CORSAIR CAFA50 120mm CPU Cooler
Cons:-Fan speed is not controllable from BIOS-Very Large-Can not be rotated on an AMD Board

Pros:-Semi Quiet - better than stock, but louder than my old HSink-Keeps processor cool - better than stock
Comment:
I bought this cooler for my new build, but it was too large to fit in the case (AzzA Helios), so I swapped it with my Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 from my old computer. The corsair is louder than my trusty freezer, and the fan cannot be controlled using ASUS Q-Fan settings. It also can only be mounted so the fan is pointing towards the floor or away from the floor in an AMD platform, which is not optimal for airflow (i.e. from front to back)- but it works, and the difference would be neglidgeble. The price was good ($20), but I believe there would be better options for a few more dollars.

CORSAIR CAFA50 120mm CPU Cooler
Comment:
No more stupid pushpins! I had to upgrade my intel LGA775 socket stock fan simply because I couldn’t get all the pushpins to secure. Nicely this fan does away with such design flaws. The cooler makes use of a back and front plate that anchor the huge heatsink. Also the cost is acceptable, excellent corsair top quality, and includes thermal compound. The instruction booklet is lacking in detail. This isn’t rocket science, but I Extremely recommend you pay close attention to your assembly of the mounting plates. Installation can also be time consuming if you have a case like mine. I had to absolutely gut my PC to set the backplate on my motherboard’s reverse side. Also the heat sink is very massive – don’t underestimate its size: measure before you obtain to ensure your case will hold it. I have the Antec 902 so I had just sufficient room. The Corsair A50 is infinitely much better than my stock fan/heatsink! I have my Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 OC'ed to three.2Ghz and my CPU doesn't get beyond 50 C. That's remarkable. I'm curious to see just how far I can now push my CPU. Also, I had just enough space installing in Antec 902 case.

CORSAIR CAFA50 120mm CPU Cooler
Cons:Stock fan a bit loud

Pros:Keep CPU cool
Comment:
Bought it on sale for $19.99 and couldn't possibly ask for more. Keep my slightly over-clocked i5-750 at 32C on idle and 54C during 4 hours of OCCT CPU stress test (my room's temp was 28C).A slight drawback was that the stock fan was a little loud and didn't have PWM, meaning you couldn't adjust the fan speed to your liking. Also, the manual could use better and more detailed pictures to illustrate the installation steps. But then, we could always resort to the Internet.

CORSAIR CAFA50 120mm CPU Cooler
Cons:None

Pros:Big fan, cools well
Comment:
Got this dirt cheap on a weekly sale. Does quite a good job cooling my chip. I think I still prefer my Coolermaster 212 cooling wise and price wise. Overall a god heat sink though.

CORSAIR CAFA50 120mm CPU Cooler
Cons:Very big. Will definitely not fit with all motherboards out there or you'll have to sacrifice 2 ram slots.

Pros:Big fan, keeps cpu really cold
Comment:
Big fan, quality product but I own a patriot sector 5 8gb ddr3 kit and a gigabyte 990xa-ud3 and this is too big, resulting in blocking one of the ram slots.

CORSAIR CAFA50 120mm CPU Cooler
Cons:Can't add a second fan.A bit noisy.

Pros:Good value for money when on sale.Keeps cpu temps down.Easy to install.
Comment:
This is a good cooler for the price if you can get it on sale, but probably not worth $60. Fits in a Fractal R3 case easily. If you are wondering about the four washers included with the cooler, they are intended to go between the back of the motherboard and the back mounting plate if you need the clearance for it to fit flush. If not, you don't need to install the washers.

Cons:Bulky

Pros:CorsairPriceCool!
Comment:
Purchased this for a Phenom II X4 965. For $20 you really can't beat it. Lowered my core temperature 10C at idle. And of course, it's corsair. Only downside is that it's a bit bulky so you should make sure that your case fits a cooler of this size.

Cons:A wee bit big.

