Cons:Nvidia chipset3 Fan headers excluding cpu fanNot so great after the 750i ftw is just a couple bucks more

Pros:Good functionality (for nvidia chipset)Budget price when i bought itlots of connectorsSLI
Comment:
My board was able to oc a e8400 to 3.8 ghz stably without any issuesBUT: few fan headers (got kaze master now)-loud NB fan (not necessary but nv chipsets run really hot)ddr2 800mhz (not the fastest ram)-PCI-E slot spacing (dual slot cards:top card wont get as much air compared to 750i ftw)

Cons:-Big video card will cover your SATA port so it's hard to connect HDDs

Pros:-Very good functionalitys-Great speed and chipset-Great price
Comment:
I do recommend this board as it is fast and does what it says it is cool and great it is SLI ready but everyone says that it is hard to install SLI on it but on single it runs like a charm.

I'll be honest, I've never built a computer before, so I was nervous. But this board was so easy to setup. Booted up first try, overclocked no problem. The northbridge chipset runs a little hot, but it comes with an ''optional'' fan, which i strongly recommend you use. It has every feature you could want, and the price was great. I'm running it 2.40Ghz quadcore, 4gig ram, and Nvidia 8800 GT, 64bit OS, runs stable and cool. Buy it!

I got this board in a couple days as per shipping quote. No real problems except for the NIC driver in XP. I installed the one I had dl'ed to disc bam no problems. The ez connectors kick tail makes it super easy to plug case stuff in.. way to go asus. The IDE port for sucks donkey nuts if you have a big v-vard as it sits right over the connector /shrug. Squeezed it in anyways no issues. Stuff was packed good except for the CPU box was a bit damages but since it was packed well no problems. This board kicks butt however going SLI with two large card sis deff. an issues as far as space goes The 1st card alomst covers the 2nd x16 slot. No issues with bios the auto update feature kicks but. Supported my E8400 right out of the box. Specs: E8400 9800 GTX Black Edition NZXT Appolo Case NZXT 600 watt PS 2 gigs OZC sli 800 mhz ram 16mb 7200 rpm HDD sata LightScribe burner IDE 22'' Samsung T220 It's worth the money for what you get if you do it yourself. I bang out 125 FPS on COD4

this is a great board for its price. I easily oced my e4500 from 2.2 to 2.92 and still no problem with the heat and stability. manual was very helpful. this was actually my 1st PC build and i did it with no problem at all.. very highly recommended for midrange gaming PCs.

I have a BFG 630i and it is still kicking, also have me a 780i TRI Sli, from EVGA, well reviews was all good for it, but check out there site, problems all over the boards, so this is my next board, and I am very pleased and happy with it, Worked right out of the box, had to upgrade the bios before setting up, using the 45nm processor. Even give you the ability to use SLi at x16. One thing I do notice is that the USB's keeps teling me that its not connected to a 2.0 but it is, maybe its my monitor, IDK.

I purchased this board and after I got everything hooked up, it didn't boot or give me any beeps. I tried all the tests of different components to find it was a dead motherboard. When I uninstalled it, I was repackaging it and found a rectangular sticker mark on the back. I'm not sure why I got a refurbished or damaged board that was sent 'new' in the box. The new one is on order and I hope the second works.

I ordered this board for a computer build I was doing and after having trouble powering up, I learned the board was DOA. I sent it back, and figuring it was a good board because of the reviews, I ordered the same one again. Same problem again. I switched to an EVGA board and its working excellently. Two dead boards in a row does not make the product look very good to me, but have your own experiences.

I got the board and I couldn't enter the bios! Blank screen! Tried to boot to DOS and reimage the bios and it crashed, bricking the MB. Finally, the emergency onboard bios reflash tool allowed me to flash the latest bios revision in and now it's working perfect. Weird. SATA ports are in exactly the wrong place, gets in the way of video card. They say ''use L connectors''... you can only fit ONE in, it overlaps all the other ports. I dunno... it's working perfect now but I'm definitely not impressed. 1 for quality. 5 for everything else.

I bought this board last week. It is good and bad. Great features and it supports 16 x 16 PCI-e for SLI, not 8 x 8 like some cheaper boards. This is the main reason I bought it. The board itself is well built, comes with great accessories pack, runs very stable, easy to overclock once you update the bios from the Asus website. You just pick 5-20x overlock, no messing with voltages. However I ran into 2 issues that are a known problem with this board. #1 ..Sata Dvd drive caused my computer to freeze and gave me the blue screen of death. This board will NOT run a sata dvd drive, no big deal really just picked up an LG IDE dev drive for 30 bucks and it fixed the problem. #2 I could not get the realtek on-board sound to work for the life of me, and I have been building computers for 10 years. Messed with it all day until I gave up and just went and bought a new sound card. Still a great board despite these two minor issues considering all the features and future upgrades it supports.

PUrchased this card from TD on 25 May, received it less than a week later, as expected. I put this board in my Antec P180B Case, which was very tight, and Asus included a padded connector plate which was a good thing as the board fit very tight for hole alignment. Overall, the board is of high quality. The motherboard manual is first rate, but they could do better with regards to the cpu installation. Driver installation was not that smooth, but I got it going. Love the bios setup. Look, if you are looking for a relatively inexpensive mb, but want quality, this is the board. I also run an Intel E7200 Core 2 Duo, 2 g of Ultra DDr2...all bought at TD.

this board is good when using anything other then the e8400 if using the e8400 then it sucks for o/c runs hot for the chipset and gives a false reading of over 15' for cpu, great board though. not for overclocker when using the e8400. on a side note. i could not get my 1150 reapers over 1000mhz, i think it's m/b limmited. but i did manage 700mhz 3.3.3.8 2t timing so i can't complain

Hi I always had ASUS boards and never had problems until I got this one. The build quality is very good as expected from ASUS the board works ok out of the box. I'm giving it low Performance score 2/5 as this motherboard is bad for overclocking. It would run very unstable freeze a lot, or not boot even with the basic 15% or 20% o/c. After manually changing the FSB the board froze and wont boot at all. Also another ''-'' it runs very hot with my E8400 at 48-50C with room temp of 23-25C. With good cooling.

Great board. Really good price for the capabilities... I wish it took a little bit faster Ram, but for the price, that's a minor gripe. CPU heatsink/fan a little difficult to set, but once it was, the mb worked super well with a Core 2 Duo E8400. Fast shipping, too.
