Scythe KM02-BK 5.25" Bay Fan Controller
Cons: Fan knobs are large, some connectors fall out easily.

Pros: Looks nice, works quite well, temperature sensors seem accurate
Comment:
The functionality of this controller is pretty nice, allowing decently fine control of case fans with ease. The temperature readouts + probes are a good bonus. However, be warned - the knobs for the fans protrude significantly, so watch out if you have a door-type case - it may not close. I had to recess the controller by 2 slots in my Fractal R3 to get it to close. If you have such a case, you'll be better off finding a flatter controller. The power input cable also kept falling out during assembly, but it's fine when in place.

Scythe KM02-BK 5.25" Bay Fan Controller
Cons: RPM display jumps up and down

Pros: Looks goodLEDs not too brightNobs are solid
Comment:
Bought this to use with three Scythe S-Flex 1200rpms. Works great and makes the fans whisper quiet. Since it moves up/down 30 RPM at a time, it sometimes likes to jump between two speeds (reports 960 RPM then 990 for a moment). This seems to only happen with the s-flex fans.

Scythe KM02-BK 5.25" Bay Fan Controller
Cons: -Inevitable mess of wires, especially if you wish to have temperatures displayed.-I would have preferred if the fan input ports were a regular 3 pin instead of the smaller ones they use, this forces the use of the adapter cables they provide you with, which I thought were 3 pin extensions. This adds to the mess of cables. The input ports are in a really small place that makes it difficult to plug in these cables (I couldn't fit my fingers in to push the connectors into place so I had to use a screwdriver tip).

Pros: -Controls four fans without issues.-Displays temperature if you want.-Looks slick and conveniently matches my Kama Bay Amplifier.
Comment:
I like to manage my cables obsessively, so I wanted a fan controller to organize my fan cables in one place (I have five of them). I bought this one based on positive reviews and because its design matches my amplifier from Scythe. It works as it should. I like being able to control my fans at any time to quiet them down or to cool my system while I'm gaming.

Scythe KM02-BK 5.25" Bay Fan Controller
Cons:Poor Fit (fixed screw points)

Pros:Control 4 fans with ease4 temp probes can be placed where you choose
Comment:
I wanted a way to control case fans, and this does that job fine.Read the instructions, and install is easy. Most will want to make sure the alarm is OFF before sticking it into a case!Poor fit comes from the fixed screw threads on this unit. If your case does not have a slotted spot for the screw (mine had a hole not a slot) you may get stuck with a poor fit. Mine sticks out about 1mm from the case, and really is not that big of a deal, not so big as to prevent another purchase.

Very nice in general but when installing you find that u dont have enough space and there is too many wires , and it can make the inside of ur case look like a jungle. Not bad for the price tho.

Scythe KM02-BK 5.25" Bay Fan Controller
Cons:haven't found one.

Pros:-Works as advertised-looks
Comment:
This solved my problem of really loud fans in my case. Allows me to control up to four plus thermal diodes that I can stick in places to get a good temp read out. I'd recommend this. Does what it says. Looks nice on Black cases. Aluminum specially. Using this on a corsair 800D.

Scythe KM02-BK 5.25" Bay Fan Controller
Cons:- Somewhat hard to plug the fan controller plugs

Pros:- Looks nice- Displays RPM and Temps
Comment:
Took a while to install because of the fan plug was right next to the side had to use a pen to poke the plug in. Works as advertised and came with 2 extra temperature sensors.

Scythe KM02-BK 5.25" Bay Fan Controller
Cons:The internal connector wires that you have to manually install for the controller are non-sleeved and ugly. The power connector has an extra molex. I would rather they gave a single molex connector so I could reduce clutter. I ended up cutting off the extra molex. The port for power and the fans are located at an extremely hard to reach place on the back of the PCB. This is a minor point but is something to consider if you are the type of person that is moving wires around constantly, or changing out the temp controller regularly.

Pros:Very sleek and sexy designBright LED controlsTemps monitors are niceCan turn fans completely off
Comment:
All in all this is an awesome fan controller for the money. It looks great, works like a charm, and is very easy to install. The only downside is the layout of the wire attachments on the PCB and the ugly wires that it comes with. Those are very minor points, however, and I would definitely recommend this product to someone else. Great buy!

Scythe KM02-BK 5.25" Bay Fan Controller
Cons:Support for 1A per channel is probably not true

Pros:Great looking;
Comment:
The product is great. I haven't had it for long but it does add a nice touch to my Antec 1200. The main problem is that this case has a lot of fans, especially if you decide, as I did, to include the 2 optionnal fans inside the case. The thing is, this Kazemaster is rated for 1A per channel, which would be more than enough to put 2 or even 3 120mm fans on each channel.I tested with two coolermaster fans (120mm) which take 0,2A per fan. I put both on one channel which puts a load of 0,4A on the channel. I haven't tested this extensively but I can tell you that the little heatsink on the back of the said channel became burning hot after about a minute so I doubt this part would stand 1A for a long period of time.So be aware, as said before here, if you want to buy this for multiple fans per channel use, go for something with more heat dissipation like the Rheobus: http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=28419&vpn=RHK-EX-BK&manufacture=Sunbeam which is exactly the same price tag.

Scythe KM02-BK 5.25" Bay Fan Controller
Cons:None!

