Corsair Obsidian Series 800D CC800DW Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Cons:This case is huge!...It's actually not that bad.

Pros:Cabling, design, hot-swap
Comment:
Definitely one of the best cases I have ever owned.Cabling is definitely the best feature of this case. It was so easy. The finish is beautiful. While the reviews for the case have not been too good for air cooling, definitely works awesome with liquid cooling. I have a corsair H70 installed and it usually holds at 35c.

Best case ever..period ! tons of roomwonderful air flow quite clean installings , what else could you ask for front panel on the case could be a tad bit greater good quality and i personally think the metals utilized could be a bit stronger. I transfered my parts from a Silverstone TJ10 and i felt it was a lot more "solid". dont let what i stated in the cons sections steer you away from this case. i do feel it was enough to take an egg away however this is the ideal case i have ever had the pleasure of owning. im selling the Silverstone case if they tells you anything. :D get this, get it now !

Corsair Obsidian Series 800D CC800DW Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Cons:BIG and HEAVY (16kgs)Some sort of bracket for a fan to push air over video cards would make a huge difference to air cooled sli systems

Pros:Cable management heavenEverything oozes qualityAesthetically gorgeousQuiet (at least with stock cooling)So much room for expansion
Comment:
Everyone should have one of these. I really couldn't be any happier with this case, it has every feature I was looking for. To be honest, I'm not sure why people are complaining about the hot swap bay being noisy, admittedly I have only 1 hard drive installed in one of these slots, but that drive was noisy as hell in my last case, and now it is barely audible, I have no vibration sounds or anything. The cable management is optimal, I had no trouble getting my unruly psu cables too look relatively neat and professional. It's a big case (huge in fact) and it weighs a ton, but you'll really appreciate all that extra space when you have to work on your machine

Cons:Noise from Hot-Swap BayCheap Hinges on Drive Bay and USB Port Doors

Pros:Lots of RoomHot-Swappable Drive BaysExcellent Cable Management
Comment:
This is a beast of a case with some excellent features and plenty of room to work with. The 800D makes cable management simple and the hot-swap hard drive bay is convenient for people who change out drives often. My biggest complaint with the case is the vibrations coming from the hard drive bay. It makes the case seem rather loud which is too bad given all of the other outstanding qualities the 800D has to offer.

I got this case for 250$ and it's worth every penny. My intention when buying this case was to build my next water cooled PC in it. It has tons of room for radiator, a 360 rad fits in the top with room to spare.Over all this is an outstanding product and it blows my Cosmos S out of the water.

Corsair Obsidian Series 800D CC800DW Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Cons:Do not use this case for air cooling.Hot swap connection panel requires angled sata/sata power connectors.

