Excellent
Comment:
One issue, the supporting CD would not work with windows 7 64bit The board support hot swaping of the SATA hardrives, means that a sata harddrive for data in a removable tray can be powered on or off with no trouble and acts like USB Another issue, computer shtting completely down with intensive cpu usage. The problems looks like an underpowered power supply (400 watts) am getting a 750 watts model to see if the problem will be resolved. Easy to overclock. Am overclocking 15% with no trouble increasing an intel quad from 263 g to 3.08 gig with no problem.

ok deal
Comment:
The board that I received works and works good. No real big headaches. Only one minor problem and that was with a wireless card and that wasn't the boards fault(bad antenna). So yeah does what it is supposed to do.

The Experience of the Asus P5N-D
Comment:
I must say that I am not a computer genius. This is the first computer I have built. The Asus P5N-D motherboard. I found that this is an easy install board pretty much you have to not understand where the components go to not get it to work. But for a guy who is in his 50s and built his own computer for the first time in his life. well I am pretty pleased with the installation ease of use and accessibility on the board. With a socket silent 775d cpu fan. Temps for all this work runs around 80 to 100 degrees constant. And man is this fast.I cant say anything but positive about my ASUS experience.

Cheap SLI motherboard
Comment:
Not sure why everyone is saying that this is a bad overclocker. Was able to gain more than a 40 percent overclock with the E8400 EASILY (3 to 4.2). DDR timings are at 4-4-4-12 at 800 mhz. Though the only problem with this is that the supported memory speed is quite slow. Do not buy this if you already have as even 1mhz over 800 is unstable. PS. This motherboard can unlink the ddr frequency and FSB. Also allows one to set the maximum value for the frequency just for those who are wondering.

GARBAGE
Comment:
One word GARBAGE. Customer service is non-existent. Reps are rude and worthless. I will not buy another Asus product again. I am unable to use a Creative Labs audio card. It either does not recognize it, or will not have any sounds. The on board audio is GARBAGE. Asus is GARBAGE!

ASUS P5N-D ATX Intel Motherboard
Comment:
I really don't have any complaints on this motherboard. I don't know much about them my computer guy said this was what I needed and I bought it so he could install it. I have ready on here about the bios and the graphics and I do know there were problems with this as well however the system needs more work and so I don't have a real review yet.

Great Board
Comment:
Great board. I would recommend updating the BIOS right away so you dont have any video issues. Updating the BIOS was sinple using the ASUS tools and the board is running great.

Excellent MB for SLI
Comment:
This MB is very dependable and reliable. At the same time it makes the CPU run very fast while at the same time saving power. ASUS has included a program to make overclocking simple, automatic and reliable. Runs slower when idle but that helps the chipset cool down, then it can even overclock when more power is needed. I think the temps are switch between cpu and system, because cpu feels cool and small chipset gets very hot. Typical with nVidia chipsets but it runs good and is very reliable.

Get This MoBo
Comment:
This Motherboard is very good.. rock stable.. I had a problem with a older NForce 4 board that gave out totally.. very rare for ASUS. so I got this one for a replacement, been over 1 year with no problems. then again I got a Asus Mobo running my Pent 1Ghz for just about over 10 years and it still runs. Now I am going to go from a Pent D 960 to a Core 2 Duo E8600 with this same system to get rid of that bottle neck that has been a huge troublemaker now getting into the newer better games.. when I go from Dual to Quad core is the day I start to use Windows 7 everyday. Totally Skipped over Vista and it's tons of issues.

Not Worth It
Comment:
I would not recommend buying this mobo. I have had it for little more that 6 months and problems are never ending. Set-up was fine no problems there, but the audio drivers are terrible. If your buying this board invest in a sound card. Overclocking features suck and the board is very unstable when overclocking. Ive also had problems with my video card. I think the mobo has something to do with it because the computer just turns off when running games/benchmarks. its also pretty hot so you have to keep good airflow if you want to overclock anything. Investing in a core i7 setup soon. This was a waste of money.

