Thermaltake ST0005U HDD Docking Station
Cons:- eSATA cable is only 3.5 feet- USB 2.0 is a bottleneck- No cooling, so fast drives get hot enough for you to burn yourself on- Leaves HDD circuit board exposed for dust, fingers, and static

Pros:- Supports standard 3.5" and notebook 2.5" hard drives- USB 2.0 and eSATA support, both cables included- AC adapter included- Sleek design- Heavy, won't slip off your desk and feels very sturdy- Eject button to save wear and tear on SATA and power ports

Easiest way to sum it up? I love this thing. At the time of review, I've only owned it for 1 day - but already my old drives have found new use as backups. It's easier than installing a new drive in your case, and it's safer than sitting the drive on your desk while you format/backup your data. It uses passive cooling, so the only noise you'll hear is the drive. However, this allows the drive to get extremely hot in some cases, posing a possible risk for your fingers when you reach to remove the drive. However, the handy eject button saves you from this and saves wear and tear on the SATA ports within. Included in the box is a USB cable and eSATA cable, (For some reason, I got two identical eSATA cables! Mistakes can be so handy.) along with an AC adapter. Installation takes seconds. The actual product looks great and feels hefty and tough. The big X on the front shows it means business. (I think)All in all, this is a fantastic product. You should buy one. Now.

Thermaltake ST0005U HDD Docking Station
Cons:none yet

Pros:small, handles both 2.5 and 3.5 drives , no driver issues with XP/Vista
Comment:
This little unit makes it easy to backup/archive data to a drive without having to mount the drive up. Granted you must care for the drive but its pretty much plug n play as advertised. I still need to test boot from USB but the ability to boot a few OS's , if you don't want a boot manager , would be icing on the cake. ANd nice they include both the USB and eSATA cables! You do need to use care installing the drive and use the button to eject but all in all a slick little unit to archive stuff off to.
