Rock Solid MB
Comment:
After another motherboard lasted for a little less than 2 years, decided to go back to the tried and true ASUS. It was as advertised and booted up smoothly first time with no issues. I gave it a slight hit on Performance because I got a lower Windows Experience Index than with the other MB, but that could just be a Windows thing. It seems to be as fast as the other, but then again, I'm not a gamer.

Typical ASUS Quality
Comment:
For a low budget build this motherboard has a lot of features that cheaper mobos don't give you. Its easy to work with and is high quality with high dependability, like any ASUS I have ever worked with. Great bang for the buck.

Great

Great product. Built the PC from pieces and as always the ASUS motherboard was top notch. Fit the case perfectly, instruction manual was dead on and easy to follow. Running like a top.

This came as part of a kit. It was easy to install and get running for a first time builder. Much faster than my 6 yr old system and hasn't caused any issues in 2 months.

It is What it is
Comment:
I've owned four Asus boards over the years and have learned one thing; failure of an Asus board isn't because of the quality put into it's build but rather my inability to adhere to basic system building practices. The great thing is, Asus has always replaced the boards I've broke. The board gives you features usually reserved for higher end boards at an entry level price. Take advantage of the board and have someone else do the build if you're not comfortable doing it yourself

Comment:
Good for basic and small office production... my board lasted two years - got mine from PC Club right before they went bankrupt - paid full price and learned my lessson from trusting those idiots and a company that doesnt make performance pc parts.. boards burnt out as of right now - few minutes ago - and im looking for a new one.. preferably an ex ef ex 780i which as of right now is only $10 more than this board after rebate and is much much higher quality... dont learn the hard way like me.. dont try cheapy brands... go for quality for nearly the same price or it WILL come back to haunt you... not only am i out of a board but im also inconvenienced with having to use my backup crappy computer.

Working fine
Comment:
Bought because needed to replace a mb and this was best board for price which fit my legacy needs. Added a PCIex1 card to get second IDE controller so could reinstall 4 IDE components. Easy install, updated BIOS (easy), and everything working correctly. No problems with sound, using surround with woofer and it is beautiful. Using the machine to convert vinyl to cd and vhs to dvd mostly. No anti-v or spam killers installed in it. Only go online with it to update os. Pent 4 Prescot installed and the thing is super fast without all sorts of crap trying to call home. Downgraded Features because there is only one IDE connection. This is my second SLI ASUS board anfirst Intel. The other is an ASUS AMD and both boards were well worth the money.

Great product at a great price
Comment:
Pretty good board. I'm not doing anything to demanding, but it performs well. I do have a decent gaming system and everything runs well on this board. I would buy it again. Running an overclocked 260 GTX, with an extreme X6800 intel chip. For the price if you don't plan on doing triple video cards this is a great board. It's very plain looking. Usually I build pretty crazy systems and this one's a little more tame.

Good deal
Comment:
It was a easy install with this Mobo and no problems with the BIOS. I used the Q9400 processor with 8GB of memory. I set up the SLI with 2 geforce 9500GT, 500watt PSU and reused a few SATA HDD and DVD that I had from other builds.

Money's worth
Comment:
Not my first Asus Mobo, won't be my last. Essentially a plug-n-play set-up on a fresh build... not one issue to report. Plenty of Bios richness and all the features I was looking for.

Awesome Product
Comment:
This mobo has been running for 1 year straight and hasn't given up on me. Other than the small gap between the two pci-e slots this motherboard is a champ.

Horrible
Comment:
Where to start with my headache? Well this wasnt my mobo of choice, but the gigabyte mobo i wanted was sold out. SO i thought this would be sufficient. The bios is not very feature rich. The mobo runs hot. Drivers are a pain. Had to experiment with different drivers for the mobo sound. Tried the latest drivers on the ASUS site, fail. Tried the drivers on the realtek site, fail. Tried the drivers from windows updates, fail. Eventually I had to go with an older driver to remove the hissing sound. The nvidia chipset drivers were a minor pain for various reasons. Here we are under a year from the date of purchase, and the mobo is now dead. I was planning an upgrade to a Core i7 860 around the time this started to die anyways, so I didnt bother with the RMA processes.
