I used the Obsidian 800D for my first build. The cable management makes me(a newb) look pro. If you are not going to go all out cooling do yourself a favor and replace the fans. Especially the bottom intake fan. Corsair does everything right, but fans are not their area of expertise. Did I mention its a beautiful? |

Don't bother with this case or any full size ATX case unless you actually need it. I do believe Corsair is planning on releasing a midATX case in the future and I'm looking forward to it. |

Magnificent case. Best amount of roominess and size I have used. Switched from a HAF 932 to this case. Amazing looks and well built case. The best case I have used yet.Take note this case has poor airflow. My GTX 480 SLI setup has gone up 10C switching into this case. This case is best for watercooling. There is EMI interference with using the front IO headphone jack. My favorite case as yet, but not flawless. |

Cons:- HEAVY when fully loaded, but this isn't your typical LAN case so I can't really say its a weakness.- The right side panel bends out a bit on mine due to the cables running back there.
Pros:- Professional looking case.- EXCELLENT to work with, the layout is perfect.- Cable management is easy with this case, I had no issues routing any wires.- Painted black inside.- Every little thing is thought out well, from the anti-vibration fan holders to the screws being black and matching the case. I replaced a Cooler Master HAF 932 with this and I will never look back. If you are buying this case you WILL need a power supply with long motherboard power wires, I use the Corsair TX750 and its cables are just long enough. I use Noctua fans in the top of the case and I replaced the rear fan with a 140 mm Noctua as well for better airflow, I like how this case looks with Noctuas actually! |

Though incredibly expensive, this case is worth every penny. Corsair did not spare any details in the construction of this case. The window is large enough to see every part aside from the drives(which aren't that flashy anyways). Though the hot swap hard drives are not that useful as you have to screw them into the trays anyways. In any case, if you have the money, this case gives you the ultimate building experience with great looks at the same time. |

All I can say is wow. Ever since I bought this, I've been amazed at the quality and the engineering that has produced such an incredible case. I was using an Antec 1200 before and hated it. This case is on a completely different level of design. Corsair has really hit the jackpot with this case. I wouldn't think of buying a different case unless they can somehow improve it.The cable management is amazing. All the cables hide in the back, and it has multiple areas that cables can sneak through to connect to your motherboard. Hotswap bay is insane. I've never seen anything like this on a case. You simply open the door, pop out the drive bay, add your drive and snap it back in. Easy and breezy.Powersupply cables can hide very well at the botton front area. Multiple doors will close the areas to look like no cables are sitting around.Multiple fans can be installed in this case. It has 3 slots for 120MM fans at the top, 1 at the bottom to cool the hard drives in the non hot swap area. Case comes with 3 140MM fans, one for hot swap drive area, one for intake and one outtake. Optical drives can easily be installed. Simply pop out the front panel and place the drive there and snap the lock. No screws needed here!If you want to buy a case, get this one. It will be the best investment you can make. You will always upgrade, but this case will remain with you and doesn't need upgrading. |

I got this case to replace my old storm sniper. This thing has endless cable management options and was super easy to set up. The hot-swap bays are a huge asset if you want to set up a RAID. However the bays require that you mount the drives with screws making it somewhat finicky to replace a drive on the fly. The two hidden HDD bays behind the bezel on the other hand are tooless which seem kinda backwards to me, but oh well. This case is not made of aluminium but steel making it some what heavy this is a bit of a disappointment given the price. All in all thou this is an amazing case that is super easy to work with, and I would definitely buy it again. |
