A very fast CPU for a considerably lower price than others. I put this in a budget machine that still needed a fast CPU for some programs. Performed superbly, just don't expect to be doing much overclocking with the cheap, stock heatsink and fan!

This little guy rocks. Stuck it in a freinds computer on a rebuild and it just flat cooks. Use it for my home computer needs and you can't beat it for the price. Running W7 and it just fires up in seconds. For the price this little guy works great for the home user.

I haven't had it long, but it seems to work quite well. It is just as peppy for desktop applications as my quad core computer is. Doesn't seem to bottleneck gaming.

You don't hear many people crowing about the duos with everyone throwing quads in their builds, but these puppies have outstanding performance and offer a significant savings over more recent offerings. For the silent majority, a smart buy.

this processor is very fast. plenty fast for everything I do including online games like WOW and BF42 and also some recording software. With all those things the stock fan keeps the cpu very cool, right now its at 27c and when I'm playing games its around 35c. With this price it's a HUGE deal!

This appears to be a very strong running processor.I have not been using the enclosed fan and heatsink until I got this one. I must say after messing with the locks and figuring out how to make them lock properly the application seemed to be very solid. The processor runs good and I think it could go to 3.5 G.easily.

This thing beats the pants off anything I've had before. I'm not a gamer, so I don't need the really cosmic stuff, but this processor can probably handle just about anything any of my friends want to play on it (as long as the RAM, MB, etc. can keep up also).

so for my first computer build i picked this chip, my original choice was the E7400 but for a few bucks more i am within a hare's breath of 3.0 Ghz. the fan this thing comes with is a lot bigger than i was expecting. i would highly recommend it
