Corsair Obsidian Series 800D CC800DW Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Cons:Some people say runs a little hot

Pros:Quality Build. Cable management, Hot Swap Bays
Comment:
Last build I used this case, it is a dream to work in. Absolutely the best cable management system I have ever seen, even with non-modular PSU. I used three Yates loons on top exhausting in conjunction with the H50 sucking air in, and my temps on a moderate OC are excellent 29-32 idle, 57 -59 under stress. One small grip, the holes on the bottom of the hot swap bay adapters are too small for the supplied screws that come with the case, for adding ssd drive.Even with a large 5850 Toxic GPU, there is still enough room to keep a six pack in there..kidding...Final word, I got it on sale, and it is the best case i have worked on, and one of the best looking cases, but it is LARGE. Highly recommended!

Cons:-price

Pros:-Great to Work in-VERY easy to do a very clean build-Lots of Room
Comment:
This has been one of the nicest cases I've worked in. So easy to make a very clean build, lots of room, easy as heck to hide wires. Only real weakness is the price, which is a little on the high side, but I would still buy it again.

Cons:Plastic parts break way too easyfront 140mm hdd fan is hard to seat peoperlylatches feel cheep and hard to click in when cables are in (shrink wraped and Tied)HEAVY Wish it had wheels

Pros:ALL METAL VERYLITTLE PLASTICLOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS OF ROOM BEST Case I have used yet for watercooling
Comment:
All in all a good case and a great buy yes i would recomend this product.HAve a full atx motherboard and 2 5970s xfire and STILL LOTS OF ROOM for my sr200 res what is hopefuly coming soonThis case was made for watercooling, and even with a non modular psu there is no cables showing and everything is out of sight thanks to the large and well planed out back.I did tho snap a peg off my back plate cover for the mobo even rtfm to boot about all moving parts. pressed down and the cover came right off along with the pegs holding it in place little dissapointed with that. $300 for this case and i feel as if they spet too much time on the metal parts and not enough on the plastic bits. stock cooling is ok and a tripple 120mm rad and a push pull fan setup (6 fans) fits perfectly. (standard size fans using the sith kaze slip stream) Great Case Over all Needs more work on plastic bits so 4 stars from me.

Cons:The custom cables for the hot swap are very hard, tight and not the correct length. Wish they included dust collector mesh.

Pros:Very easy access, well build. Not that heavy.
Comment:
This is a monster, even my Cooler Master Stacker looks small next to it! Very well build. If you put the right fans inside it's a very quiet case, even with the 3 fans on top!

It all about the review points, b*tches!!!If, after 30+ reviews on NCIX and a plethora on the Web, you don't know that you're looking at one of the finest cases on the planet then no one can help you.I've been putting a water cooled system in this thing for a couple of days off and on and I can tell you it's a pure pleasure to work with. There is a lot of attention to detail and thoughtful touches in this baby. One of the difficulties I'm having though, is that it's a pain to mount an mcp655 in the bottom of this rig. I blame this more on the dumb pump designers that decide they want one barb facing up and one facing out. Stupid, stupid, stupid, but what do you expect from a pump that basically belongs in an aquarium?Anyway, I had to fabricate my own mount for the pump and use a 90 degree elbow but it's looking good now. If you don't mind drilling holes in this case then it doesn't matter. There's plenty of room in the main bay for a pump. Or just use sticky stuff to place your pump.So far I'm extremely satisfied with this case and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone but especially the water cooling crowd. No more rad hanging of the back of my box like some kind of noisy monkey.I can't believe this is Corsair's first shot at building a case. Kudos on you first case and keep bringing the good stuff Corsair.

Corsair Obsidian Series 800D CC800DW Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Cons:- Nada- Maybe price, but you would never need another case again

Pros:- Cable Management- Black Interior- Water Cooling- Hot Swap- Removable CPU Back Plate Cover
Comment:
I originally purchased the Coolermaster Cosmos S for my build. After some attempted cable management I quickly gave up on the case and decided that this was the case I really wanted. I will say that this is the best case I have ever owned. The cable management features alone are worth the price. The case feels that it is of high quality and the finish is really nice. The CPU Back Plate cover is amazing and really helps when water cooling. The Hot Swap bays are really nice and are super super simply to install. The case can fit a triple rad up top without problem and can fit an additional dual rad if you remove the lower HDD tray. Overall anyone looking for a beautiful case to showcase your hot hardware, this is the case for you.

Pros:-sleek design and color-black interior-nice aluminum faceplate-very roomy case-space for watercooling-very effective cable management system-hot swappable drive bays
Comment:
Bottom line is that this is a premium-priced case that is well worth the money you pay for it. Corsair definitely hit a sweet spot for high end full tower cases to compete with the likes of lian li. A very good balance of aesthetics and features make this probably one of the best full full tower case you can but right now

Pros:Incrediby easy to work with.Lots of room for expansion. All black finish.Great wire management.
Comment:
Brilliant, I couldn't believe how easy it was to set up everything and make it look clean. They've really covered everything I wanted in a case. I moved from an Antec 900 after getting frustrated dealing with the small size of it. I figured I'd go all out, my setup includes a V10 and everything just looks small in the case when the door is opened. After beggening to set up the case my biggest fear was that installing my SSD drive was going to be a horrible experience as it needs to be positioned correctly in order to connect to the back panel. It turns out that Corsair included proper hole placement in the HDD carriage for SSD's so it was just a matter of lining up the holes and it was done.If you're looking for a full size tower, there is no reason to look further than this one.

