Working excellent and staying cool. I am employing it on a low budget gaming machine running Windows 7. Price is a small high for becoming an older CPU model.

Comment:
The CPU has performed quite well; I haven't had any dilemma from it at all. If I were to rate the CPU alone, I would give it a fiveǛ. The retention mechanism for the cooler is very poorly designed. Installing it required a lot of pressing on the motherboard, which won't likely be limited to a single instance considering that the pins that you thought *were* secured retain popping back out, causing you to have to start out all over yet again.Assuming you can get the cooler installed devoid of breaking something, you will likely come across that the cooler performs passingly for this CPU, assuming that the surrounding air temperature isn't higher than about 85*F.The only really *good* factor that I can say about the cooler is that the fan is pretty quiet, even at full speed. To rate the cooler alone, I would give it a twoǛ. I'd strongly recommend getting a separate cooler with this CPU. Get one that uses metal screws to secure it appropriately, and not this plastic push-pin nonsense. The Zalman CNPS7700 is an instance of a cooler with a very good retention mechanism; while, that specific cooler has the detriment of becoming a bit noisier.

The price is proper for a excellent processor. OC'd to three.59 GHz with no troubles, only a handful of spikes to 61C below high loads. Stock fan performs good and I didn't have any trouble installing it on my board (AsRock p45de3). Temp is considerably far more stable 42-46C range when running at 3.33-3.45 GHz. As other individuals have stated, workload is not shared evenly btwn the two cores, but it does what it wants to.

This is absolutley the ideal socket 775 processor I have ever owned. Awesome from the start off. Simply installed, best component was there was no require for any thermal compound. Just drop it in, connect the normal CPU fan and power up. The price tag was extremely great as well. The only thing I would have recommended is a far better CPU fan. This 1 is kind of flimsy aluminum. Copper is a considerably much better dispensor of of heat, overclocking with this fan could be a difficulty. I've purchased a lot of stuff from NewEgg and they have usually delivered an great item.

Worked outa the box, pretty speedy and it was less costly than the e7400 when i bought it, runs windows 7 without having a challenge. Paired with low cost Asus mobo and my parents are content Not a large deal as everyone who has ever purchased intel before knows you get a terrible heatsink, this develop was for my parents who dont oc so not a large deal. But if you dont wanna really feel like your gunna break your mobo into pieces id suggest you purchase aftermarket Stupid plastic clips what a undesirable idea! I have e8400 and though i can tell its significantly faster, the 7500 was a wonderful buy and i would acquire it once again, and i by no means oc the 7500 the 8400 is at three.9 ghz

With the proper MOBO, ASUS P5Q Pro Turbo, you can very easily overclock this processor to 4GHz. Greatest bang for the buck that Intel produces. The fan that comes with this need to also come with an advanced degree in mechanical engineering (like capping the properly in the Gulf it can be carried out but man it's ugly) and it doesn't cool effectively sufficient to allow for overclocking. Don't waste your time just invest the additional 40 clams and do it correct the very first time. I am going to buy this soon. I have a E7300, two.66 GHz, this processors little brother, that I have whipped difficult for going on 3 years now I presently have it on a Asus P5KPL-CM running at three.42 GHz. I can very easily see this CPU, the E7500, operating at 4 GHz.

Bought this CPU from an independant retailer, took it residence, installed it with little to no personal computer background information. Used it to upgrade my economy Computer employing a G31T motherboard. Saw instant massive improvement more than my old single-core CPU. Installed Windows 7, it performs excellently. The push pin fan just would not fit. My mobo applied tiny screws to secure the fan and the tiny pins on the new fan had been basically also significant to fit in. As stated the push-pin fan didn't fit on the other hand the retailer was type enough to let me exchange it for a unique heatsink (which turned out to be created for Quad Core, so it keeps my processor extremely cool).

It functions. Intel's web site is extremely mis-leading on which processors support virtualization. It shows this model BX80571E7500 is supported. Even so, the numerous processors I bought do not assistance virtualization. I can't recognize why Intel would be so mis-leading. It almost tends to make me want to quit shopping for Intel goods. What does that say for a big business!!! This is not the only processor like this also. I also purchased E7400 series (several) with the exact same mis-top material on Intels web site. Make confident the Spec code is SLGTE if you want virtualization assistance. Don't open the box till you know the processor supports virtualization. If you have doubts call Intel.

Purchased this CPU to upgrade a Pentium D 3. GHz. I'm operating it at stock speed, and nonetheless it blows the D out of the water. If you have an older CPU and want a very great Intel upgrade, this is the chip for you. Yes, you can spend a small far more and get a lot more, but if you need to have something to "tide you more than" so to speak, or just want a very trustworthy and rapidly processor, this is a good one. It runs Vista Ultimate 64 bit flawlessly (or as flawlessly as Vista can be run - not a single crash in the month since I put it together)and so far it has chewed up every game I have thrown at it (Modern Warfare two, CoD 4, and can quickly run two seperate situations of Everquest 2 at high graphic settings concurrently) I have a BFG 8800 GT in it and the CPU is no longer my bottleneck. I merely enjoy it! It is not a Core i7 for this value :p I have an aversion to AMD CPUs, so it could be attainable to get a comparable or much better AMD CPU for less/equivalent income, but this Intel chip, though a bit aged now, really should be more than enough for the average Computer user who does not want to invest a lot for a program.

Low watt, LGA 775, dual core goodness. Stock cooling fan mounting is a little tricky but not adequate to shed a star. Installing the stock 775 cooling fan takes patience and a bit of force, if you don't hear the "click" the pin isn't properly set, but it does the job just fine. The processor is amazing.

Works fairly well for a fundamental processor. Also small heat sink compound, had to add far more. I was shocked how less than 50% of the CPU was covered. I will take into account metallic paste for future builds. Out of nearly 70 computers, I have only had 1 CPU die.It was replaced (upgraded) below warrantee. But heat signifies slower speed.

Excellent functions, spending budget/low cost, low temps, and straightforward to install the processor (not heaksink, see cons). The Intel push-pin program for securing the heatsink to the motherboard requires a scary quantity of force to install, making it quite challenging. I am a first time builder and the heatsink installation was in all probability the most tricky element of the construct. I had to release the heatsink pins a number of occasions ahead of I got them to click. Hopefully Intel will come up with a better design for securing the heatsink to the motherboard.NOTE: My CPU temps are below 30C when nearly idle

The value was rather nice, incredibly effortless install the heat sink and fan are not that difficult to install with the push pins took a couple tries got it locked incredibly effortlessly. Very quick CPU I do alot of video editing without overclocking runs really quickly for a 2 hour movie encoding took 15 minutes. I'd recommend this to any person. None

Runs Aion and WoW genuinely properly on max settings. Runs super cool through that time as properly. 31c idle temp and about 50 under load. the heat sink is fine that comes with this processor. I hate the 775 socket clip. You ought to surely think about some thermal paste other then what comes on the heat sink. I used the compound that came pre-applied and it was additional like a dry clay and the CPU was over heating beneath load. Altered the thermal paste and it runs excellent.
