Comment:
Excellent price, sturdy signal, usb extenstion, no drops so far, A bit bulky compared to other usb adapters. Fantastic adapter. Network transfers enhanced considerably with this adapter. Streaming 1080p content material all through the residence with no issues. I haven't experience any drops yet. The three' extension that comes with the package is totally needed. Mainly because of the size of the adapter it would be impossible to just plug directly into the back of my computer. It's fairly extended and wide.Would definitely advocate.

rapid painless install (win xp home sp2), pre-bundled usb extension cable (small), lengthy wifi range, clear strong signal, able to change antenna if you select, custom settings on there wireless client utility. Free of charge wifi from individuals about me. Unit has been on for 64+% of the time from when i got it on Jan 4th 11 with no difficulties. great value (ฤ/free shipping when i got it) not a extremely long pre-bundled usb extension cable. The green light on the usb unit is bright, yaay for black tape. The wireless client computer software was alittle tough to get use as well, but a single i did, it let me fully grasp why my other wifi card did not function some of the time. This unit replaced a links**k (linksys) internal pci wifi card, each units use the same kind of antenna but i get significantly greater rage with this TP-link and it constantly works. picky about what excellent usb extension cable is used, cant be a cheapish ũ or much less (new) cable like i tried it with (yeah i know, cable needs X amount of power range), got a applied one particular for ũ.50 at local recycling center for computers, a lot nicer with a much longer usb cable now.

TP-LINK TL-WN722N USB 2.0 High Gain Wireless Adapter
Cons:Larger than most USB wireless adapters.

Pros:Great reception with no drops. Is as fast as advertised!Easy setup with the included CD
Comment:
I purchased this with a price match that saved me $10. I needed this for the Windows 8 computer I was setting up to test. When first connected it was identified as a "USB 2.0 wireless adapter" but as soon as I installed the Win7 64-bit driver from the CD, it worked flawlessly. I used the included USB cable so that I didn't have to worry about it sticking so far out of the back of the computer. Even though it is at opposite ends of the house from my wireless access point, I am still getting maximum signal strength and speed.

Very good signal excellent. Speeds do not stay consistent additional than a couple of seconds. It is fundamentally a roller coaster if you look at a interface graph. I purchased this mainly because of the high ratings. I'm extremely disappointed, as this is installed in a brand new process. I have no way of operating cable to the location of where this process sits and need a trustworthy wireless connection. All other wireless devices in my home carry out fine when testing. I contacted technical assistance with regards to this problem and they tried to have me set up different drivers. Unfortunately the newest driver is over a year old. If they don't have any other resolution, this dongle will be returned ASAP. There is no excuse that something this simple really should perform so badly.

Functions out of the box with my laptop that has Ubuntu 10.ten Maverick Meerkat installed. No need to install any further drivers at all.The output from 'lsusb' for this device is Bus 001 Device 007: ID 0cf3򏷗 Atheros Communications, Inc. AR9271 802.11nand it utilizes the ath9k wireless driver. It sticks out about 2.5 inches and the antenna is perhaps in the way, depending exactly where on your laptop the usb ports are. Nevertheless, it comes with an extension USB cable so one particular can basically put is exactly where it is much less in the way.

good range, effortless to install a bit bulky, but taking into consideration the amount of tech crammed into this guy i guess it is only a minor complaint i would recommend extracting the diver from the included CD or better yet extracting the driver from the latest driver from the manus. site. this will support alleviate possessing to install the needless bloatware included

Remarkable RANGE, Quick SPEED, and Trustworthy CONNECTION for Affordable!!!! The antenna is a bit huge, but absolutely nothing too bad. It's the average size antenna on a consumer router. I use this with my desktop pc and my netbook. Also, win7 x64 did not install the driver automatically. had to either use the CD, and update driver soon after i had it set up. Nothing to take an egg off for there. Once again, read the pros. I am at the moment writing this from a connection to a router that is 300-400+ feet away (unobstructed view out the window), and I have two out of five bars. Can't pick up something with my other draft-n card!! Just acquire this already!

Simple to install. Performs wonderful. I replaced an old wi-fi G internal card. Now I get 150 Mbps up from 54 Mbps. I played about with the USB extender. Moving it around got me an added bar on the Window's reception meter. I have 5 bars. My desktop is in the basement about 30 feet from the wireless router on the 1st floor of my residence. It's type of bulky. You will shed an adjacent USB port unless you use the enclosed USB extender. I first heard about TP-Link when I was seeking for a new router. I have a couple of their items. They make excellent affordable products. Don't let the lack of brand awareness scare you. It only indicates that they don't spend their cash on advertising. That's why they can sell their goods at such a low value. BTW - the organization is in China. They are market leaders there.

Quick downloads, and low pings in on-line shooters. Occasionally the speed is slow and if you plan to use this with a router and somebody else is using it then that will significantly influence ping. Usually when I play Tf2 its at 50 but it skyrocketed to the 300's to the point unplayable. Disregard my con if you are the only a single utilizing the net. As far as just me utilizing the connection from my router its wonderful and its inexpensive.

Low-cost and decent wireless, I bought this for a person who only has 200kbps net and it worked for them just fine (still does). Windows 7 32bit located the drivers and installed them just fine. I've tested this on my faster 2mbps internet and it downloaded at 1.5mbps by way of Steam (which was very good) Did not come with free funds. owns.

Wow. For $17 on sale this is an awesome deal. Works well (so far) with Windows 7 and gets good signal strength(unlike my dlink dwa-525 POS which wouldn't work line of sight to the router). The usb extension allow me to position it in the room to get the best signal possible. I'm quite happy and wish I bought this first. The antenna would be a little cumbersome with a laptop. I haven't used it as all my laptops have built-in that works well.

Quickly, operates straight out of the box, no dropped connections, beneath Win7 64bit it installs a driver only (i.e. no bloatware) Its large with the antenna sticking out but its at the back of my rig so its not a dilemma. It might be a small bulky for a laptop even though.

Fast installation and connection to my new wireless n network. In no way crashes. I own 3 of these now due to the fact they are all that and a bag of chips also. They even come with high quality usb2. extension cables so you dont have to attach them directly to your device. The only con, in this case, is that there are other wirelessN adapters on the industry that men and women sadly will waste their dollars on even after becoming advised that this one really is just that darn very good. I was so impressed with the solid, solid, packaging that I didn't even feel to really give a good look for a USB2. extension cable until I saw in one more evaluation that one particular essentially was included with the adapter.

Outstanding! This is your remedy.Story for the curious, I had a consumer who just could not get their wireless signal to go from the ground floor on one particular side of the residence to the upstairs on the opposite side of the house (big house). The wireless signal has to get via to numerous walls and the ceiling, nothing at all would do it. Tried adding high power router antenna's, adding the electrical wall outlet power line repeater, adding an access point, nothing worked! At very best if connected it was a 3 mb poor connection that dropped and would by no means have online access even when it said connected. As a Hail Mary, just before figuring out the greatest way to run a network cable line upstairs to add a wireless access point, I tried one particular last attempt. I put in the BUFFALO WZR-HP-G300 High Power Wireless Router and this TP-LINK High Acquire wireless adapter. Connection problem solved 150 mb connection upstairs! Got the similar setup for my residence & son can play WOW & CounterStrike on his gaming Pc no pr No cons at all. Appear at how several reviews there are and it's averaging five eggies. This many high ratings = enough mentioned by itself.