Pros:Hot swap feature.Case feels very very durable and well constructed.Quick locking mechanism for 5.25" bay drives is nifty.Tonnes of room to work with inside.
Comment:
This is the first EATX case I've owned and I will say that it converted me. In the past I used ATX cases but the extra room inside makes working inside the case painless. The case has some nice features... The hot swap feature would make installing and removing drives wayyy easier than trying to shimmy drives around PCI-e power cables and fan cables as was the case with other cases I've had.Case feels very very durable and well constructed.Quick locking mechanism for 5.25" bay drives is nifty.Tonnes of room to work with inside. This is a great case if you prefer non conventional cooling however, since I am air cooling, I only found this case satisfactory for a couple of major reasons...The case is designed so that air is exhausted out the top and back of the case and is drawn in through a dust filtered intake at the very bottom of the case. This design has some problems though...Firstly, there are 3x120mm fan mounting points on the top which I populated with exhaust fans - there is also an additional 120mm exaust fan at the upper rear. Together, these 4 fans create  a massive low pressure zone around the motherboard. Since the optional exhaust fans I installed at the top are stronger than the rear exhaust fan, it is actually acting as an air intake at the moment and the rear fan doesnt have the power to rotate against the incoming air : With stock settings my CPU is at 50-60 degrees Celsius. This is likely because air is being sucked into the case through the rear exhaust fan right towards the cpu fan exhaust which means that there likely isnt a whole lot of movement of air through the cpu heatsink.I think the manufacturers realized this which is why there is a massive vent above the rear exhaust fan - which isnt dust filtered unfortunately... perhaps they thought that we would think it was an exhaust vent but will certainly act as an unfiltered intake.Another problem with such a massive low pressure zone inside the case is that the power supply sits down near the filtered air intake at the bottom of the case - so it too will need to compete to be able to exaust anything out the lower rear of the case... worrysomeThrottling the affore mentioned fans would solve some of these problems but that would limit the overall air flow... In summary it would have been nice if all this air being moved would be moved through the cpu heat sink and out of the case instead of stiffling the cpu cooling capability of the case. The other issue I had with this case seems minor, but the hot swap panel requires you to use angled sata/sata power connections, which for most people isnt a big deal but since I have a raid controller card which uses very special sata cables (It supports 12 drives using 3 jacks by way of 3 mini sas cables that each have 4 sata connections) these cables are not angled sata connections, so they do not fit in the enclosure for the hot swap panel. I could just remove the enclosure, however its there to block an opening into a part of the case that would otherwise allow dust inside etc...Overall this is a good case and would be super amazing awesome for anyone water cooling - it has nice rubber openings for hoses and none of the airflow issues would matter...So far, I would have to say that Antec has some of the best designed cases...

Corsair Obsidian Series 800D CC800DW Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Cons:-Lacks air intake, would like to see options for mounting a fan in the front 5.25" bays-Hard drives in the hot swap bay make a low pitched humming noise when they're spinning

Pros:-Big, very big-Side panel-Hot swap bays-Can support up to 7 fans (3x140mm + 4x120mm)-Supports XL-ATX
Comment:
Pretty good buy. I was disappointed with the hot swap cage noise but it's still the best case I've bought so far. I'll keep it for a few years for sure.

Comment:
Overall an awesome case. Nicest I've ever owned, but also most expensive. It's built really well. Nice sturdy metal where it counts. some of the internal plastic bits & covers seemed cheap considering the price, but not a big deal. Still love this case. Cable routing is awesome. Looks so clean. More room than I'll ever use. Mine came with a 12v extension cable which I had to use. Woulda been nice to get a better deal, got it for $279, but I don't regret it.

Comment:
This is a monster of a case. It can fit everything I throw at it with space to spare. USB 3.0 and Sata 6gb replacement modules are available from Corsair (with a $40 shipping charge), but hopefully NCIX will get them in stock soon.My case's side window came with a crack in the glass under the top right screw, though it can't be seen from the outside.

Corsair Obsidian Series 800D CC800DW Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Cons:- Airflow isn't quite the best- Clips that secure the front bays are flimsy plastic

Pros:- Strong, sturdy, massive frame- Plenty of space for any part (especially watercooling)- Professional and clean looking matte black finish- Cable management is optimized
Comment:
I decided to hold back on this review as I recieved my 800d with a small flaw - one of the hot swap drive's latches were snapped in shipping. Mainly a cosmetic defect - and both NCIX and Corsair offered to fix the problem free of charge. After having the front hard drive bay fixed, I gave some time to really appreciate this chassis. There is plenty of space for EATX boards, and longer form factors of power supplies are easily fitted as well. I really do love the matte black finish throughout the case, and the brushed aluminum is nice - if only optical drives and fan controllers would have a finish to match.I also really like the quick release buttons instead of your standard thumbscrew. This case has several nice touches that take it that extra mile. The only complaints I have about this sturdy behemoth of a case is the top/roof of the chassis. Corsair has indented space for 3 fans (or a triple radiator)to be mounted on the top. The 800d easily has space enough for 4 fans or a quad radiator, at the sacrifice of expansion bay. I really wish Corsair left the indent for quads, as opposed to this silly ribbed design they put where the last fan should be. It's minor - I know - but it would have saved me time from having to mod and cut out the fan myself. All in all though - this case is a solid buy. Corsair is one of the few brands I can honestly say I am a bit of a fanboy, and for good reason: they make great things.

