-The very best searching fan controller I've ever seen-Works perfectly-LED's aren't blinding -Has smaller ports for fans to plug in to, so you have to use their cables.

Good finish, Comes with Ɣ) 3 pin extension cables and the display is effortless to read even in a well lit room. Knobs could be a small larger and have a heavier feel to them but that's not worth losing any eggs more than. I haven't utilized any of the temp sensors however.

none extremely cheap construction, didn't control fans speeds (defective) and was too modest to fit in the bay on my asus case. i heard good things reading the critiques about this organization.. but wow. how incorrect they had been. besides not operating or fitting my case.. this controller truly made my case appear worse. It's just poorly produced and looks really affordable. i will not acquire anymore scythe goods..

- does what it should the way it must- wonderful - doesn't fit in all instances Controls 4 fans and has 6 temperature probes. It is intended to be installed in a 5 1ǚ" disk bay.Demands the bays in the case be absolutely open in the front. Mine weren't. It have a plastic plate covering half of opening of the bays so that only the disk tray would stick out when open and the rest of the bay would be covered. Simply because of this I couldn't install the fan controller the way it is was supposed to. Rather, I had to install it additional back, behind the plastic cover. So, when I want to change the speed of the fans I have to open the plastic cover, exactly where the CD/DVD would have been, and stick my fingers inside exactly where the disk tray would have been in order to access the controller to adjust the fans' speeds. Not a major issue since I seldom want to do it. The fairly display of the fan controller it not visible, though. Buyers should make confident they do not have something covering the bay ahead of shopping for.

looks amazing. Controls fan speeds brilliantly.(so far) Temp Channel 4 came broken. this thing looks excellent and does its job like a champ. BUT the 4th temp channel is broken, which i seriously wouldn't care about... if it didn't flash and set the temp alarm off non-cease.The flashing kills the looks, and the beeping produced me disable the speaker, killing a different 1 of the main characteristics of the product, the alarm.I would live with the broken channel if it didn't flash...

Scythe KM02-BK 5.25" Bay Fan Controller
Cons:Some aspects of built quality were overlooked.very hard to plug in the fans

Pros:Soildly built, looks great in my haf 932
Comment:
Got this for my haf 932 black edition. It looks great and works great. Only issues I had with it was:1. The nobs on the front were not set the same, so if all of them were in the off position they would all be pointing a different way. At first I thought it was a shame and thought it was really poorly built. But then i realized you can just pop off the buttons and set them, so no biggie!2. The fan cables were very difficult to plug in because they are so close to the side. I had to use tweezers to get in there and plug them in correct. Other than that it looks great, the tape for the temp probes should be black instead of an ugly yello so someone could put them in the case. If anyone is interested in what it looks like in my case:http://img856.imageshack.us/img856/8767/img1077lc.jpghttp://img525.imageshack.us/img525/2775/img1079eo.jpghttp://img337.imageshack.us/img337/3839/img1086c.jpg

Comment:
I was worried ahead of buying this guy, but it turns out it worked fine. The controller has four controls, four temperature sensors. 1 jumper gives your choices for temperature in C or F. Another jumper runs the alarm. The 4 fan cables connect 4-pin PWM to a three-pin plugin on the controller, and there is a molex connection to energy the controller. Six temperature probes are provided, as are six fan cables, but two of each are spares. The controller will control your fans inside 30 RPM, maxing out to around 1200RPM.The knobs are plastic. The VFD display is incredibly straightforward to read with out becoming too bright. Brushed metal finish is nice as nicely. The plastic knobs come off extremely easily from the front, so don't go pulling on them. They go back on just as very easily. The other con is if you have a tool-much less case. You will want to discover a way to screw the fan controller into the case, otherwise it tends to have a lot of play. I have a NZXT Tempest EVO case, and I had to get a screw in on the right side to stabilize it. Nicely packed in foam. Directions are in negative Engrish; throw them away and figure anything out yourself.

