All the speed in the world can't make up for the lack of reliability and longevity.The worst part it, my third RMA'd drive will be the same model as the first two. I don't want a defective model. Stay away from OCZ. I am not doing anything crazy with these drives. I am running this on a Lenovo X200 tablet, which can't push too much IO anyways. NOT RECOMMENDED.

Extremely quickly load occasions. I was shocked at how quickly some games and programs loaded compared with the conventional RAID I'm utilised to. Cost per GB is steep. Full install of Win 7, a couple of programs and four games effortlessly filled half the drive. Investigation necessary on optimization, and tweaks to Windows environment variables and Windows data management needed to off-load data onto a larger mechanical drive. I'd be considerably happier with 240GB, but I can't afford it. Managing data storage is a PITA, but the speed has produced it worthwhile....for now. I feel it will turn out to be a nuisance until I can afford a bigger SSD.

Random BSOD, works for awhile then screen starts freezing, goes to blue or reboots and drive is gone from the bios. Months of headaches, ripped system down, updates, switched computers, lost data, financial damage(I use the computer for business). Trust me steer clear of all OCZ products, they know they are faulty, yet keep selling them..... tells us something. Going back to good old reliable spin drives.

Sorry, but I can't feel of a single PRO. Read my evaluation for the OCZ 240gb -- Doogie1MD I purchased 2 of these SSD's from the egg.. a 120, and a 240gb.In between the two, they have failed a total of 6 occasions in 5 weeks with unique failure issues.. Both ending up as paperweights.. entirely unrecognizable by the BIOS. (Read my assessment for the 240 under Doogie1MD)The 240 was RMA'd and the replacement has died as properly. This 120 crashed three times and is now dead right after the 4th OS install.񙖰.00 laptop. And yes, I DO know what I'm performing. I've built dozens of computers, and installed Windoze HUNDREDS of occasions over the last 30 years, and Never had such a failure rate with my difficult drives... EVER! My time and information is FAR too useful to waste on unreliable storage media. I will never ever purchase yet another OCZ SSD ever once again.I know the egg's "Product evaluation Guidelines" prohibit comparing competing brands, but I am not comparing when I state my failure rate with these drives, and my total satisfaction with my Intel X25-M SSD I purchased from NewEgg. I have had Absolutely NO difficulties what so ever with my Intel SSD, and now own two dead SSD's from OCZ. I finally decided to give SSD a try. The most common comment is "My rig boots up soooo fast" and well that wasn't a big selling point for me. The drive is fast (and yes it does boot fast) and s large enough that I can keep the game I'm currently playing (whatever that game might be at the time) loaded on it so I can take advantage of the increased speed. Will be nice when terrabyte size SSD drives become affordable though.

While I had the drive for several months, I was away, and din't install it until September. After 2 weeks, the drive was undetectable by the BIOS of 2 computers. After leaving it off for a while, I could get access long enough to transfer files, then it would disappear again and a yellow light lit up on the drive. The replacement was fast, but the new one doesn't play nice with multiple hard drives.

1st drive received Dead on Arrival and I had to RMA to OCZ. They shipped out the replacement in a few days. They replaced it with a brand new sealed working SSD. Until recent events I've been very pleased with the performance of this drive. Windows 7 boots so much faster.3 months later when the computer woke up from sleeping it wasn't responding properly. So I shut down and rebooted it and it didn't start. I booted up an old backup of Windows 7 and the SSD did not show up in either Bios or Windows. I have requested another RMA but I am concerned about sending my DEAD SSD back, because it was my main Windows drive. I am concerned about my data ending up in the wrong hands. So I think I've lost $ 130 - 150 to OCZ. Needless to say I'm not either a big fan nor a customer. I've looked on the internet and several people are reporting that this SSD does have problems waking up. There were no errors preceeding this failure. I recommend you reconsider either a different brand. Having 2 dead SSD's within a 4 month period is unacceptable to me.

