Cons: Stock Heatsink is weak for gaming

Pros: Very high performanceTurbo mode for apps that doesn't support multitread
Comment:
This is faraway the best CPU I ever bought. Performance are great. It is easily overcloakable. The included CPU heatsink is kind of accessory for me as I bougth another one which I highly recommend. I haven't done lots of test but I've been able to lower down near 20 degree replacing the stock cooler. Would buy again without any hesitation.

Intel Core i7-950 3.06GHz LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core Processor
Cons: None so far

Pros: FastHyper Threading
Comment:
I have always used intel processors and this one works just as well as all the others I have used in the past. I got it on sale for 300 and got a deal on some ram bundled with it. With this processor, running multiple applications and games that just came out on the market is a breeze. With hyper threading the speeds I get seem comparable to six core processors some of my co-workers have. It comes with a nice size heat sink and fan. I would recommend this product to anyone that does more then basic stuff like word files and checking email.

Paired with a P6X58D Premium, was able to get a stable OC at 4.4Ghz. Nice and fast with 8 threads. Upgraded from a E6700 at 3.0Ghz and this is lighning fast compared to the old S775 series.

Cons: expensive

Pros: FAST, EASY OVERCLOCK
Comment:
This unit is fast and easily overclockable . I wouldn't use this for low end budget systems as its return for the price is minimal compared to i5 760 for instance.Unless you're dying for a new system, wait for Sandy Bridge.

Easy installation in Asus x58 Sabertooth. Installed Coolermaster 212 and it's running much cooler. No problems encountered so far.Runs well with Windows 7 64bit.

Cons: None

Pros: Excellent valueGreat performancePainless overclocking
Comment:
With the price cut seating this slightly above the i7 930, there's no reason not to go for the 950. The extra couple notches of core multiplier makes overclocking that much more of a breeze. I haven't even pushed it as far as I can. After hitting stable at 4 GHz on 4 hyper threaded cores with just 1.25 volts, I saw no reason to even push further.

Bought this for a friend that won't overclock and I got it for the same price of an i7 930. It's basically an i7 930 overclock by intel for the same price, can't ask more than this.

Intel Core i7-950 3.06GHz LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core Processor
Cons: I know I'll replace it with 980 or anything that have six core when the price drops enough.

Pros: - 8 Threads- 3 GHZ- High end CPU below 400$
Comment:
Now that's talking about a great CPU for a great price. I really needed a new system and this processor is a big upgrade prior to what I had before but I know I'm gonna switch to six core as soon as the price becomes reasonable.

Pros: 8 threads.Very overclock-able. Price drop. This thing was released at over 500 bucks a year ago.Multitasking gold.Better than the 920 and 930
Comment:
Very stable, easily overclocks to over 4ghz. I am using an Asus premium and got this to 4.025ghz (175f23) at just 1.25v. Heats the only barrier.

Super Fast
Comment:
The fastest CPU I have ever owned. You can really see and feel the speed, and it benchmarks consistently at number 1 or 2. I do not overclock and used the stock fan with MB control and it runs about 60C. Pretty quiet and the fan usually spins around 1100 rpm.

Comment:
I have had it running with Win 7 64 bit for months. 6-gig of ocz platnium ram tripple channel at 2ghz, cooler master tower, evga mobo, gtx 260 super overclocked vidio card. I oc'ed it to 3.8ghz with no problems yet. I would skip the the duo stuff and do it right the first time with the i7.
