Great MP3 player
Comment:
This is the second Sandisk player I have bought from Tigerdirect. I bought a 4GB is January and it works perfectly, so I decided to buy another one. I use one for popular music and the other for classical--They both perform very well. I heartily recommend this player.

verry good for 60$!
Comment:
For the price, I was very pleased the features and look of the player. It has great FM reception, easy switch btw favs stations, the sorting and way around mp3s is all one could expect. Battery life is also good but you have to charge it with the usb cable, no wall adaptor. The only prob I had was with some pictures and videos, it had to be converted or something so I didn't waste time on it.. Again, great product for the price!

good value
Comment:
The delivery service was very quick and the MP3 player is working great. I wish there had been an instruction book with it, but I am finding my way around pretty easily. Volume could be better.

Mislabeled Back Plating
Comment:
When I received this product, I checked the back, in the bottom right corner of the player it said e280v2. When I turned it on to check the info, it said VERSION 01.02.24A, which is the firmware of the v1 players. V2's have firmware that begin with 03. The back plating seems to have been mismatched when the players get refurbished. So the actual version of the player you can receive is totally up to chance people! HIT OR MISS!

It's ok.
Comment:
It isn't the greatest mp3 player ergonomically. The wheel isn't the easiest to move and you will find your finger slipping on it. The price was great. It's good quality. Average features.

GREAT MP3 PLAYER
Comment:
This is my second 8 GB Sansa e280. I also have the 8 GB Clip. All three have a very desirable feature of acting like external hard drives. Thus files can easily be moved back and forth from ANY computer without having to install special software. Dislike other schemes where one must install programs. My main application is spoken word. The FM tuners work just fine also. All the other features are yet to be evaluated. GOOD VALUE. So far so good.

Super deal on a great MP3 player
Comment:
I bought a e250 for my wife for her birthday. She liked it so well, I bought an e280 for me. The controls are easy to use and learn. The display is sharp for the size and the sound quality is great with some other headphones. The tuner comes in well in my building which seems to block out a lot of other radios. For this price I couldn't help but buy more than one.

Need Assistance to Return for Exchange
Comment:
I purchased this as a birthday present for my daughter and it seems to go to a blank screen a lot. I need to return to get a replacement. This is frustrating and one of the reasons I usually don't buy things online because it is easier to go to a store for exchanges. Now she has to start all over with downloads and wait for the return of the MP3 player and delivery of a new one.

Excellent product for the price
Comment:
This is my third e280 and I have no complaints to lodge. The product works wonderfully, controls are intuitive and with 8gb you can store a lot. I mostly listen to music on it. Screen is okay for showing pictures or movies. I also purchased the 8gb microSDHC card ($20) for total of 16gb (have to load Rockbox SW to work). I did loose one to a broken screen (did not survive a day in a bookbag), so be careful of that. The screen is not replacable.

Who needs an ipod when you have one of these?
Comment:
When i first got it, it was very easy to learn all the controls and the radio, although i quickly figured out that transfering music did not work on my Mac (although mine is an old model). It is pretty small, and decently thin. I like the thumb wheel, its cooler than the ipod ones. The headphones arent that great, they are black and do have a cool design, but they kinda fell apart after about two months, no big deal though. Also the back had a dull chrome finish, but after a little while it mostly rubbed off, also no big deal. So basically its a great, attractive lil device, works great, no problems, plays music real loud, and i think the controls are more convenient than most ipod models.

Great Unit
Comment:
You really can't beat this for cost and value. Had it 18 months now, and use it mostly for running, walking and work. Mostly used for Mp3 play, but event the FM tuner exceeds most. Get new headphones, then enjoy.

SanDisk Sansa e280 8GB MP3 Player - Black
Comment:
I bought this a couple months ago. I received the first one and had trouble from the get go. It locks up every few minutes. Sometimes you have to power it down to get it moving again. I sent it back and got another. It had the same problem. Then after about 2 weeks the headphone port shorted out. I am very displeased and do not recommend buying this product!!

Improved firmware is a bonus
Comment:
Also own the e250 (4GB) version of this player, but the e280 has much improved firmware and boots up WAY faster than than my other player. Otherwise is a nice player that does what it is designed to do, though I generally use it only as a music player.

Great Price for a Great MP3 Player
Comment:
I was looking for something small to run and work out with, but really don't care for the ipod and how it forces you to use itunes or the premium you pay for the little apple on the back. This little Sansa definitely fit the bill. The build quality is very good. I really like the metal backplate. The sound quality is also better than I expected. The radio works quite well and the ability to record is pretty handy. I did update the firmware, which slowed start up time some, but it added enough extra features to make it worth it. This is a little bigger than an ipod nano, but really not much and when you consider the extra features and bigger screen you realize they fit more in roughly the same size package. The headphones that come with it are less than great and really don't do this player justice. Overall, I've very pleased. Tiger, as usual, shipped it very quickly (received in 2 business days) and offered it at an unbeatable price.

Bought this for my daughter's 10th birthday - awesome! She loves it, easy to use, has a radio, nice bright screen. Perfect upgrade from her small 256MB player. Do recommend buying a case and good earbuds.

A great bargain
Comment:
I have owned a Sansa C 250 for the past two years, and have been very pleased with the performance. I bought this player for the larger capacity and ability to play videos. There are little issues here and there, sometimes my computer doesn't detect the player (could be my computer, so I'm not holding it against the Sansa, but I didn't have this problem with the other player), but overall it is very easy to use. I sync it with Media Player, and easily transfer podcasts and music. For video, I use Sansa's converter software that I had to seek out from their website, takes a little time, but its not like that's the primary reason I bought the player. I was able to find a wall charger for a reasonable price on ebay, so don't have to use the computer USB to charge it. Nice to have that option when travelling.

Best deal for the money
Comment:
I had Ipods but was not happy not being able to use other MP3 players because Itunes converts all my files to MP4. Heard about Sansa but never had one. Fot the price I got tons of memory and better quality than apple. The best electronic purchase for the price.

Very good but requires practise to learn to use
Comment:
I bought an e280, new, in the U.S. for the same price in $U.S. I've had it for 5 months and haven't had a problem with it. It took a bit of getting used to and has some idiosyncracies. I really like its ability to record FM radio and voice recording (I used it to surreptitiously record a meeting with my lying manager to be able to prove he lies.) I wish it had a timer to automatically record starting at a specific time. One problem I discovered: a video transferred to it cannot be erased without doing it via connection with a computer. Otherwise, worth the price.
