Fairly and low Pc Temp None This is the second of this model I have purchased for use in my property. I placed a single in my wifes personal computer in 2008 and it is nonetheless very and runs at a lower temp. My Computer is 6 years old and always ran hot. Immediately after putting this powersupply in the temp has been lowered significantly and small to no fan noise!

Price was very good with a rebate. Lots of power when functioning effectively. Perform only for 7 months. When installed worked fine for the first 7 months. Win7-64X, AMD 550-overclocked 15%ǚGRam/HD5770 system, not a heavy load. I began to have difficulty booting when method was cold. Technique would not boot from difficult disk. Each day continual cold boot complications like; drive not recognized and Master Boot Record corrupt messages, CMOS did not see HD. I replaced the challenging drives numerous times and the challenge would not go away. When the machine had been on for a even though (warmed up) it would run fine for the rest of the day. Lastly I replaced the Power provide and all the issues went away. I sent the PS back on warranty and inside a reasonable time received a new 1. Warranty was simple sufficient to deal with. I hope the new a single lasts longer, these are five yr warranties.

Worked well when i installed it. The fan ran nicely, so hopefully it will support with the overall cooling of the case as well as just the PSU. The wires are very thick, surrounded by some sort of mesh. It took a while to figure out how to tie them up so they wouldn't be in the way, but would nonetheless allow me to close the case.Connections were also a small confusing. The 4pin was an 8pin till you plugged it app art, and the 20pin was a 24pin until you plugged it apart. It took me a bit of head scratching just before i figured out they disconnected, which to the company's credit was mentioned in the directions. General it appears nice, just wish it wasn't so bulky and that you could unplug wires you aren't making use of in your rig to conserve space.

Really quiet Unable to provide adequate power to boot my i7-930 machine (even with a single two.five" HD as the only drive) without having shutting off. I thought the initial one particular I got was just defective, but the replacement exhibits the exact exact same behavior.Just to be clear with how ridiculous this is, the machine specs are:* i7-930 @ 2.8Ghz* 2.5" laptop HD* A single bus-powered Radeon 5670* 4GB RAMNo other components connected. At 100% theoretical load, this is a W machine, but somehow this supposedly 蛶watt" PSU is unable to even make it by way of booting without an overload. DO NOT Obtain IF YOU'RE Running AN i7. THIS WILL NOT Work.

Power provide works excellent, and as usual Newegg is the greatest. Mail In Rebate is bogus. As much as I like Corsair products, I almost certainly will not get another of their goods that has a mail in rebate.

Wonderful sale value (๋.95) for a 550W power supply. five year warranty (Hopefully I won't require it!) 1. Actual product cons, none so far...even soɆ. It Didn't come with my บ mail in rebate card.3. And to top rated it all off, I forgot to add in the 10% off promo code when I ordered it, D'Oh! I'm not positive what the typical weight of a power supply is, but this one is very heavy at about 5lbs..

Pros:Great quality, great packaging, silent.
Comment:
This is probably the best bang for the buck. I bought this for 60$ and it runs perfectly. The packaging is on par with their professional HX series. Both have the white bag to cover the PSU and both came with ties and the Corsair sticker. Runs silently.

Excellent good quality power, from a superior brand. Power was really a bit higher than what it is rated but no complaints. If I make yet another rig this size I would get one more one. None so far, carries its load like a champ. Modular is a "thought", even though everyone buying must commonly know what they are getting up from........i.e not modular.

Works best. Came with zip ties, that's fairly nice of them. Worked wonderful for a 460GTX and Phenom X6 1055. I'll probably have to upgrade once again when I get a second video card. But hey, that's my fault not theirs. Had to buy a new PSU when I upgraded graphics cards. Fit the bill perfectly. This is my very first Corsair PSU and they're now on the shortlist of firms I'll obtain or advocate for power supplies.

Purchased this to energy a GTX 460 for playing Starcraft 2. I chose it mainly because it was .five" much less deep than the average 500+ Watt power supply, and as a result it fit nicely into my stock Dell case. Someday I will get a new case ultimately and it won't matter then, but for now, this mattered. Really quiet and runs cool. None

A lot of energy, a lot of connections, quiet, smooth, I also like the black color. Minor issues: this PSU is somewhat heavy; I didn't need to have all the connections so it's kind of a mess inside the case. If only this were modular, issues would appear significantly tidier. I've installed it a couple of days ago to replace my old energy provide and at first I was scared the fan wasn't spinning--it was that quiet! I was genuinely impressed. What a amazing item so far. Installation was painless.

lots of cables for choices, decent adequate energy for something but high enthusiast dual graphics card configuration. Also typically priced nicely. I installed it in my case and it works. Cables are shielded and are pretty long. It runs fairly tight voltages too... Its only 550 Watts... Forget running SLI... not really a CON for me. I had a 750 Watt power supply that wasn't exactly a trusted brand, and it ran ok for about 6 months and stopped working I'm attempting to get it fixed below warranty so I have a decent back up if I ever will need it.I went with this model due to the fact I wasn't actually utilizing all of the wattage on the now dead one. So when I went to replace it I figured I should just get a thing that just functions and has maybe an additional 100 Watts for just in case.

I was amazed at the good quality when I installed this PSU. It is considerably quieter than my prior PSU. I have this installed in my HTPC and this slight hum from the PCU is all that is audible.five year warranty! None. Modular design would be good but that is offered with more expensive models. comes in a nice bag. Newegg's RMA procedure is uncomplicated and fast. This is why I only buy my laptop or computer items from this internet site. Mobo tagged the 3.three volt rail as out of range. I was finding three.6-three.65 volts, the allowable need to be + or - five%. I rma'ed the PSU as I was concerned it would harm my components. Now I have a brand new laptop or computer sitting for 2 weeks waiting for the turn about on the PSU. Other con is I had to pay to return the defective PSU, cost ผ.50 to return. Subsequent time I will get a completely modular PSU, stuffing all the extra cables into a corner of the case does not make for a clean build. Other evaluations rated this really high, which is why I did'nt rate it lower - just got a bad unit.

Works properlyVEEERRRYYY QUIET Was a bit challenging to fit in case (Antec 300) but got it in with a little force.SATA cables were a bit brief. Runs really quiet. I had to kind of flip around the cables due to the fact the connectors for the DVD and HDD seemed to be somewhat flipped. So I had to turn around the cable producing it a tight squeeze. Possibly this is just a "me" issue. Good get

Question only at this time... No four-pin plug for CPU power? I hate to ask this, because I believe that I messed up when I ordered this to power a new method based on an MSI 890GXM-G65 motherboard - (that I also just purchased here.)So, here goes, there's no 4-pin plug to power the CPU, "JPWR2" on my board. I've looked like 6 times and it's just not there. I thought this was a standard thing?!Any assist would be significantly appreciated. This just shot down any hope of acquiring this thing fired up in the near future.

High amps on rails, most notably the 12v. Clean stable energy.Trustworthy as hell.Corsair PSU. None, even now 550W is a lot more than enough for a single GPU system that isn't an insanely energy hungry GPU. Specifically a high high quality PSU like this. So glad I purchased this PSU, began with a less expensive PSU from one more name brand and believed factors would be okay. Sadly I got a poor unit and I haven't been able to OC my old E2180 to three.2Ghz considering that...only lets me get to two.6Ghz stable. If you're stuck on deciding on a PSU, I highly suggest this or any other Corsairs.