Pros:Very quite, keeps my CPU exceptionally cool. Only 20 on sale!
Comment:
Just bought this CPU fan and it seems to be MUCH better than the default that came with my 1100T AMD processor, and it is JUST able to fit in my case (Zalman Z9) leaving about a cm gap. On sale for 20$ there is NO questioning that this is definitely worth it.

CORSAIR CAFA50 120mm CPU Cooler
Cons:Not a fan of the AMD mounting mechanism.

Pros:Inexpensive. Huge heatsink
Comment:
Great large size heatsink. The AMD mounting mechanism only allows you to mount this horizontally in the case so the fan can only blow up or down rather than out the exhaust.Careful about mounting height as this is a full sized cooler. Mke sure your case can fit it.

CORSAIR CAFA50 120mm CPU Cooler
Cons:Other than the fan not being a PWM....none! Which is not a big deal for me anyways.

Pros:A huge improvement over stock cooler. I have it on an i-2500K and i am pleased with it's performance. Stock idle temp 49-51, with the A50-idles at 31. Prime95 (64bit) temps go average from 45-49c. I have it mounted on the Asus P8P67 LE and installation was a breeze.
Comment:
Fits just fine in my Cooler Master Gladiator 600 case with about an inch to spare. I knew it would cover the first ram slot because of it's size. As far as noise level goes, it does run rather quiet so not sure why some say it is noisy. Overall i am quiet pleased with the cooler and at $19.99 (got it on sale) it's definitely money well spent!

Cons:-if you have a small case may need a new one(or remove side panel fan)-pas fait pour les petits boitiers,j'ai du enlever la fan du coté pour fermer le paneau du côté.

Pros:-does it job well-good loocking-garde le cpu a une temperatu décente-beau cooler
Comment:
got this to remplace my very old broken Zalman(broke the fan)A bit disapointed it only keep the temp 2 degree lower than my old broken Zalman. I was expecting a lot more. But for 19.99$ I can't complain, I guess.Every body say keep my i5 or i7 under 50 degree but to tell the truth I have a E6300 and with the Corsair A50 it's at 50 degree near full load.I was expecting lot more from this coolerJ'ai acheté le A50 pour remplacer mon vieux Zalman brisé(j'ai pété la fan)Je suis un peu décu, ca garde mon cpu seulement 2 degré plus froid que mon vieux Zalman brisé.

CORSAIR CAFA50 120mm CPU Cooler
Cons:Wouldn't fit in my stock case. Wish I would have got the A70 but it was not on sale. Other than that NO CONS at all.

Pros:All i can say is WOW 20 degrees colder from my stock heat sink it went from an idle temp of 40 to around 20 that's lower than my room temperature. Running Prime95 my max temp got up to 45 50 degrees which is amazing. I combined this with arctic silver 5 added a couple 120s to my case and my whole pc is frozen. I got this on sale for 19.99!!!EXCLAMATIONS MARKS
Comment:
When i first received this cooler I knew i was going to need a bigger case which I had already ordered anyway haha. It stands tall in the case but works beautifully. The manual is a bit vague and I suggest watching LinusTechTips on YouTube for a great installation guide.

CORSAIR CAFA50 120mm CPU Cooler
Cons:Crappy instructionsFeels kinda cheap

Pros:Many times better then stock coolerCheap
Comment:
i5 750 was going over 80 degrees before, now it tops out at 45-50. This was also a lot easier to install then several other custom coolers I have dealt with, although it would have been even easier if the instructions didnt skip a few steps. Has a bit of a flimsy feel to it, but the price is right at $20 and it gets the job done.

CORSAIR CAFA50 120mm CPU Cooler
Cons:-Bad Manual

Pros:-Quiet (with resistor at 1600RPM)-Cools well-Good value at sale price
Comment:
At the sale price of 20 bucks it's a great buy. It keeps my i7-2600k at 25C idle on stock speeds. Actually works better than my h50 water cooling heatsink =_=. Got that one for 50... The only bad part is the manual, it totally sucks... A few pointers:- Fan goes on the side with the arc- Screws on the attachment go from the bottom- the 1156 setting is just in the middle, very slight off from the 778 setting. - use 1156 settings for 1155 socket, they are the same size- Install back plate before putting motherboard in the case (even though I had that part on the case it wasn't big enough).

