Comment:
- five.25" mounting program- Plenty of USB ports, Firewire, eSata- Anything seems to work well, and quick- Even in my massive case, the cables have been all long enough (barely although) - Mounting system could possibly have been superior, I was only able to mount a single side of it on my case. Might just be my case although.- Could've employed a microSD card slot for the cost Seems to be an OK product, almost everything works for me on my method (Windows 7 x64) fairly effectively.

Appears to work as advertised. Best selection I've observed if you want combo of card readers, USB/firewire ports and headphone/microphone plug. Kind of flimsy although and it would have been nice if most of the USB and card posrts worked off of me plugging in a single USB cable to the MOBO, not several. If they had the side-rails of this issue in a metal casing (like a CD-RW drive, it would be nearly excellent. The voices.... AAAAAAHHHH THE VOICES!!!!

Comment:
Purchased this unit, mainly because an additional one particular I purchased didn't work with SDHC even even though it's identical twin (just distinct color) did.The card reader operates fantastic. Reads my Transcend 8GB SDHC card, and got study speeds of about 18MB/sec. The green LED is pleasing to the eye. The last reader I got (Sabrient, CRW-UINW) had a red & orange LEDs. Anyhow, upon initially look, the unit does really feel cheaply produced. The complete mounting frame is made of plastic. The sides are short which tends to make it tricky to assemble into case. I changed the bezel from black to silver and 1 of the tabs broke off, but I didn't care because I had no intentions of using that black bezel.

Fits five" space which I need to have since I ordered a case with no three.5" slot. My goof.Has the important card reading slots plus front connectors beyond what I require. None of the card reader slots operate which is what I ordered it for. Reversed the two USB connectors on the motherboard, but got the same benefits. Reseated the USB connector on the reader board in the unit to no avail. I was able to get a replacement RMA. The ű UPS charge is almost half of the ฦ initial expense. If I need to have to pay shipping on the replacement then I have paid virtually double.I tried to deal with the manufacturer but there seemed to be a difficulty with my English explanation. No response in 3 days to my reply.

Every little thing plugs into your motherboard, other units I have require cables to go out of your backplane and then plug into ports on the back of your Computer. Operates Fine Slightly cheesy feeling but functions fantastic.

Every single issue is pluged in as I can see where they go open up ny personal computer no removable disk and path letters There need to be icons 4 of them. 4 every single memory card. WHY the manufacture's sell you A card reader with out an installation booklet and CD is stupid you can ruin the motherbord that way by conecting it up rong.

Extended cables that reach all their connections. All these added ports! Each card category is offered a drive letter, even if no card is inserted (four drive letters are assigned at all occasions)...annoying but livable. But the kicker...it was apparently dead - my sample would read SD cards but not SDHC. All other ports seemed to work. RMA'd it but went out of stock just before replacement could be shipped so no second likelihood possible at this time. Type of a bummer, I rather liked the feature set of this model. I ended up with a substantially less expensive internal card reader (only) instead so I could get some thing speedily. I'll have to do some thing different for the other ports.

None seriously comparing to other internal readers. Cheap plastic pieces. Cables are somewhat brief. Terriable engineering design which the face plate could pop. I have to trim the side to make it slide in the slot smoothly. and, you can only use 2 screws to hold it which tends to make it rotate-in a position... losen USB ports... Will not recommand for men and women hunting for high good quality parts this is entirely not worth for it's value.

Comment:
HD audio port is awesome! now my soundcard senses when I plug in my headphones and shuts off my speakers when I do.three USBs are best for plugging in jump drives or game controllers.Card Reader also functions fantastic Sides are only extended adequate so you can only screw in the close to screw on your case. If only they extended the sides a bit so the reader will be more stable when plugging stuff in. Purchased this since I accidentally shocked my case's USB slots on top of it and due to the fact I got a new X-Fi Xtreme Gamer sound card. Old case audio was ACྜྷ only and the mic port wasn't compatable. This has each ACྜྷ and HD audio ports so you can't go incorrect. Card reader is just a plus =S haven't tried eSATA or the 1394 but I assume they are fine.

Availability of stuff. Has every little thing moved to the front. Audio, USB, even eSATA. Didn't operate extremely well. audio ports don't function on my ASUS M4A78 Pro or my Gigabyte board (forgot the model) All the card ports are their own seperate drive even when nothing at all is plugged in, and causes hiccups on boot with my ASUS board (yells at POST that there's one thing plugged into the port but the media is blank) Overall I wouldn't advise acquiring it unless you want to go by way of a lot of headaches. After two boards (tempted to try a third) and it still doesn't function completly....eh.

This is what All-In-One is all about. Function Rich and thoughtfully design (included were face covered in Black and Silver ...just in case). The only limitation are the connectors. If your motherboard and add on cards do not have the appropriate box connections then you will have to obtain cables to convert or even add on cards to present what you are missing. If motherboards could come out with a "SINGLE regular on-board socket" for 1394, eSATA, UBS, and even case connections.