ASUS rocks!!
Comment:
I purchased this board to utilize excess parts from building a couple of other systems. Main item was the CPU(D830). Just assembled unit and powered up. Everything seems to be OK. It's the first ASUS board I have used. It's a little different setting up, but fairly straight forward. Instruction book is excellent! No problems so far!!

Solid Board
Comment:
I've had this mobo for over 7 months now running a Q9450 with 8gb Corsair Ram and 2 9800GTX+ GPU's and can say it's very stable OC at up to 20% too. If anyone gave a bad review, they don't know what their doing. BIOS update is current onlin at ASUS as of June of this year, do this fist. If you had an issue with posting, switch power of at the power supply or remove cord for 10 minutes, it resets itself or use defalt or save BIOS settings. This MOBO needs to be cooled and ASUS gives you many onboard fan outputs too. I have the CPU fluid cooled with 2 120mm fans in the front to start with. OC sure but cool the damn thing. SLI works great and this board has 2 true X16 slots 2.0. I'm building a 2nd PC usint the Striker II Formula board, just want the newer 780i chipset. The wife will use this 750i. Thanks ASUS for keeping the BIOS updates current.

pretty good..
Comment:
Pretty good motherboard, it's a bit bigger than i thought when i recieved it. Be careful with the PCI-E slot.. the handle that holds your video card straight can snap off if u press it too hard.. it did mine but i managed to seat my card, superglue the small handle lol.. overall has overclocking abilities too auto ai tweaking sure is cool u dont have to do anything manually unless you want. I recommend this motherboard..I plan to upgrade to Quad Core..one day i'll get an very expensive motherboard but for now this is a great deal and you can go Sli! :D

This is a great motherboard. I'm used to cheep motherboards. This is much easier to work with. One surprise to me, was it doesn't have any onboard video. I wanted a good video card any way for this build.

MIkss handled or what
Comment:
I am waiting on the third mother board. This board came in the first time with a diode laying loose in the bag, exchanged it and installed No 2. After about 15 min of operation has a portion of the mb (one lead) burnt out. Now I am waiting on a third. I have confidance it will be good once i get it going. I can say Tiger Direct has done a great job of replacing or exchanging items and I am not detured from ordering any thing from them.

ASUS P5N-D ATX Intel Motherboard
Comment:
I bought this board as part of a package deal with the Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 2.66Ghz Socket 775 CPU (CP2-DUO-Q6700) and after some intial problems, i got it to work and haven't had any problems since. The USBs work, haven't crashed or froze even with BIOS update. Only negative so far seems to be it uses a little extra electricity, but, i think it's tolerable. I did however use an alternate heat sink and the CPU runs at 32c even under load.

ASUS P5N-D ATX Intel Motherboard
Comment:
I wish I would've returned this board sooner. I got it as part as a barebones kit and it has yet to work properly. The usb ports do not work for some reason. I've tried updating bios adding a bigger power supply updating drivers everything. It just won't work. Buyer beware on this board.

ASUS P5N-D ATX Intel Motherboard
Cons:Poor Quad-core overclocker.

Pros:Runs SLI amazingly, with great features, and has 2x PCIe 2.0 x16 slots (fastest you can get).
Comment:
This is a great board if you are into SLI, and need it to run well, because this thing does it well. Some things to note however, are that the board is a very poor overlocker, and if you run dual slot video cards in SLI, the top one might not get any air cause it would be touching the second card.Running my Q9550 on this board, trying to get a decent overclock has been a nightmare. I have struggled at getting 3.4GHz (Which it should do at stock), using more volts than should be required. I cannot go any higher, otherwise it will be unstable. I can get to 3.6Ghz, but every few days, it will become unstable for some reason. If you need SLI, and you need it cheap, get this board, but otherwise stay away.
