nMEDIAPC ZE-C98 All-in-one USB 2.0 Card Reader with USB/IEEE 1394/e-SATA Port/HD Audio Ports
Comment:
Uncomplicated to install. Worked 1st time. All internal cables were clearly labeled except for the SATA which is obvious. The internal connectors are all keyed which makes it tougher to insert them the wrong way. Supports either HD audio or ACኽ connector. The panel fit in a five 1ǚ" slot without a problem. The mounting screws go directly into the plastic case. I was concerned about cracking the plastic whilst mounting but I was able to tighten sufficient that the panel is really stable with 4 mounting screws. The CF/MD connector is open on the top. If the panel is mounted sideways a CF disk could drop inside the chassis accidentally if you insert the CF at an angle. The connector has guides on the side which will lessen the problem if you are cautious. The SD/MMC connector also has a gap in the top of the front panel above the connector huge sufficient to accidentally fit an SD card.Microphone and headset connectors are really stiff. Internal cable has a SATA II connector that goes to the eSATA connector on the front panel. (I couldn't tell if this was SATA or eSATA from the specifications.)Internal Cables are:One 1394 Firewire cableOne HD Audio and AC97 (one cable with two connectors)Two USB cables each with 10 pin headers Ɣ USB portsƛ SATA II cableInternal cables are about 2 ft lengthy.

Comment:
Straightforward install, solid motherboard connectors, supports AC97 or HD-Audio, silver faceplate looks superior in my Lian Li aluminum case. No driver install for XP. Plastic construction (not metal), faceplate was a bit tough to swap but got it with a little patience, MS slot is a bit tight as reported previously (but who utilizes MS any more anyway?). You'll have a hard time beating this one at this price.

nMEDIAPC ZE-C98 All-in-one USB 2.0 Card Reader with USB/IEEE 1394/e-SATA Port/HD Audio Ports
Cons: The short sides make it a lose fit in most cases.

Pros: Good value. Comes with a silver plate cover too.
Comment:
No rocket science ... but it does the trick for those who need the 5.25 inch sized card reader. The sides are too short so you can only get one screw (in most cases) so it may not sit perfectly in the case. Still, a great value and I'm giving 5 stars for that.

nMEDIAPC ZE-C98 All-in-one USB 2.0 Card Reader with USB/IEEE 1394/e-SATA Port/HD Audio Ports
Cons: Lots of cablesWide front panel

Pros: Works as advertised
Comment:
I bought this to replace my old USB card reader and it seems to work just fine. I have it running on 64 bit Windows 7 and it works with no drivers. The only downsides I have encountered so far is that there are lots of cables to hook everything up (2 USB, 1 Sata and 1 1394 connectors are needed). Also the front panel is a little wider than most 5.25" drives so I need to wiggle the front of my Antec 300 a bit to get it off now. A good value for the price.

nMEDIAPC ZE-C98 All-in-one USB 2.0 Card Reader with USB/IEEE 1394/e-SATA Port/HD Audio Ports
Cons: No external eSATA powerPlasticLow overall quality (but, who cares, for what it does)

Pros: Convenient card readers, 1 Firewire, 3 USB, front audio and eSATA.Cheap $
Comment:
Very handy front panel, very simple. Note that it obviously requires many headers on your motherboard, so you might end up with a few features disabled. You will need: 3 x USB headers, 1 x Firewire header, 1 x audio (HD or AC'97) and 1 sata port in order to profit from all the functions. Personnaly I didn't use audio; my case offered it already.Side note, it has one of the most engrish manual I've seen in a while.

Cons: could fit bettertoo many separate cables

Pros: lots of formats supportedprice
Comment:
Well, I should have read the reviews on this, as I too, couldn't plug all the cables (there are 3!!) on my MOBO.There's also a cheap feeling to it. For example, put in a MS card and there's a lot of play, almost 1/16 inch. It's not the best looking neither is it very sturdy, but hey, it does work.

nMEDIAPC ZE-C98 All-in-one USB 2.0 Card Reader with USB/IEEE 1394/e-SATA Port/HD Audio Ports
Cons: Headphone & mike jacks.

