The newer style has the sata connector attached to the left side of the circuit board so you just line it up and snap the drive in location. Horizontal stacking or many units is great, with small rubber feet producing a good fit.

No vents or fan, but my drive idles at 27C and max temp noticed so far is 35C so guess it's actually not a con. Max drive capacity spec is confusing. Page three of the user's manual shows it good for up to 1.5TB, but web page and newegg lists it at two.0TB. Assume the manual is incorrect. I place a Hitachi Deskstar 1TB in it and it works fine so I'm happy either way. Not to be confused with the NST-360U2-BK which is only great for 750GB.

I have it on XP Pro with SageTV and use a 750GB WD drive.... sweet! Runs warm as no ventilation - has not caused a problem yet. eSata plug also pulls out of rear of Pc if there is a lot going on, so place it exactly where it is not going to be moved.