Comment:
this was a great cooler and dropped my temps dramatically. i was debating between this and the hyper 212+ . I feel the hyper would have been fantastic as nicely but i am pleased i bought this 1 instead for the simpler install and a small far better performance according to comparisons. i have an azza solano solano 1000 case(side fan moved to the outside). the case has five fans so its got good airflowi5 750 stock settingsavg temps taken using hwmonitor, realtemp, and coretempambient temperature is 23Cstock cooler:idle-------> 29Cgaming--> 58Cprime95-> 85C+ i stopped it at that pointa50 @ 1600񳏀rpm:idle ------> 24CቴCgaming--> 35CቿCprime95-> 46C኉COverall the install was very straightforward. took me about 10 minutes not which includes motherboard removal and i function slow and meticulous. some key things to bear in mind is to maintain the plastic piece on the backplate and put the 4 washers on best of the plastic if your utilizing intel so you dont short out that motherboard supposedly this cooler is raised 43mm but my gskill ripjaws ram is only 41mm high and i have the fan as high up on the heatsink as probable and it still sits about 1mm lower than my ram(i believe you could make it fit if you just forced the fan on). this isnt a challenge for me mainly because i only use 2 sticks in slots 2ƀ but its worth mentioning. Some individuals have said this fits over their ripjaws ram with a little clearance so i would say 42mm high ram is the max. this could be due to the socket for my cpu sitting a little lower than a typical motherboard. thats just a random guessthe fan makes a little too considerably noise for me at 2000rpm but i have my case sitting proper next to me on the floor and the open fan side is facing me. i employed the resistor cable and at 1600rpm temperatures didnt raise seriously and it makes a light hum at the identical level as all my case fans. i believe if you have a closed case or dont have the comp correct next to you, running it at 2000rpm will be no problem i believe you can get temps even lower than that down to maybe 43C in prime if u use some leading of the line thermal paste and u in fact take time applying paste. I used corsairs paste which basically appears great and the two line strategy on the silver strips between the heatpipes with out filling in the crevices due to the fact the base was rather smooth and i was lazy and it appears to be working wonderfully anyways.

CORSAIR CAFA50 120mm CPU Cooler
Cons: No PWM fan.

Pros: Performs well. Install is easy if you do it during the initial build.
Comment:
For $15 this cooler is a no-brainer. It keeps my i5-2500K at 4.2GHz below 60C at all times even under 100% load for hours on end, and is virtually silent with a Scythe PWM fan in place of the stock unit. It blows vertically in my Antec 300 case which may help as it is directed at the 140MM exhaust fan outlet where convection helps remove the air from the case.I have another on on my Phenom II X4 955 BE at the stock 3.2 GHz. It is significantly noisier with the stock fan, even with the resistor in place. It works well and as it isn't in a low noise environment it is a non issue.Highly recommended!

Comment:
Using the A50 to cool an i5 760. With stock CPU settings I saw a drop  of 30C in the load temperature compared to the stock Intel heatsink. As others mentioned, this is a large unit, so make sure the dimensions are compatible with your case. I don't intend on overclocking, but the stock Intel heatsink was so bad that I needed to replace it - and the A50 happened to be on sale. Great value!

Cons: - non thus far

Pros: - only $14.99 back in early March- good quality- amd/intel compatibility- includes thermal paste
Comment:
This heat sink has worked great for me so far. I picked up 2 because the price point was so low. Only foreseeable problem for some would be it's size. I recommend checking the dimensions first before spending your dough. Make sure that it'll not only fit in the case itself, but, fits properly around the dimm slots and capacitors in the surrounding area.Sweet buy, especially because of the price.

Cons: LOUDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD well in my opinion at least. Had to use the jumper cable to make it slower and quieter.

Pros: Does the job. Universal backplate. Comes with jumper to adjust speeds.
Comment:
Not going to lie. Overall, I'm disappointed in the performance vs noise of this cooler. It does its job if you're okay with the amount of noise it produces. The universal backplate fit the ASUS P8P67 fine.