Comment:
looks good, controls four fans and gives four temp readings I had this factor for 3 days and all of a sudden smoke began coming out from the knobs. Removing it from my program and searching at the PCB on the back revealed a blown component at Q2 (looks like a 3 prong voltage regulator), which has traces to T1 that also had burn marks (T1 looks like a toroidal transformer or inductor ). I assume it's just a negative style - you've got 1x12V connection coming in that supplies power to 4 fans and the LED display- it's most likely overloading the component, or they utilised a low-cost/wrong component.

Fit in ideal, just needed a small force. The cable length is great for my setup with the Corsair 800D. I have Scythe 120mm "Ultra Kaze" fans x4 in the case, and with this fan controller it operates perfect. None, so far. Read that the tape is a junk, so will invest in electrical tape. Also, the pins where the temperature sensors plug in are be flimsy. Hope the rpm/temp sensors don't fail.

Does what it wants to do. I have owned two of these and had no probs with them. The cables are long and u can use the PWM fans with it. It's not a lot of a con, but it would be nice to get two far more additional temp monitor cables. If your not cautious the temp probe will break off. I nonetheless have the very first 1 I just bought this one for the different front bezel.

I freaking enjoy this thing, I put together my first build and was really pleased with this overall efficiency and look of this. It looks definitely very good and I adore how it has the options to have celcius and farenheit for your temps. If you so desire you can also use the beep feature which I personally don't locate too useful but it goes off when either one of your fans quit working or if something goes up too high on the temp. The only factor that I don't like about this item is that the knobs really feel a little bit flimsy when you turn them but it doesn't impact it too much Superior job skythe!!

Works as advertised with good fit and finish. Only adjusts in 30 rpm increments and not terribly precise (fan speed display will fluctuate +/- 30 rpms). My encounter with this item was consistent with the critiques I read here; thank you folks.

- accurate temperature and fan rpm reading (make confident to have a three pin fan with sensor, it won't read the old 4 pin (big pins, the ones that go directly to energy supply) RPMs, but you can still adjust the speeds)- comes with extra two temperature diodes (makes me factor they will break frequently)- built-in fan failure or overheating alarm (VERY loud!)- you can entirely turn the fan OFF if you want so (the alarm won't sound at that point) None, really Inexpensive, unknown manufacturer... Nonetheless I thought "what the heck". Turns out it's excellent! My last thermaltake fan controller caused a short circuit all of the sudden and my personal computer had an emergency shut down. Very good thing it didn't break anything

The unit does what quite a few do not. It enables you to control up to 4 fans really properly. The unit makes it possible for you to step up fan speeds 30 rpm at a time. No challenge acquiring my 2900 rpm fans at 1200 up to 2900. Overall the unit is solid and appears of great excellent. Temperature probes fairly accurate to +-2 degrees F. Of course it won't agree to the mobo temps but they are close and it's all relative and informative. The LED's are a bit bright Surely reccomend this unit.

Effortless to see what is going on. Increments in fan speed are 30 RPM which isn't critical. Feels like a decent good quality device. 2 added temp monitors with out labels. Cable management. four for fans, four for thermometers, 1 for energy. Interesting to see what my PSU reports I previously had no other way to check on it.

Works as per spec Thermal couples break simple.Be cautiously how far under any Heatsink you install the TC's to object becoming cooled and that is also being torque down, to considerably torque and the small ball on the end will crack, then No Temp readings and or control. Mount it near the edge of a Heatsink and object or use Copper tape to hold it in place on the Heat Pipes near the object becoming cooled. Would be greater if product eng would use TC's that had been produced flat and not two dissimilar metals just welded at the ends, which outcomes in a ball.

Lots of extra cables for almost everything. Nice display. Uncomplicated to install (as lengthy as you keep track of which cables are which). The dial is not poor for adjusting the speed, my fan goes from 400-1300. Begins spinning at about 1ǚ of the dial turn. Tape is not heat proof -_- came off in less than 8 hrs. Not sure how you can connect four pin fans to this thing... I guess I will need to buy some converters. Green readout for fan speed is not a great color... blue is incredibly nice.
