This processor is wonderful! I bought two of these and both of them arrived in great situation. It handles almost everything nicely with no lag. My games run excellent, and even Adobe Photoshop runs much much more smoothly. It's a wonderful budget processor for your money. The stock fan that came with this processor is difficult to install in my motherboard which uses screws in order to mount the fan.

This processor was utilized to improve the performance of an older machine. The prior processor was an E2200, and I can safely say that the upgrade has made this a whole new machine - it's noticeably faster and additional responsive at quite a lot anything. Quickly, consistent, good top quality. The old style PS2 plugs for the keyboard are retro and pretty cool. I don't use the internal sound card, so I wouldn't know about the 7.1 attributes. The board never ever runs hot. Noisy, the fan does it's job, but it makes some noise. My AMD 4800+ is significantly less noisy. This is not a key problem, the board in no way runs hot. Good CPU for the buck, the Linux HAL got every thing instantly.

its intel. good little chip. bought on shell shocker 贈 excellent cost. none folks do know that AMDs cache gose by a half a mb at a time. this chip has 3 mb , an amd would have 1 half a mb for similar size chip. cache speeds the processor alot.

I do not game, or use this for any intensive purposes such as audio/video rendering, but I have played about a bit with some games and more than clocking. It more than clocks rather easily and for what I do, is truly more than sufficient. I have it running at a solid 3.0GHz and it runs amongst 30-35 Celsius…not too undesirable. I’m running Windows 7 Ultimate and have had nothing but stability and efficiency out of this rig! This CPU is fantastic for the typical user seeking to handle music, e mail, surf the net and a lot more…all at the exact same time! And the very best perk? Great processor, in particular for the cash. Solid, doesn't run hot. The mounting technique for the packaged Intel cooler was horrible. I was afraid that I was going to break my board before even the second clip was set! If you are upgrading from yet another 775 processor that employed the bracket beneath the board to mount the cooler, you will have to take away the bracket Prior to attempting to mount this Intel cooler. Ignoring the horrible cooler connecting program, I would advocate this processor to any person. I would have liked to see a 6MB cache version in this speed and price range, but no dice from what I discovered right here on Newegg.

As above, exceptional option for XP, could want a thing more rapidly for W7. Stock fan is whisper quiet with the case closed up. Really huge heat sink. A bit above-priced. I was going to wait but the old house office machine was just about dead so I had no option but to make now.

This CPU has some respectable speed. My old CPU fan for my prior CPU broke so I ended up employing the stock fan, with some ARCTIC COOLING MX-two Thermal Compound (which I got totally free from some thing I bought, I forget what). I'm pleasantly surprised the stock fan gets about 32 C, idle, whereas my program (motherboard) is at 37 C, idle. Complete load, CPU at about 37 C, and system temp goes to 41 C. Room temperature is at present about 23 degrees C. Thoughts you I do have four external 80mm fans (one is the power supply), and two internal 80mm fans blowing from the bottom front towards the bottom back of the case. It isn't faster or an i5/i7 The CPU fan was very simple to place on. I've worked with quite a few CPU fans, and some of them make you consider the motherboard is going to break. Rapid. Significantly more quickly than my old 2.8 p4 anyway. All my games and applications run with ease now, instead of lagging behind. None Idle temps are stuck at 35c and 52c. Seeing these high idle temps prompted me to tear it back down once more, and try reapplying thermal grease. I had figured maybe it just didint seat incredibly well, but after once more temps did not move. Employed realtemp and ran a cpu cooldown test, and my temps are just fine. It runs perfectly cool, though took a small even though to recognize. Wont knock any eggs for it, works perfectly otherwise

wonderful proc, provides outstanding overall performance for the price. worked out of the box, and overclocks straightforward. none as other folks have stated, the intel heatsink and fan that come with this proc is unsuitable for overclocking, I went with a good thermaltake heatsink, and couldnt be happier, if you arent overclocking the stock fan and heatsink really should be fine for you.

Operates better than expected. 64 bit OS working with MSI P43-C51 and 4G RAM GSKILL and old ATA-133 10K Maxtor Drive, GEForce GT 220 video cardWindows rated config to five.two due to drive. CPU/Motherboard is at 5.9Machine is blazing quick. Far more than sufficient for a pro user. You click on a web site and it loads. Not confident about the gamer types. I count on it to not get outdated at least for 6 years. One thing is noisy. Not positive which fan. Most likely the video card as folks had complained about it . But I went cheap and purchased it anyways. Machine is in the basement and is turned off when not in use so I genuinely don't care.

Function horse of a chip. Good out of the box speed, low power consumption, low heat generation, and a lot of performance for the money. Stock cooler I constantly pair any processor with a heat pipe cooler. They're inexpensive, far far better, and make less noice (since the fan tends to run slower).

Installed quite easily. Runs great. No concerns right after installation. Thermal paste is pre-applied to the heatsink and the installation directions for the heatsink are not specifically clear. The arrows on the connecting pegs indicate the direction to turn when getting rid of the heatsink (as opposed to the direction to turn to lock the heatsink in spot).Getting never ever installed 1 just before, it was disappointing to have the heatsink not click in place following the thermal paste had been smooshed onto the processor.

I utilised Newegg's client evaluations to settle on this cpu as i merely wanted to upgrade from my single core Pentium four cpu. This cpu as been stable and loaded Windows 7 the initial time. It runs my Flight Simulator X on largely high settings with 20 fps most of the time. It won't run FSX wide open with the complete graphics at the highest with no lowered fps but so far I am pleased with it's overall performance so far. Handles standard world wide web and email activities very effectively and all my applications are running properly. A great cpu. None that I have skilled.

fired up first boot. handles pretty considerably almost everything that facebook will be able to throw at it. low profile stock heat sink is severly insufficient. on the pricey side for a dual core when quad cores pretty substantially dominate the market, and 775 is now considered ancient compared to the core i-x series. place this into a computer i built for my mom out of componenets left more than all through the years. had zero issues out of it. good processor.

Runs rapid and awesome. Great price for a Core-two duo. Placed in a DQ45CB Intel MB - for a small business client and discovered the Win-7 64bit spec to reach mid 7's on overall performance scale. non, seriously. a quad would be nice, but not required for just about every app.