Cons:- Would've been nice to come with 5 1/4" face plates for DVD/CD drives to keep the clean look.- No floppy drive bay.- Weight.

Pros:- Immense.- Black everything - even all of the screws included.- Relatively quiet with the stock fans.- Cable management from the gods.- Beautiful, clean fit and finish.- One-button-push side panels.- Hot swap SATA bays.- An extra rubber vibration dampener for a 120mm fan.
Comment:
I've seen some expensive cases come and go and I always thought that people who would spend more than $250 on a case were just throwing their money away - Until I saw the 800D and I realized I had to have one.For Corsair's first case, they really hit the nail on the head and I couldn't be happier. Definitely worth the dough.

Man I love this case.. got it for 199$ after rebate for my self as a birthday present.. it replaced my old Ultra Aluminus case.. I used to think that case was big.. but this thing was much bigger.. This case is a dream. Everything works so well. The side panels come off SO EASILY and go back on easily as well, as compared to my old case where it was a nightmare putting them back on. It has alot of features and comes with nice extra like 4 L shaped Sata cables and what not. Great case over all. Love the grommet system. You may notice your over all temps increase by a few degrees due to the big size.

I've been incredibly happy with this case so far.The detail that went into even the little things like protective packing covers and the included black cables and screws have made every step in setting up and using this case a very painless experience.I love the space in this case for my larger graphics cards and have no problems with airflow or high temperatures in my system. I upgraded from a Thermaltake M9 and am happy to do away with the notion of having a hard drive cage in the case.I personally love the look and construction of this case and would highly recommend it.

Comment:
The is the first big dollar enthusiasts case I've ever bought, and most likely will be my last (Hey, I started with a Comodore 64 and I wasn't even young then!). I was in need of a new case to replace my bashed up Antec Titan550 that has served me so well until it had a shipping accident which took out most of the front bezel. I tripped across this Corsair case while researching for new cases and I fell in love with the features. Cable management, case size, removable hot swap drive trays and that mean black on black look just hooked me in. The build was dead easy, lots of room inside, cooling fans are quiet and move enough air to keep my board comfortable but I don't push it to the limit. I just love the one button release for the case sides... My computer has very little room on each side where it sits in use, but just pushing the button and tilting the case sides out an inch or so, pull them up and out and I have full access to the innards.Everything is as good as I hoped for when I bought it except for the 5 1/4" bays... they work but the drives can slop back and forth as there's too much room on the sides.... I've shimmed them in tighter with some card stock and while I would have prefered a more elegant solution, it works and it's not a deal breaker for me. You can add some screws on the far side to hold things tighter but that is counteractive to having the quick release slide on the other side. I personally am not thrilled with the glossy brushed aluminum black front but again, it's not a deal breaker for me... I would have preferred something more mat or pebbled that matches the fronts of most dvd/cd drives. I could go on and on but I'll just say that I loved building my computer in this case, I never hesitate to pop the side off as it's so quick and easy and if I lost it and had to buy another computer case, there's nothing out there I'd prefer over the Corsair Obsidian case.... unless they bring out an improved version!

Corsair Obsidian Series 800D CC800DW Black Computer Case With Side Panel Window
Cons:fit of the panels and fan shrouds are crap

Pros:Tons of room , easy to install components and hotswap bay is the bomb. Cable management is the best i've seen
Comment:
I've got this annoying buzzing type resonance pulsing through this case which is making me want to drive my fist through the front of it . tried isolating door panels and faceplate etc with tape but its being a bugger trying to find it ( and why should i have to) with only the factory fans running. very poor fit with the fan shrouds which dont stay in place. this case would easily get a 5 rating for features and quality if it wasnt for the ANNOYING buzzing and the fan shroud issues. noisier than my antec 1200 i just replaced with this and the fit and finish isnt up to the Antec's standards but the space and convenience of the hot swap bay makes it worthwhile..... i guess =/

This case is great! I fit a p55 FTW in here and it works great. I will be expanding to watercooling later on so its a great setup to have that already accomodates all the featuers I want and will want. I cant say anything bad about this case because every peice of it is designed with a purpose. No realy flimsy plastic peices, though the inside back CPU cover looks a bit thin.

This has been a fantastic case for the 3 months I've had it, I'm running a close to E-ATX spec motherboard (EVGA Classified) and it looks tiny in it. My Tri-SLI setup fits perfectly, and the cable management is just unmatched. The only thing that's a bit of a downfall of this case is that my components run a little hotter inside of it, by an average of 3 degrees higher than when I had them inside my Antec 1200, but it's not a big issue. Highly Recommended.

Decided to buy this case for my first desktop build and I am not disappointed. There is a huge amount of room to work in.Cable management is excellent as there are many holes to use to hide your wires as well as to use for tubing for those who watercool.I still feel guilty for spending on this much on a case, however, I do not regret it.
