Overclocked to ӯ.5ghz stable on stock voltage with a Gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H making use of a Xigmatek 120mm cooler and maintained ㅢC below 100% load on all cores.Really rapidly CPU and totally extraordinary for multi-tasking.Cheap(ish) Could not be very as rapid for some single threaded applications but the distinction is very easily produced up in the multi threaded applications and the added cores. This is the initially AMD chip I've owned and I'm incredibly impressed thus far.

Just awesome. This processor along with it's cost ought to be in a position to convince most intel users to "make the switch". Simply OC'd to 3.2Ghz on stock fan. Fan looks super cool as well. :P None. GET THIS PROCESSOR!

I have built many machines with this processor, in different configurations and it just plain shines for utilizes ranging from everyday computing to high-power gaming machine. For the funds, it's my personal choice for a efficiency processor. Mayday, mayday...we're losing altitude, we're going down! Oh wait, that's the stock CPU cooler that sounds like a crashing jet plane. This issue is just plain entertaining to OC.

Quite cheap! drop in replacement for an x3 on a fairly old mobo admittedly with a BIOS update, with 8GB DDR2 RAM, absolutely not the finest configuration but already seeing a distinction when rendering video. None actually! The purple on the box isn't really attractive.

Blazing quick CPU. Very advocate. CPU fan is Extremely loud. Fan noise can be modified in the MSI ControlCenter app that comes with the motherboard I got with it. Was running 100% 񢟈 rpm) speed and then revved up even increased through games. Applied MSI CC to dial it back to 50% 񢏠 rpm) and considerably much easier to deal with from a volume standpoint. Temp stays at about 31C at this decrease speed in the course of standard operation. Temp goes to 41C throughout gaming.

Amazing multitasking performance. In transcoding and rendering video, there is no faster CPU outside of Intel's 逤+ models. Since this is mainly what I use it for, it's an unparalleled value. None, actually. If you game, you could want to appear at Intel for highest performance per clock, but AMD nevertheless has great price tag/performance options in this block. I've been developing PCs for practically seventeen years, and this is the initially year in fifteen I've begun to appear at AMD seriously again. Quad-cores for 贄? Six-cores for much less than 赨? For transcoding and rendering video, there is merely no superior deal than that.

This factor will multi-activity incredibly nicely, I under no circumstances typically have additional then three tasks going on at once even so so I'm not stressing it at all. Game load instances are cut in half from my old Athlon X2 dual core two.8Ghz .. I can load a very first level in Crysis in about 30 seconds, and in about 13 seconds any level immediately after that.It also runs nice and cool, even when under load it's never gone above 30 degrees C for me. none

This CPU is as quick as you want and the stock cooler is very quiet except below heavy loading. Even then the CPU fan noise is not poor. I haven't installed a new CPU in a couple of years so I was confused by presence of the thermal pad already applied to the heat sink. It appears to work OK. If you want to overclock you'll probably want to use a diverse cooler anyway.

Clocks well, six cores, incredibly snappy at higher clocks and has huge torque for heavy work. It reminds me of a high revving turbo diesel. On chip temp reading are incorrect. Way lower than actual read from the motherboard sensor. My old x4 was generally within 1 degree between mobo and chip sensor. Mine reads like 12 degrees much less than actual. On tech forums everybody knows about it SO BE Cautious. It's not a issue if you know about it so no eggs off. Adore it! Can't wait for bulldozer. I purchased mine in a sealed box and that individual did get it from NewEgg but for an intel personal computer!

Cons:Stock cooler loud at higher CPU usage

Pros:6 CoresReasonable priceGood for multimedia transcoding
Comment:
This is a great AMD processor with 6 cores which I have only utilized during HD video transcoding. This CPU transcoded roughly 1 hour worth of HD video in about 30 minutes. My old dual core computer would probably take 4-6 hours to do the same!Very impressed and I never get over 20 % of CPU use during normal computing. When the CPU usage is higher, the stock cooling is kind of loud, though.Nevertheless, highly recommended.

Cons:Locked Multiplier

Pros:Price6 CORES!
Comment:
I got this in a bundle with a Gigabyte GA-990XA-UD3 MOBO on NCIX boxing week sale. There was no problem installing this CPU into my new build. It has a decent cooler included with thermal paste already on, ready to go, however I didnt use the stock cooler with this CPU. I bought a Coolit Systems Eco CPU Water Cooling System instead. I installed this stock cooler on my old machine that had an old stock cooler on it and I can say that it dropped the temp from ~50C idle to ~35C idle. So it must be OK. I must say that this CPU is great! Stock speeds are only 2800MHz but it can be overclocked quite well. Paired with my new liquid cooler I overclocked to 3639MHz very easily and I see no problem going further. At the current clock speed, I'm idling at ~19C and under the OCCT stress test for 1 hour I maxed at about 40C. FYI. This CPU's multiplier is locked so it has to be OCed by adjusting the bus speed and tweaking the other multipliers. I love the multitasking capabilities of 6 cores. All my video editing has received considerable improvements in speed and gaming is much better. I recommend this CPU.

Of course, it's rapid. In specific applications, it's the fastest CPU out there. In gaming, it's just typical in the high-finish CPU world, but for the price, it's a excellent balance of everything. Lower clock speeds for the price, but that's typical with 4+ core CPUs. No true negatives. Games can only take benefit of around 3 cores proper now. However, as games evolve, this CPU could survive a lot longer than its fewer-core competitors as it will preserve stepping up to the plate with a entire other totally-functional core ready to take gauntlet three occasions over. It's the ultimate future-proofing CPU for every category, in my opinion.

Bloody rapid!Remarkable cost that can't be beat!Even with the stock heatsink, it idles around 20C None This is just an absolute beast of a CPU. For ฤ additional, you can "upgrade" to the three.2 GHz 6-core cpu by AMD. It won't make substantially of a noticeable difference, so that option is up to you

AMD Phenom II X6 1055T 2.8GHz Socket AM3 125W Six-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:Not an i7

Pros:Fast, great for multitasking, and not a slouch in single core intensive programs (like gaming and HD video).
Comment:
This processor is more than adequate for every day and advanced users. Its great for HD video with background processes like torrents, and browser windows. Its also good for gaming, (Battlefield 3 and Starcraft II work really well on Medium to High settings). The downside of course is that this is not as blazing fast as a newer Intel Chip in the i5 or i7 line-up but the pricing more than reflects this and I would buy it again.
