Pulls alot of heat off of the MCP on the Biostar Tforce 550SE. The fan was failing on the stock hsf. The installation technique is not the easiest. It is practically impossible to align the "wings" before setting the sink down. When you move a wing, it loosens up and you have to choose it back up and try to tighten it. Also, the screws are very soft. I practically stripped mine. I'm a small nervous on how hot the heatsink gets. I may well have to add a case fan blowing proper on it.

Lowered Northbridge temps on my Gigabyte G41-M Combo significantly. Nice fit, even with a Zalman CPU cooler appropriate above it. Cool blue color, matches my blue LED scheme in my situation. Had to use original push pins from old Northbridge heat sink mainly because supplied ones were as well tiny in diameter to snap into my motherboard (Gigabyte G41-M Combo). Had to drill out holes in links to make the old push pins fit. acquiring links to line up correctly just before tightening links screws a somewhat tedious procedure. silent, keeps cpu temps well below what the puny fan/heatsink that came with the processor could do. it idles about 36C and i've in no way noticed it go above 45C under load receiving the little bracket issues aligned can be somewhat of a nuisance, but absolutely nothing worth marking off an egg for. got this to replace a noisy heatsink/fan contraption that came on an 800mhz by way of c3. now my system is mouse-fart quiet.

Quite flexible install options. Northbridge chip is suitable next to my PCI-E slot (Asus A8N5X). With my Radeon 3750 in there it's a tight fit with the stock low profile HSF. Was able to install this at any angle and it fit nicely. Mobo temps read 26 C. Good. Supposed to be passive and does fine therefore far. Fins are a tiny wide so installing a tiny fan looks as though it would be difficult if needed. Overall a nice affordable item.

Wonderful small gizmo. impressed with the installation. all in all, good obtain. its quite big and doesn't have a fan on it, but i bought a 20mm and fastened it in among the fins. Functions superior now. those of you who have limited MB space need to take into account a thing shorter. It had some difficulty fitting beside the CPU cooler and SLI cards. But with a tiny patience and know how, it'll function on anything... virtually.

I put this on a old nForce4 board I had. It was obtaining temps about 48c, and that was with a fan on the NB. With this thing it went down to 25c. Its never ever gone greater then 35c.25c is the typical temp now, fan less! reduced temps and noise. I'm actually impressed I wish they came in pairs. Very very inexpensive but they don't feel affordable. Quality product.

The NB47J had a small more flexibility in the way the arms connect to the heatsink (partly due to a continuous groove for the link bolts to mount in, rather of getting a break that forces the arms too far 1 direction). Like it sufficient that I ordered a 2nd for a DFI MB I have with a NB fan that is starting to occasionally make some noise.
