. Perfect for water coolers and overclockers.
Comment:
This chip is being run on the ASUS X58 Sabertooth with 6gigs of dominator 1600 ram. Saphire Raddeon HD 6950. I don't ever see it go above 33% usage. Best bang for the buck out there.

Intel Core i7-950 3.06GHz LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core Processor
Cons: Not too many program taking advantages of 4 cores and 4 threadsPrice drop  after purchase

Pros: Faster than the DX486* with the turbo button.
Comment:
Very unlikely Intel chip will fail out of the box, not impossible, just unlikely. Even no fan is installed, the CPU would over heat and shut down before damage done to the CPU. Unless you're overclocking, it is a different story. There a saying "Better to have not need it than need it and not have it" so I bought this CPU. There isn't many programs out there that I used day to day would take advantages of all the cores and threads this CPU had to offer. Should-da buy something more suited to what I use everyday but I like the i7-9xx and x58 chipset. Until AMD have something faster and for a fraction of the cost, Intel will continue to be my first choice. (There's also a 15% restocking fee** "Thank you for using NCIX".)

Coming from a P4 3.0 to this is simply amazing. Running it on a MSI big bang xpower i 4.0 ghz ( baseclock i 200 multi at 20) at 1.25 Volts 100% stable ( prime 95 verified) with 12 gigs of corsair dominator ddr1600. Runs cool and quiet, core temps in the low 60's under 100% load (according to realtemp)

Pros: Fast. Fast. Fast

Have this safely overclocked on a H50 cooler at 4ghz. Runs well, but temps are a little warmer than I would like. Definitely look at getting a decent cooler on this thing and you will be laughing! Great buy

Pros: Rock solid performance

Had read many reviews praising this Chip, and I have to say, the reviews have so far proved correct. Until the i7's came out I had only had AMD processors in my system. I may switch back if they catch up but with the Triple channel memory this is currently more than I will need.

BOught this for a customer and he was very satisfied with the build. Paired with 16 GB of ram and used it for a Hackintosh. Runs stable, there isn't much to say.Something noticable is that the fan isn't as pathetic as the i5's (heh) which are basically the same as they fans that they use for Celerons. Ouch.

Intel Core i7-950 3.06GHz LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core Processor
Cons: - price still bit high

Pros: - easy install- nice temps out of the box- price
Comment:
Bought this to replace my old quadcore. I wanted a 930 before but I rather waited until new model shows up affordable. Bought it with an Asus x58 board. Despite of every new technology that has slipped between my old quad and this one, the installation was a breeze and familiar. I even recycled my Muggen 2 cooler to fit into this processor and board. Overclocking seems a bit more difficult tho because the temps were a bit higher than my processor, but it might be because the cooler was not really suited for these new processors. Although the price is now good and affordable, the price is still a bit high here, so I suggest to everyone to pricematch like I did before purchase, I saved nearly a hundreed by doing so.

I got this to replace my aging Q6600 l 3.0ghz...currently running this paired with an H70 and (theoretically) 12gb of ddr3 ram. Small problem...only 8gb shows up in bios though I'm unsure as to whether it is the cpu or mobo heh

Pros: Good OC-ability.Great performance in games paired with dual 5870's.
Comment:
I moved from a q9550 at 3.6-3.8GHz to this at 4.0GHz and I saw great FPS gains in CPU heavy games. Anything on the Gambryo engine (CPU heavy.) for example saw a minimum of 15 FPS improvement. I don't use HT seeing few games take advantage and that's what this is is a gaming rig. (Internet/music/etc. No folding/etc)I was going to avoid the I7 series but I am glad I jumped on board. I couldn't be happier.

I initially purchased this to build our new developer a workstation. After some problems and delays, I opted to put this into our new backup server. The thing is super fast. Runs cool (or at least what I can tell with the cover open) and fast. Win2k8 R2 has no problems getting things loaded up. Coupled with 12GB RAM and a Gigabyte motherboard.

Intel Core i7-950 3.06GHz LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core Processor
Cons: Luck of the draw...if you want a good overclocker

Pros: -Does it ever overclock...wow...-Hyper-Threading
Comment:
I've got this to replace my old Q6600 and the difference is obvious in every aspect of my daily routine. From gaming to office use to benchmarking, this thing is awesome. My rig consists of the MSI Xpower Big Bang, Mushkin Ridgeback, and custom watercool. I am able to overclock this stable for 24/7 use at 4.6ghz. I am able to get it stable for some benchmarks at 4.8ghz. But with overclocking, it's totally the luck of the draw and depends on your other components in your rig. So you might not be as lucky as i am, but could be even luckier. At 300$ (or less), this is a steal. That extra multiplier is so worth it. Before the price cut by Intel, it didn't make sense to buy this, but now, it's doesn't make sense not to buy it.

I finally made the jump to X58 and I'm right pumped. I've been an AMD guy (for the prices of course) for the last 5 builds and had been dreaming of a 1366 intel chip for a long time. I got it with the Noctua NH-U12 cooler as a bundle for $340. Can't go wrong. I'm just getting my feet wet with a modest overclock but so far it's running stable and cool. Best CPU without doing something stupid and throwing away cash on one of the $1000 monsters. (Same chip as we all know).

I purchased this on sale for under $300 as an upgrade to my aging (overclocked) Q6600 setup and could not believe the performance jump given the comparable clock speeds on paper.I ran my Q6600 at 3.24Ghz, which yielded an ~11k cpu score in 3DMark Vantage, this number jumped to nearly 20k with a stock clocked i7 950. In addition my GTX 260 SLIs are no longer being bottlenecked by the processor, they too went up in ratings from 17.5k to 20.5k. (All tests with PhysX disabled)

The first chip that I got ran over 95 degree with Prime95 using stock heatsink. Went to NCIX and they replaced it for me. Second one peak at 76 degree with stock cooling.I'm using Corsair A70 and the load temp is around 66 at 3.6Ghz. Could go further by optimizing VCore but I'm too lazy..