Corsair Obsidian Series 800D CC800DW Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Cons:Heavy. Very heavy... This does speak to its fantastic build quality as well, but it is not a case you would want to move around much.

Pros:Other than being one of the sexiest looking cases on the market, this case is large enough to accommodate any setup imaginable. Great ventilation. My i7-970 idles around 22 degrees and never exceeds 40 even under extreme loads and it is air cooled. Hot swappable drive bays are nice.
Comment:
This is definitely the best case I have ever owned and for my primary system I can not see ever wanting a different case. If you're the type of person who attends a lot of LAN parties or something then this case is not for you but otherwise this case is for everybody! I love the look of it, the build quality is fantastic, it was very easy to build my system inside of this case and there is room for anything you would ever want to put in it. It is great to have rear access panel to be able to change heatsinks without removing the motherboard, and there is more than enough room for ideal cable management. Keep it up Corsair!

Cons:Heavy, huge, all steel construction, expensive, tool-less 5.25 bay mechanisms leave something to be desired.

Pros:Roomy, clean design, excellent cable management, beautiful.
Comment:
I bought this case for it's combination of appearance and functionality. Believe me when I say pictures do little justice to the sheer size and weight of this case when you get it out of the box. I was taken aback by the dimensions of this case when I unpacked it.Technically it is pretty near perfect. Cable management is fantastic, the matte black finish all over actually has a very interesting effect when it's all together. If you are looking to water cool, this may be the case for you. However if you are not, or not making use of all the expansion bays give it serious thought and wait for the 650D if all you are interested in is the cable management and looks.I bought this case with the intention of adding full on water cooling which I ended up not doing. Ultimately I had an accident when putting the case back on my desk and dropped it on it's face totally destroying it. When a case of this size and weight gets dropped it's like an automobile crash. I elected not to replace it with another 800D simply because it's just too heavy, and too huge unless you intend to make use of it as a water cooling rig. Which is ultimately what it is designed for.Downsides I would cite other than the size are the SATA 2 only hotswap bays and backplane, and I found the retention mechanisms on the 5.25 bays to be problematic. They work fine for optical drives but mounting things like fan controllers proved to be a pain as they don't hold securely enough for shorter things that catch only one set of holes, and they obscure the use of screws. The retention mechanisms on the newer 600T are far better in design. Lastly the cover door on the usb and front panel audio tends to bind against the optical drive below it, but that could have been the fault of the optical drives design.

Bought this for a server I had to build. I figured it would be big, but its absolutely HUGE! Looks extremely clean and classy. Cable management is quite good and the 4x hotswap bays in the front are great as well. Its quite hard to move as it does not have a handle and it weighs a ton even when empty so this is not something you'll be moving very often at all. Also, because of its size, cable management isn't always easy as some of the power cables barely made it to the top.

Great case, but wait for it to go on sale. Hot swap bays limited to SATA-2, and front USB headers are USB 2.0. The hot swap bays need to have the hard drives screwed into them to be able to pull them back out.

I bought this case a few weeks ago. It is a solid case but even pair with a Corsair power supply, the cables for the motherboard's power are just barely long enough to reach. The cable management is top notch, as long as your cables are long enough. I would recommend purchasing this case only if you have many drives to mount, otherwise it is not worth the asking price.

Fantastic build quality. Layout is very unique and well thought out. Probably the best thermal solution I've ever seen. Phenomenal cable management thanks to the openings in the MB tray. Corsair really out did themselves here. The quality is fantastic, it looks great and the thermal solution is extremely effective and the drive bays are very practical. Only complaint is how needlessly convoluted removing the front cover is and that each 5.25" is held in place by screws. Other than that, money well spent.
