Comment:
Works wonderfully, and the looks are fantastic. The brushed metal face looks remarkable with my Coolermaster 690. Plugs for the fans are in a very inconvenient location. The temp sensor plugs are in a good spot nonetheless. Speaker that alerts you when your fans hit 0rpm (in case of a malfunction Im assuming) Do not regret this get, I plan on getting a different so I can control much more than four fans.

RPM controller + heat sensor modules. Solid, comes with every thing you will need. The display is solid, and holds all facts you want. You can switch in between Celsius and Fahrenheit. The connectors for the fans to the controller are tiny, with my large hands it took awhile to plug them in. Using this with my HAF-932, perfect because I only have four fans ƒx 230mm, 1x 140mm, and 1x 120mm).

Factor items looks fantastic. I have it in a LIAN LI Lancool Pc-K62 Case. I've had issues with computer fan noise forever. I bought a noctua cpu fan so that ended the cpu noise, but the case has four massive fans which make lots of noise. I installed this factor and now I turn down the fans to about 600rpm and I can't hear a issue unless I put my ear up to the case. Nicely, I do hear some noise but thats from my hard drive. I can really hear my new western digital hard drive and they are fairly quiet. That's certainly the only issue I hear. The temps in my case also didn't go up at all. I have a great heatsink fan and gpu fan (vapor-x 5850) and it's a gigabyte board, so I genuinely don't require those fans operating much, if at all. The temp sensors are beneficial - I place them on the heatsinks for the gigabyte board. The knobs feel totally heavy duty. Like this is not a piece of junk. The display on this is also amazing, though you don't see it on newegg, you should youtube it. None - tends to make your computer quiet - and mine is heavily vented so if there's noise, I could hear it. Also tends to make your computer system look super cool. Also, if for some reason you do see temps rising whilst gaming or somethin, you can just crank up the knobs. Just about every personal computer requirements 1, if you can hear your pc, you're doin it incorrect! For gpu - only get vapor-x video cards. For cpu, only get noctua, and as for your case fans, get whatever you want and get 1 of these. Your tough drive still will make a small noise so you can get an enclosure for that, or just break your bank and get a solid state. Maintain in mind that some challenging drive enclosures won't operate - like in my case for instance, it only takes the bare drive since of the custom anti vibration stuff. You can just get a lappy drive and put that in a two.5 to three.five adapter case even though. Solid State is actually the very best way to go for a tough drive if you can afford it.

Fit and finish is tops. Internal connections are solid and of high quality. Display is quite good, fan readings are light green and temp reading are blue. Extremely good LCD readout. Came with two added temp sensors. The entire units feels solid and operates like a charm. I would purchase this item once again. None that I can believe of. Use tweezers to install the fan connectors. Lets me know that thanks to my Corsair Hyrdro 50 water cooler my i5 750 OC'ed to three.36GHz is nonetheless the coolest component out of the GPU, Memory and HD.My fan controllers control two 120mm and two 230mm fans in my Coolermaster HAF932 case. The two 120mm fan range is approx 750 to 1860 rpm while the two 230mm will reach 780 wide open. The fans are rated for 700 but the controller offers it a little additional.Temp readings are approx. ten degrees lower than actual temps. This is consistant so its not a issue.

Scythe KM02-BK 5.25" Bay Fan Controller
Cons:-ugly cables-hard to mount into tool less 5.25" bays-included tape has very weak adhesive

Pros:-does what it does-the LED is decent
Comment:
Pretty much what you'd expect out of a fan controller. The cables were ugly, if you've got a pair of dexterous hands; go sleeve them yourself. Otherwise, expect these (red, black , yellow) cables to clash with any interior of a case. The included yellow tape was a PAIN to have it stick to any surface in my case. Granted most of these temperature probes aren't accurate, and doesn't really do the job of probing for temps, it still would be nice for them to actually stick without it falling off. I'm being picky here; you could probably have done the job with some tape of your own.Another little thing is that the bay is hard to mount onto a tooless 5.25" bays since the tooless mechanism clip into a screw hole further into the bay; this fan controller utilizes the screw holes closest to the outside, and thus I had to remove a few things to reveal the holes.Overall, a very nice controller with a few problems here and there, but fairly easy to fix. I get annoyed at little things, so sue me.Ps. one of the temp probes failed after 2 days of use, they include 2 extra probes with the controller so again, it wasn't a problem.

They look superior in my instances, work well controlling my Scythe fans. The temp monitors are a good added function. none so far I've used 6 of these units in 3 unique builds and so far they are holding up ok immediately after 6 months of use.I purchased these to turn down the rpm's a little on my Ultra Kaze fans, which can be a bit noisy at full blast.

