I got this in June last year and it has worked out very well. I got my E8400 to 4Ghz stable, I wasn't limited there by the motherboard but instead by the temperatures.

I bought this as a package at the same time as one of my gaming friends. We both have had nothing but problems, and we both have returned these boards and ordered something else. My system wouldn't even stay on long enough to get into the bios. his was a little better but not much. support from asus sucked too. From reading forums, we aren't the only ones with similar problems.

Just installed this mobo but can not install the Realtek Audio Driver. Downloaded latest driver 2.19 and when I try to run setup I get the following error code 0xE0000227. Waiting for ASUS tech support to get back to me. Other than that so far so good.

This motherboard is ok. Nothing too much to say about it except that I wish it had 1 more USB header, supported ram that was a little bit faster, and I guess that 1 IDE header is the norm for newer motherboards now... It seems to work fine however. just make sure not to use all the updates that Windows Updates shows (such as memory controller) or it will cause BSOD. I found that out the hard way.

Got this Board as part of a kit. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4400017&SRCCODE=WEBLET03ORDER&cm_mmc=Email-_-WebletMain-_-WEBLET03ORDER-_-Deals Had nothing but problems with it. Video problems from the get-go, tried new bios/ram/psu/video card. Talked to asus support, they gave me an rma number, and said id get an email in 24 hours. havent gotten the email and its been 5 days. sent them an email, havent gotten a reply in 72+ hours...

Bought this board in a bundle with an Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 2.66Ghz and it works great. Install was easy, and only had to adjust one thing in the BIOS to make everything run smooth. OS and all other software has installed lighting fast compared to my old Gigabyte board and AMD2 processor. Definitely a keeper!

This MOBO installed without a hitch. It replaced a piece of MSI Junk that I had installed. This board has been in service for over a year with no problems. I keep the case well ventilated and the temps are well within operating range. SLI arrangement posed no problems I do wish however that when in SLI Mode the PCIe X16 wouldn't drop to X8. To get that though will have to upgrade to 790i MOBO. In ending buy this board it will more than do the job at a lower price. GOOD MOBO!!

Pros:A great well priced board who those who want to try SLI.

A a good board but for the price it should of included a little more features. SLI works great as i tested it on 2x8800GT's and it ran like a charm.

Im not sure what all the naysayers are whining about. But this is a GREAT board. I he=avent had ANY problems whatsoever. Everything was recognized on first boot. Plus you cant beat the SLI feature for the price. So many times you see bad reviews about a product, when the person writing it simply didnt know what they were doing, messed it up, and had to lash out at somebody. GET THIS BOARD!!!!! very easy to hook up

Overall good board. I would have liked 3 usb conectors on the board. North bridge heatsink is alittle unballanced over the cips.Springs on one side of heat sink were pulling more than other two. slightly tilting hsink.removed spring clips and adjusted tention. that worked.(replaced thermo paste) After reading the manual carefully. This board was easy to set up. I spent alot of time in the Bios learning it foward and backward. I find this realy helps (I never update my bios untill my rig is up and running stable with all updates installed first) For the price you can do quite abit with this board. Have fun Keep learning.

Unfortunately, this is the worst board that I have ever purchased, I usually stick with Gigabyte MOBO's, but thought I would try the P5n-d, it had fantastic reviews. Turns out this thing is buggy as hell, The drivers when installed, cause the computer to go into a crash loop, Windows never even has a chance to load. Back to Gigabyte for me.

I purchased this MOBO from TD, the service was fast when I had problems they were helpful to isolate a bad video card and suspected bad memory, but the memory problems were intermittent. They are now to the point where the computer will not post unless I gently wiggle the memory stick. It appears to be something related to the socket. I really hate the thought of having to replace this mobo after 4 or 5 months and I dread the factory rma process, but I have opened a ticket ans will see how their service is. I do like the features of this product, but am leary about the quality.

Mixed feelings about this board. For starters, it seems that the onboard SATA controller is defective because I keep getting errors with both the latest nForce drivers and the generic ones. I would much rather have another controller so I didn't have to use the nVidia one; ports are in a bad spot. The big NB heatsink is actually covering 2 chips which both run very hot. I have the chipset on this board watercooled and it's still a little toasty! Overall, the performance is great for the price and I was able to run my Q6600 at 3.2Ghz without a problem. For those who are having trouble overclocking your Q6600's, try lowering the multiplier to 8 and set the FSB to 1600. This board should handle the overclock and you will have a 1:1 ratio if you are running PC2-6400 RAM (800mhz). Good board but could be a lot better.

Great board. Don't listen to the naysayers. Just read the book and use the Asus connectors and you can't go wrong. Just installed this with a new Quad Core and everything fired up the first time with no bios update.

Well, I'm going on 7 hrs trouble shooting the install of this board. I have been getting the blue screen of death after running the ASUS CD that comes with it. I narrowed it down to the sound drivers, just then I get the blue screen when the audio drivers are not even installed. I have 5 other ASUS boards in systems and have never had this much of a problem. I would normally suggest ASUS, but I defenitly would not suggest this baord!!!

Bought this board about 2 weeks ago for a new build, finally got everything installed about a week ago, go to turn the power on.. everything turns on fine, green light on board, and video card. everything works fine except the fact I can't get my monitor to post so I can load windows... Talked to asus they said my BIOS on the motherboard were too old for the E7300 Core 2 Duo which it clearly says on the box it handles.. So ASUS told me to flash my bios.. I just sent it back.. I think it is outragous that they would make a socket 775 board that doesn't accept every socket 775 CPU thats made for it off the bat.. Now I'm out here sending my motherboard back or flashing BIOS ... keep this in mind when you buy this board guys...

Just finished building a new system around this board with a Core 2 Quad Q6600, two BFG GeForce 9600GT OC2 in SLI, 4GB ram, 2 500GB drives and 2 200GB drives both in RAID 0. Running Vista 32 Home Premium. Had some issues at first, but after replacing the nForce drivers downloaded from Asus with drivers downloaded from Nvidia, things got much better. The only problem with the board installation is that the CD audio socket is located underneath the second PCIx16 slot and the video card squishes the wire a bit, but it still goes in. There is a problem with the onboard audio - an annoying misquito whine comes through the speakers when the CPU is idling (check the forums for this issue). I resolved this by disconnecting the case speaker. Unless you're going to run a 64 bit OS, plan on 3GB of ram because that's all that's supported. Otherwise, this is a good board with lots of features and it runs stable - I'm OCing at 10% right now and will probably push it more later.