Pros:Quality PCB and chassis (heavy steel + alu)*Bright* displayFan and temp connectors labeled
Comment:
I bought this to replace a dead AC-01 (the one that flips open). Upon powering it up, I just went 'WOW!'. This one is _so_ much brighter, and it simply looks great. The speed control has a much wider range than any other controller I've owned before. It's true that the fan connectors are oddly placed, but then they give you _long_ wires (and they label each individual connector; how nice it that!?) so you can connect everything in your case, leave the wires hanging in front, connect the Kaze Master, tie up any excess length of wire, and just push the whole thing back in. Easiest fan controller replacement *evar*.(I inspected my Kaze Master under a boom microscope for bad solder joints but couldn't find any. Build quality A1, front to back.)I will buy again, no questions asked. This review was modfied by poster @ 09-01-09 01:12 PM

Scythe KM02-BK 5.25" Bay Fan Controller
Cons:Build quality of this product is marginal at best. The solder joints on the fan connectors is terrible. You name it this has it: Cold solder joints, disturbed solder joints, fractured solder joints, etc., etc., etc.

Pros:Does a good job showing the temps and the RPMs. Can easily switch between Celsius and fahrenheit by moving a jumper. Comes with extra screws and temp "probes." Looks cool
Comment:
This really is a good looking fan controller. Shows RPM's and temps in F or C with the switch of a jumper. It also has an alarm to indicate a faulty fan.

Scythe KM02-BK 5.25" Bay Fan Controller
Cons:Weak layout at the back

Pros:Looks goodComes with plenty of wiresGood build quality
Comment:
I was "WOW'd" by this thing when I took it out of it's box. Works like a charm, comes with everything, and 2 extra sensors ... good to know they are not afraid to give little extras. My only beef with it is the layout at the back makes it difficult to install stuff, but once you managed to get everything in place, works amazingly well!I prefer it to my Sunbeam Rheobus but then again I've got like 3 fans hooked up to each channel ... doubt the Kaze Master would be able to handle that much!

Scythe KM02-BK 5.25" Bay Fan Controller
Cons:None

Pros:Bright Display - Accurate RPM reading - Easy to install -Looks really good
Comment:
I was impressed before I even started the unit up. They actually put in 2 extra temp. sensors for a total of 6. In this day and age it was nice to see the extra. Anyhow once I installed the unit and started my system it looked sweet. When you turn off a fan the display says OFF. Very cool. Price is right. For anyone running 4 (three wire) fans I recommend this. 14 watts per channel is perfect. There is also a warning beep if a fan gets stuck. Also it was well packaged.

Scythe KM02-BK 5.25" Bay Fan Controller
Cons:-flaky result when duo fanning on one channel-display color doesnt match whats shown on the ncix product page or on the actual product box (!?)-slightly pricey compare to other companies producing the same level product...but if looks important to u than yea go for it!

Pros:-looks great, the retouched surface with bevleled edges around the unit and the knobs fits nicely with the silver linings on my cm690 case.-display rpm for those of u who need to have precise control over the fans.-extra long wires for both the temp probe and the fan powerline. u either hate them or love them. -um.....relatively painless to setup. plug and go-spare temp probes provided-can actually sleep at night (!?). its bright but the light doesnt radiate all over the room like the rhombas-can turn the fans OFF completely.
Comment:
Other than a couple minor flaws the kazemaster ace is everything i wanted in a fan controller. The unit itself is essentially the same as the original 5.25 kazemaster with a retouched surface (beveled edges around the unit and the knobs). Installation is fairly painless partly thanks to the length of the provided wires. The power cables and temp prob cables are lonnnnnnnnnnng. The length given me more freedom on my fan placement although at the sametime i have to be mindful about cable management..altho thats easily solved with a couple cable ties. Scythe went the extra mile and labelled not only the power cables (fan1-4) but also the temp probes(1-4). Not only that, the package also came prepared with 2 spare temp probes for those rainy days. Regarding to functionality, the kazemaster carries out exactly what its meant to do. Knobs are responsive and can be turned easily. The screen updates every 2 sec and theres the ability to turn fans OFF completely without worry of overload. Although a great product, the kazemaster ace doesnt get my 5 stars because of two things. Firstly, the temp display is not the same colour as the one shown on the product box or on the ncix product page. The colour is more toward a light green than blue. Second, if you think you can hook up 2 fans on each channel you might wanna reconsider as I didnt have much luck with it using 2x yate loon 120mm blue led 45cfm fans. The alarm keeps going off every couple minute to warn you that there isnt enough juice to support it. Take it with a grain of salt as I've definitely heard success stories from other kazemaster users. All in all, this is a great purchase for users looking to get into case modding.

Scythe KM02-BK 5.25" Bay Fan Controller
Cons:Cable clutter (using optional thermocouples)

Pros:Pretty, well-built.
Comment:
Allows me to control my CPU/GPU/Case/PSU fans independently without resorting to software. The display indicates the temperature as well as fan RPM...temperature requires that you attach the included leads and route them to appropriate areas of your build. The control knobs are solid and are short enough to fit behind the (closed) door of my P182. Unfortunately, they do not 'click' off to turn off a fan (although rotating the knob all the way to the left will turn off the fan..there's just no tactile feedback).Based on my experience, I'd definitely buy this again (or the 3.5" version).