Pros: PricePerformance
Comment:
All the extra front connections are a nice addition to a simple card reader. It works perfectly, and has no trouble with larger capacity cards. Only the headphone and mike jacks don't feel very 'snappy', and whether they will stand the test of time remains to be seen. Regardless, I am very satisfied with this item.

Cons:Faceplate was a little wider that all the other faceplates on system.Make sure you have room to plug everything into Mb or you won't be able to use everything.

Pros:Supports all card formats I no of.Provides usb, esata ,firewire for use on front panal.Value for the price.looks nice in case.extra face plate for different colour needsavailable sound & mic.
Comment:
I wrongly assumed that I would be able to hook everything up and also thought It would be convenient to have it all accessable on the front, my case had everything I needed on top so I gave this card reader to my brother and bought a reader with only the features I needed.Live and learn, so they say!!! The face plate did'nt fit right in my case as it was wider than the rest, that was annoying? Alls well that ends well !!! My brother needed one and was very happy with it, once installed. He has older comp., and realy needed the added features plus he had available hook-ups for it all . He especialy liked the ability to us front jacks for sound and mic. Overall my brothers happy with product and I'd buy for him again in a heartbeat.

Reads my sd 4gb memory card with no problems. At first it would disappear when I went into my computer. I would have to restart the computer. After I reformatted because of a nasty virus, its been fine ever since. I'm still running an AMD Athlon 3200+ (2.1). I like the idea of having 3 USB in front. Overall, good product.

Cons:cheap cables and components, too many cables.

Pros:not much strength
Comment:
Not all mobos can accommodate all the cables. If you have other device you needs to use the USB interface on your mobo, then you have to choose between this one or the other device. In my case, I just use the card reader since I already have other accessories preinstalled with the tower.

Pros:Lots of cables! Low price!HD AUDIO port!
Comment:
I dont mind the looks on this panel, overall I like this product, it's nice with the HD audio in up front, I also like the 3 USB plugs, but i'm sure 2 will do the jobs and cut one of the cable out. IEEE 1394 are not use very often, so that can also be cut. I hope my review helps:) Enjoy, If your buying this product.

Cons:Feels cheap when you put cards in.

Pros:Nice looking.
Comment:
I like it. It does what it advertises. It feels cheap when putting a sd card in. Feels kinda ruff going in like the entrance is a millimeter to small. Scraps the side of the sd card a tiny little bit. I can live with that. The length of the cables if you have a full tower will not reach a lot of the usb/ sata/ ect plugg in's if you install on the top of your drive bays.

Cons:Lots of cables - Price a bit high

Pros:Tonnes of ports
Comment:
Cabling this is a mess but its worth it if you do a lot of SD-card reading and need more USBs. Very few people are not satisfied with USB card readers etc so this is a specific product and if you want it you're probably willing to live with its downsides as well.

Comment:
Put this in my primary machine so I could ReadyBoost. Turns out all those extra USB ports are pretty handy too. Decent quality and a good buy when on sale. Black faceplate looks great on any black case. Only thing I don't like is an SD card sticks out more than 1/2 it's length when inserted...makes it vulnerable to damage.

nMEDIAPC ZE-C98 All-in-one USB 2.0 Card Reader with USB/IEEE 1394/e-SATA Port/HD Audio Ports
Cons:- plastic construction

Pros:- cheap- does the job- large amount of external connections
Comment:
I put this in a Compucase 6k60 matx case, unfortunately the case only supports screwing in on one side and a small "nib" that is supposed to catch the other side. Tightening the screws into the case too much caused the card reader to bend slightly so the front plastic portion started to bow outwards. But not doing so, inserting a SD/CF card would make it slide back into the case as the plastic housing isn't the sturdiest in the world. Other than living with the slight bow/curve, it works perfectly fine

Pros:PriceEasy Installation4 USB Ports!ESata
Comment:
I have been thinking about purchasing a card reader for quite some time and the latest sale finally convinced me to carry through with that desire. This reader makes more sense to use than constantly hooking up several digital cameras via their usb cables. Installation was pretty simple, made all the right connections and I was off to the races. The only odd issue I had was a brief reboot loop my computer went into after installation. I was able to solve it through a BIOS option to disable legacy USB storage detection.