Very simple style. No flashy bling. Capacity to turn fans off completely. Capacity to turn fans at rated RPMs. Unit is glitched only immediately after a short peroid of ownership. The temperature reading is now glitched (stuck reading 25c across the LCD). It took only 2 and half months of ownership before the unit's capability to to tell temperatures became unresponsive. For this I only award two EGGS. 2 eggs for the truth its still working with the fans. -3 eggs for the fact the device is defective.

Great fan controller, will be buying another for my secondary PC. It gives accurate measures of temperature and fan RPM, exactly what I wanted. It also matches the 650D scheme fairly well, but not perfect. The wire colours are the only problem I find with it. They aren't a nice all black wires that can be hidden easily, instead they are yellow, red and black. It stands out in my case and I dislike that, but I can live with it.

Nice build top qualityDisplay is extremely uncomplicated to read.Controls four kaze ultras. It gets extremely hot.I put a temp probe on it and it went to 100c and stopped as thats the max for the temp read out.I had to add a fan to the back side of it to keep it from cooking its self.Following I added the fan the probe I put on the back side of it droped to 41-43c.

Controls temp well, a lot easier than manipulating your 4pin molex connections to a particular voltage (which your psu may not like), also looks cool. Dropped my 4 fans on my radiator from max at 1900rpm to 1500rpm and its a lot much less noisy with quite little decrease in efficiency in this distinct radiator. Overall pleased with the purchase. Hope the unit lasts extended, as I have not had really lengthy. I dont plan on adjusting the RPMs up and down, I plan on keeping them the identical. Temperature readings are not worth hooking up or attempting to use. Wish they worked since that would be additional cool. Dont get this if you totally will need the temperatures monitored externally and strategy to do it with this. Only get this if you are planning to control four fans with great accuracy which it does quite well.

- four fan channels- able to tune fan speed all the way down to zero (very critical)- 4 temperature sensors- RPM indicator- Secure mounting- looks cool: black front plate, LED screen in two shades of blue The LED screen (showing RPM and temps) burned out about 2 weeks into use - Fan control nonetheless functions although.Temp sensors somewhat inaccurate When I got this it looked like it was the ideal controller for the price tag, thinking about all its characteristics. Generally I would give 1 egg to a defective item, but taking into consideration that the fan controls still perform, this controller remains far better than some others.

Turns your fans from off to full RPM - and anyplace in-between - with the speedy twist of a knob. Clear display, accurate reads, no buzz, looks excellent in the case. Cables are long sufficient to reach across my full tower. If you don't have a case developed for cable management, be ready to get creative. I got this with the intention of producing a dual use gaming/audio recording construct. It worked perfectly.

ValueThe black aluminum looks really very goodThe thermometer deal is optional, the wires for the temperature are separate so there's not a large mess if you don't use the temps.Functions with my 12 and 14cm led fans.Effortless setup.Tends to make your laptop or computer appear all the far more amazing and techy. Did not initially fit in my Lian Li case. The controller is too tall to fit in the five.25" bays, so I had to bend some metal parts to make it fit. (minus one particular egg)Doesn't raise speed, only lowers rpm. Obtain some effective fans if you want practical use of this item. Purchased an open box, arrived as good as new. The knobs are flimsy and can be pulled off, maybe a pro if you want to decrease the size of the knobs.Satisfied consumer, I would suggest this controller for any person wanting to lower rpms for four fans and have a slick searching display on their case.

Scythe KM02-BK 5.25" Bay Fan Controller
Cons:-Level of quality and craftsmanship in the electronics itself is not very good... I'd spend a little more and get a Lamptron unit instead-Voltage based controller, not PWM based-Does what it's expected to do, but nothing really eye-catching beyond that.

Pros:-Simple design-Nice looking LCD with decent viewing angles-The pots are very smooth, no grinding or roughness-12W per channel-Able to turn a fan completely off (0 rpm)-Much better quality than the likes of NZXT (a brushed aluminum faceplace rather than some cheap plastic bezel)-Very well-priced
Comment:
I've been using this for nearly 3 years without any major issues (though I never tried to stress the unit all that much). Though I have to say that while Scythe makes some nice fans, their controllers are nowhere nearly as good. One look onto the PCB side and you will see that the caps used are actually not that great. Most of the mini headers on my unit are soldered on like a mess (though it still functions just fine).I've also heard that some users had Scythe controllers blow up on them due to questionable design/manufacturing. But YMMV.