Super rapidly! Loaded the OS, big programs and anything stored on the drive super speedy. Entirely a worthwhile upgrade, if it was much more reliable. 4 months of discomfort free of charge ownership, followed by a total SSD crash, the drive is bricked. I've been waiting far more than three business days to get an RMA authorized. I hit the forums, hit the website RMA link, and known as OCZ more than a dozen time and this thing is still dragging on. With my totally free time, I've been checking OCZ's forum and it appears that this issue is not terribly uncommon. Buyer beware. For as much as this thing cost, and as crucial as a Primary disk drive can be. You'd guess this thing would either be additional dependable or the RMA method would be expedited. Just a guy's opinion. This is my initially SSD. I had installed Windows 7 x64 Pro to it on my laptop. Had every little thing operating extremely smooth. Booted in 16 seconds to my Desktop. I had my laptop tethered to my telephone. I put my machine in standby so I could walk back to my desk. I pulled out the USB cord. Laptop in no way booted again. Method did not recognize that there was even drive installed. I connected it to one more personal computer in a USB drive dock. I could not see the drive in "My Pc." I am very sad, as I truly liked the speed.I submitted an RMA to Newegg. I dread receiving one more 1, but they do not offer refunds, only replacement. This stinks. It is the initially time I have had to return some thing to Newegg, and I have bought sufficient components to create 3 computers from them.Now I require to figure out how to get Microsoft to reset my Technet subscription important for this install. This vertex 2 is a step down so its not the most expensive but it made a HUGE difference in how my pc runs. my motherboard dosnt run sata 3 anyway so i went with this one to save some money and Its great. loading times in game are no issue whatsoever.

Own a vertex 2, vertex le. Both really good drives. A bit pricey, but worth it in my opinion. Beware, some of the drives have compatibility issues with certain motherboards. There is an active issue that's been around for over a year that the drive doesn't wake itself up properly after putting the computer to sleep/hibernation.

Easy to set up with windows 7, automatically configured proper SSD settings. 7.5 rating in windows 7. Super fast hard drive, apps, and games load a lot faster then your average 7200rpm hard drive. would recommend to anyone.

Bought for use with games that have a lot of HDD access (ArmA 2 being one of them.) The SSD has been great so far; running Windows 7 and several games from it. Lightning fast boot time.

I had debated spending the money on a SSD for my 2010 MacBook Pro. I am SO glad I jumped into the game with this one. My computer boot times went from 53 seconds to 11 seconds. Applications launch almost instantly, even Adobe Photoshop CS5 launches in 2-3 seconds. I never realized before how much vibration the stock Toshiba drive had until I installed this drive. The computer runs so fast, so smooth and so quietly that I can't help but wish I had done this sooner. If you're debating the switch, I highly recommend it.

I purchased this Solid State Drive because it was a relatively good deal, and it was time to re-image my computer with a fresh version of Windows 7 64-bit. The drive took almost no time at all to install, my bios read the drive fine, and the new Windows install went off without a hitch. My machine went up quite a few overall performance points.

The last 3 weeks I have bought 3 of these SSD's. Yes they are the "E" version. It has created all 3 PC's quicker. We all know tough drives are the greatest bottleneck in any PC. Positive I have lost 8Gbs due to OP, no large deal for me. My benchmark using ATTO is 275MB/s for reads and 265MB/s for writes. Overall still significately quick with little downside on speed. I know every person desires every ounce of fat and when they don't get it... I produced positive the drives were correctly aligned with Paragon tool alignment. Small price for piece of mind. I tried diskpart for alignment with out achievement.

SSD. We all know why we buy SSDs....SPEED, no moving parts. None so far. SSD technology is nonetheless pricey but thats no reflection on the drive. I read the great and bad critiques on this drive and i was a little skeptical but figured i'd just go for it. So far i have had problems. I have formatted many times, re-installed my OS and restored from backups several times and it has never skipped a beat. I use it as my primary drive in my Macbook Pro with a 500gb HDD in an optibay for movies and music. Now apps launch instantly and boot up time has decreased by half.

No complications with the controller and/or compatibility whatsoever. It is quite fast and with the proper upkeep it keeps its speed lengthy after reformatting.