Okay, I'll attempt to be objective as attainable in this review. This factor works fairly decently; it recognizes every little thing I plug into the USB ports, functions with my xD variety H cards, the firewire and eSATA function for my external hard drives. All of the cables reach to their spots on my significant-sized motherboard, which I hear is an problem with other equivalent items. They actually have a lot of slack so you can tuck them away in an organized style. This thing is truly cheap plastic, not even hard ABS stuff. The front bezel flexes out in a convex fashion when installed in my case, and it sits in the case crooked mainly because it doesn't have a good frame to help it in my screwless case. I put a screw in the appropriate side to attempt and support it, but the screw stripped the low cost plastic when I tightened it, which ends up creating no difference. So when I plug stuff in, it pushes the entire thing into the case a bit.A much more aesthetic concern is the print above the ports, it stands out as well considerably and looks rather affordable and sloppy. Perhaps they could have created it a color that blends a little far better with the material. Apart from, who doesn't know the distinction between USB and firewire? A weird thing is that the card reader and 3 USB ports generally show up as removable USB devices in the process tray, so you can't actually inform in Windows which device is which when you plug it in. It may as well have firewire 800 if it has 400 and eSATA.Either I'm actually stupid or mine didn't come with a grounded cable, because I tested almost everything, and then when I went to plug in my headset to the HD Audio port, my personal computer shut off. Turns out, it shorted out my motherboard, which ended up costing me more than 赨 to replace. I guess the saying 'much is lost for want of a tiny far more' holds correct in this situation. Fortunate for them, all of my harddrive's data was still intact, and it didn't fry anything else. I'll probably be returning this, mainly because there's no purpose something like this need to have occurred. I don't know if it was a crossed wire in the HD audio cord or what, but I'm not going to try and test it once again.

With this installed on my computer I can read nearly any type of memory card out there. It gave me a location to hook up my MB's 1394 header. This will come in handy if I ever get a Firewire device.I popped the Xd card out of my camera and it read it perfectly, and seemed more quickly than using a USB cord from my camera. Ever have a friend come more than with a camera containing pictures you want to download, but no propitiatory USB cord (many of them are )? Just pop out the camera memory card and stick it in this card reader and you're fantastic to go.. You should utilize 2 SATA headers on your MB for all of the slots and ports to operate. I had two, but was already making use of 1 for my case front USB ports. So the USB ports on the card reader are useless. No massive deal due to the fact I can use the USB ports on the front of my laptop or computer W/O getting to open the door of my Sonata case. Newegg rules!

Straightforward to install and shown in Vista without driver. HD audio works excellent.Card reading speed is quickly.Come with Silver faceplate. None so far. All connectors are labeled obviously, it took me much less than two minutes to plug them to my board. After you match the + and GND, no way to miss or do incorrect with the ten pins connector. I will advise.

Simple connections, no gawdy lights. Third USB on panel, which tends to make use of a complete two onboard USB ports on your MB. Three for the USB ports, and one for the card reader. Both front panels (silver / Black) are OVERSIZE. Roughly 1Ǟ" to long - doesn't fit my Lian Li situation (Koolance technique) I had to file down each sides to avert the panel from obtaining to stick out about an 1Ǟ". How does a MFG get that measurement incorrect?Low cost screw holes - plastic holes with wood screws to mount. Not impressed - When I pushed in the plastic tabs to get rid of the front panel so I could file it down, a single of the 4 tabs holding it in location just snapped off. Cables are brief. Not encouraged for tall towers mounted in top rated slot.

Functions excellent - comes with each black and silver faceplates. I've had no problems with the qulaity nor with the front bowing out unlike some other reviewers. Only point I can feel of is that if you do "remove hardware" to pull your USB out it deletes the drive. If you place the USB correct back in it won't recognize it. Then once more, you in fact don't will need to use the safely remove hardware function. Also, the drive reappears if you reboot so not actually a dilemma even if you do use the safely get rid of hardware function

Internal connectors rather of external ones. It comes with a silver faceplate that can be swapped for the black a single. It has assistance for b oth AC97 and HD internal connectors. There is no computer software to make the explorer icons look fairly or modify color when you stick something in it. I had an older card reader that expected you to use external connectors. Needless to say it was an ugly mess behind my personal computer and utilized up a slot, but it had software program that would change the explorer icons and these icons would change color when media was inserted into a slot. Since this card reader did not come with any install disk, I ran the old install disk from my old card reader. So now I have fairly explorer icons that change color. Minus one particular egg for the missing computer software.

Functions perfectly - tested each and every type of card. I haven't been capable to test the esata port but the usb, firewire, and all card ports function perfectly. And almost everything transfers Rapidly - really quick - precisely what you would hope for from usb two. connections. Not truly a con but each and every card just slides proper in and stays there - then you pull them out. No spring loading on something. So could be a tad bit tough to make confident each card is seated even though inserting it. So so so glad I study the reviews and went with this card reader rather of slightly cheaper models. Do yourself a favor and spend the whopping five additional dollars and get 1 that will do the job rather than causing you headaches.
