AMD Phenom II X6 1055T 2.8GHz Socket AM3 125W Six-Core Desktop Processor
Comment:
This processor is incredibly rapid. It stays cool. It's low-cost. It can multi-process like a champion. This tends to make it a best processor for my needs. I genuinely can't think of any. It's not as fast as the i7s, of program, but then it runs a lot less costly. See other thoughts. I owned an i7 920 C0. I got it to overclock to 4.0GHz on water. It was incredibly rapidly, but honestly I can't tell a distinction in everyday use compared to this at three.35GHz. Is it capable to crunch numbers as quick? No. But do I notice? No. If you're unsure, go ahead and get it, unless you want to wait for Bulldozer, which need to be arriving Summer season 2011. I am personally really glad I bought it.

Freaking blazing rapid! For the cash, it can\'t be beat. Paired with an ASUS M4A88T-V motherboard, OC'd to 3.2Ghz, no difficulty with the stock cooler. Runs amazingly quick. Doesn't come with a absolutely free toaster. I know this doesn't imply a lot to most folks but, Windows 7 gave the processor a 7.five out of 7.9 score on the Windows Expertise Index. Freaking wonderful.

rapidly as hell. simply overclocked. never goes over 40% when playing any game. the cost of this sucker just can not be beat. amd just cant touch intel. you get what you pay for. but for the price of this processor i can\'t rate it any less than 5 eggs i have had no troubles what so ever. other than me pushing video game graphics to greatest on just about every game, simply because i have a gtx580, i feel a bottleneck.

none I received this AMD CPU with a bent pin. Ive usually loved AMD and stood by their goods, but now they have failed me. Apparently, according to newegg, i have to go by means of AMD to get my Processor replaced. If AMD replaces their defective CPU i will gladly forgive them and retain purchasing their goods. If not, i will look elsewhere.

Excellent performance to price ratio, fantastic heat dissipation, and six cores! Can't think of a 1. I looked high and low for efficiency compromises and price/benefit ratios when upgrading my AMD dual core processor. I identified this to be a wonderful, potent, high overall performance drop-in upgrade, and that I wasn't giving up significantly compared to replacing my motherboard with an Intel-compatible board and Intel processor.

Price/Performance, hands down, this is it. I've been spending budget method overclocking PCs considering that I pushed a 486SX to 40Mhz just about 20 years ago, and let me tell you, this processor is a Overclocker's dream. You can get ӯ.5Ghz totally stable with stock cooler around 1.45 vcore. With a excellent aftermarket cooler four.0Ghz stable is easy. See instructions in "Other thoughts" section. ZERO. Are you on a budget, but want to run with the big boys, then acquire this. How to Overclock this processor to four.0Ghz stable on very good aftermarket cooler: Set CPU vcore voltage to 1.475 volts. Set Bus Speed to 286Mhz. Leave CPU multiplier at x14. Turn off "Turbo Core" function. Do not OC northbridge, so set its multiplier to x7. Set HT Link speed to the exact same as the northbridge. Reduce multiplier on RAM to preserve it beneath it's rated frequency. You can attempt to OC RAM later if you like.

Nicely 6 cores for 1. Overclocks to 3360mhz. Stable as can be. Idle is like 35c and max load in the course of p95 is 50c with a well-liked am3 aftermarket cooler. Pricey. Cores not unlocked so have to OC ram with it. Functions good. BC2 runs at 40-50% cpu usage in full force.

I really really like this chip, I actually genuinely do. For what you spend this chip has bested all my prior AMD chips so far 񢑄+, 5000+, 8750, 720). The improved IMC on these Thubans let for a substantially much better overclocking experience then anything AMD has put out because the late ྖ's. And the temperatures for how nicely they do OC is extremely respectable. At a 4Ghz OC beneath air cooling I'm in the mid 40's. (That's before adjusting for error granted) But over all I'm so pleased with it I assume I'll actually be stickiing this out for a couple of years. I assumed it was just a place holder till BullDozer came out, but upon reflection....why do I care about BD? This does it all plus some, not to mention I HATE benchmarks! Lower Single thread performance then existing Intel chips, that is known going in even so. If you like your superPI, or appreciate posting benchmarks go with Intel. If you actually want good Real overall performance for an extremely priced program construct, it's tough not to advise these Thubans. I was operating at 4ghz for a few weeks, recently decided I didn't know why I necessary it that high and turned it down to three.eight. Besides the very substantial drop in Vcore that turning it down permitted it strangely appears like my system is even more snappy right now then it was. I'm suspecting that this is due to some underlying HT or memory timings. I haven't had time to fine tune and investigate as i do have three children that rightfully take up about 99% of my time, but I hope to much better get every thing tightened and synced up in the future. Attempt out all your timing alternatives though if you have the required time to do so. Use some information tests as nicely as just feeling it out to see what your distinct system likes the ideal!

Produce CPU runs fantastic. Runs anything I throw at it simple. It is almost everything I was expecting. Can not overclock with no an following market cooler. The cpu and stock fan do not permit area for any overclocking not even to three. (waiting on cpu cooler to more than clock) I would get it once again for a different develop in a heart beat. Except the 1090T is now 199.99 so you may as properly get that one particular and not have to acquire a immediately after market place cooler.

Fantastic processor its not the black edition but nevertheless a good processor for most games. It was a big increase to my efficiency with crysis game averages about 55 fps on gamer settings and nevertheless runs extremely well on enthusiast. Its up there with the wonderful processors for price range minded shoppers, and looks future proof. Hopefully games like crysis two take into consideration the 6 cores. I wen't with an SLI motherboard which is the dominant element in game performance. Like I said its not the black edition.
