AMD Phenom II X6 1055T 2.8GHz Socket AM3 125W Six-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:heat sink is loud

Pros:Works fine and fast
Comment:
This was really hard to install on my mobo. The cpu was easy the heat sink was extremely difficult. I had to use a ton of force to get the fan on right. The heat sink is a little loud too. Other then that works fine.

overclocks itself when an application cant use all the cores because there are so numerous cores, the benchmark equivalent of this processor in quad core would run single core applications greater since every single core in a quad core processor is quicker. even tho it from time to time overclocks single cores at a time i want to someday make all 6 overclocked.

Fast, Six cores. Like the other persons stated, they overclock like mad. I may possibly just be a noob, but I was suprised how a lot force I had to use to clamp the cooler down! Not seriously a con, just guidance I guess. It kinda freaked me out my initially time, that's all. I got this to upgrade from a 3800 dual core and this is a very nice improvement especially when rendering video. I very easily overclocked to 3.8 and will try for 4 ghz when I have more time.

Easy install, super fast, and comes with a heatsink with paste already applied, and although I didn't use it with this one, it came in handy on an older machine. Well worth the money spent

Cons:none

Pros:fast, cheap
Comment:
This is an excellent processor for the price. How can you go wrong? 6-cores, 6 threads for under $200.00. I would love to see if Intel can do that. Intel's 980X is triple the price if not quadruple. Good for overclocking even though it does not have an unlocked multiplier like the 1090T BE.

AMD Phenom II X6 1055T 2.8GHz Socket AM3 125W Six-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:Can't think of any, the thing rocks.

Pros:Quick, cool running with basic aftermarket cooler, easy 4GHz overclock, decent stock cooler (didn't use though), turbo core is a neat idea (also not using)
Comment:
Easily got 4GHz on all 6 cores after disabling turbo core. Runs cool with Xigmatec s1283 (~43*C idle, ~61*C full load u4GHz). Voltage seems to be all over the map but that could be due to motherboard. Skyrim plays beautifully maxed out paired with one GTX 460. What more could I ask for.

Six cores what can I say. Its wonderful for a multi-tasker like me who has 15 to 20 webpages up at a time and other programs that I switch between. My 1 core sempron I had ahead of would get overloaded now I have no challenges. It also enables me to play the newer games which seriously require more than one core. none I lastly had sufficient funds to acquire all the parts for my new computer system and have to say moving from a single core sempron am3 to a phenome ii x6 am3 was incredible to say the least. There was no waiting for something else to load or technique locking up due to the fact the cpu could not handle it.

Overclocked to 3.6 Ghz with out elevated voltage Ɠ.598 GHz)Low temps even when overclocked. No unlocked multiplier makes overclocking much less flexible, you can use a multiplier of 14,13.five,13., etc., but nothing greater than 14. I used 14x257򕳞. I am also overclocking my GSKILL Ripjaws RAM rated at 1600 to 1713. I employed an m4a88td-v evo/usb3 motherboard with tuniq tower for a cooler. My peak temp running p95 for 10 hours was 51C, the measurements for the individual cores were no greater than 38.5C. Anything is perfectly stable. I got it up to three.7 GHz by raising voltage, but decided to back down, I don't want to tension my CPU that a lot. It seems as though each the RAM and CPU have close to the exact same limit in frequency.

Cost to efficiency ratio is excellent. I have an really tough time maxing this thing out. I definitely don't max it out even though gaming. This factor is a beast, for the income you can't go incorrect. none Often liked AMD, I'm not 1 to fret over benchmark scores. AMD rigs have generally given me excellent efficiency. I always bear in mind getting faster performance overall than all of my buddies with Intel based rigs. Possibly mainly because I have some additional dough leftover to acquire other components that don't bottleneck?

six cores. Effortlessly overclocked to three.8ghz @ 33C idle and could go higher. Making use of the coolermaster v8 heatsink. Affordable. no hyperthreading. Calls for aftermarket heatsink if you strategy on overclocking. Wouldnt risk it plus stock fan is loud. rumors of the cpu thermal sensor reading incorrectly on the low side so be careful. By no means owned a high end intel chip and this was my initially custom built rig. For the value and speed and ease its shown me so far its a wonderful acquire.

Packs a punch for the price tag.Excellent performance for the value.Hardly any noise when thinking at 100 percent.Incredibly cold 21c idle and 41c at 100 percent on a stock cooler!Incredibly nicely built processor and I can't think the price tag on this factor it quickly compares to the i7 series for about half the value.Very worth it. A small slow till you get the bios updated so it's suggested that you update your bios when utilizing a 6 core processor :) Don't forget to install your chipset drivers and update to the most current motherboard bios. This thing runs so cold on the stock heat sink I'm fairly confident you could crank it up to three.2ghz on the stock cooler and have no concerns.

I bought this for a new system, and I'm not disappointed. You just can't go wrong with this product, it is one of the best AMD cpu in terms of price/performance. If you buy one, you should really look for an aftermarket cooling solution. The heatsink include in the box will cool your cpu enough if your not overclocking, however it's really noisy.

Sleeping powerhouse! i had all intentions of OC'ing this puppy to just below 4gigz and have totally no need too.Its good understanding that this CPU is essentially future proof for some time to come. Doesnt have unlocked cores (increase multipliers) for "easier" OC'ing (just raise multiplier vs. Core Bus and altering HT and NB frequencies).Realistically...there is no need to have to OC this factor, if yoy needed to, that's uncomplicated as properly. I've had mine given that Might 2010 and I only just decided to try some OCing. Got to three.five stable no troubles and nonetheless runs really cool. Has run extremely well and just plain eats whatever I throw at it. Wish it was a BE, but we can't have it all :) Outstanding Processor for the price and the performance. As these continue to come down I could have to seriously look at 1 of the 1090s but for the time getting this is a extremely sweet little processor. 7.four in Windows 7 @ base speed and 7.6 OCd to 3.five
