Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE Sound Card
Cons:None

Pros:Works well in Windows 7
Comment:
I bought this sound card to replace a broken on-board sound card and it does the job very well. I can't say much about the sound quality since I have cheap speakers but it is at least as good as in on-board one. It's a great 7.1 card for people on a budget. I use it on Windows 7 64 bits and everything works fine.

If you're seeking for a wonderful enhance more than onboard sound without the high price in pocketbook this is the place to start out. No optical audio outputs if you're looking for that level of sound output.

Effortless installationDecent sound for priceFast Shipping (kudos, Newegg) Package was rather abused upon arrival-not seriously a con, but when shopping for OEM merchandise, don't anticipate for documentation to be included. I purchased this card in conjunction with a new HDTV so that I could run 7.1 sound with no getting a complete household theater program (Yes, I am cheap) Following reading about the a number of installation problems from other Windows 7 ࿠ bit) customers, I went ahead and disabled my on-board audio prior to installation. I then installed the card, booted, and let Windows automatically download the proper drivers. After Windows Update finished installing, I promptly had excellent sound by way of all channels. I didn't attempt to install any of the Creative drivers from either the integrated CD-ROM or the Creative internet site. This was installed on a Foxconn C51GU01 Motherboard with an AMD Athlon™ 64 3800+ Processor, 4 GB RAM, and a Nvidia Geforce 7600GT video automobile. If any person had issue installing the OEM version of this card, I would suggest using the same steps I did, as I had totally no problems. Installation took much less than 5 minutes total. Very recommended

It plays sound at a great high quality! Can't truly inform a difference from the onboard. It was a little difficult to setup my mic and speakers with the control panel but I got it operating :) I fairly much bought it to lower pressure from the motherboard that was employing the onboard sound.

IT operates. Very good. Greater than onboard, but that might just the placebo impact kicking in. Really great value Honestly, if you have the cash, go for a thing superior like the x-fi titanium or a single of the ASUS cards. Also, turn off EAX When listening to music, it got all awkwardly echoey. I bought this to replace my messed up onboard. Works fine in windows 7, windows detected it and auto-installed the necessary drivers, extremely uncomplicated.

The ideal option for not incredibly demanding user. The greatest value dollars can obtain! It's Inventive and worked fine with my 5.1 Logitech speaker setup. The only problem that as soon as I bought Television Tuner card I was missing a Line-In port (on this card it is shared with MIC that was in use in my case).Strategy your channel usage just before shopping for. I had to replace it immediately after a couple of months with SB Audigy ZS two Value (another fantastic choice I guess).

Fantastic cost, fantastic top quality. It doesn't come with inputs for front panel jacks... But this card is old enough that I don't feel they were around when it was created. So I'm not taking an egg away. Replacing onboard sound. Enormous distinction in sound good quality, and program resources. A must have for persons who require a low cost option to onboard.

Economical, uncomplicated to set up. Does not strengthen sound quality substantially with mediocre speakers. Drivers take a extended time to install. I would only acquire this item if you have horrible built in audio but a pair of decent speakers.

Beauitful Sound, 3d sound. Awesome and will blow you away. None. I had a inventive live five.1. Sadly it would not function with vista. I was stuck using my motherboards onboard audio, which under no circumstances sounds as fantastic as carded audio. I picked this sound card up cheap, and dont regret it one bit one bit. It sounds like your proper on stage with the band playing. The 3d HD sound will blow you away. This is the highest excellent sound I have heard from a sound card.

Economical and operates. It is an improvement more than the on board sound. The download sight gives a bunch of possibilities to chose from for audio customization. Not at this value. As with most cards like this, you have to watch out for what you get . This card does not have a plug on it that allows the front ports for ear phones and microphones on the case. The plug on it is for cd/dvd players to plug in only. I wish it had an adapter to enable the stock situation audio and mic ports.

Have had this card for a couple years, worked fantastic with XP, by no means had an issue. Lately upgraded to Win 7 Pro; Creative drivers no longer assistance recording from the card, i.e. "What U Hear." Generating videos (with sound) from the screen for game re-caps no longer workable, with out getting to use the Mic and selecting up background room noise. Roaming by way of the Inventive forums shows quite a few unhappy consumers operating Inventive cards under Win 7. I'm looking for a new card and will no wait to see if Inventive releases workable drivers.

The card itself appears to operate ok. Sound good quality is eh. I'll be returning this card. I never ever could get the bundled application software to recognize that the card was there. I e-mailed Soundblaster about it, and in the words of their buyer help, their bundled application software program is not compatible with Windows 7. There are no immediate plans for an update. If you're running Windows 7, I would advise looking at something else.

I slapped this in my computer system and it ran wonderful on XP. Then I upgraded my operating process and every thing was nevertheless OK. A month ago Microsoft sent out an upgrade and I got the blue screen shutdown. My tech could by no means find drivers to make it operate so he slapped in a inexpensive audio card. I can't tell the difference regarding sound and now my personal computer operates. I would not recommend this if you are running Windows 7. There is nothing in the specs that claim it will function. Even if you don't have Windows 7 if there is a likelihood you may well upgrade do not obtain this card.

Sound excellent is good even though I'm working with a prehistoric two.1 process. Numerous tweaks and effects. I like the bass increase too ;) To get to the actual installation took forever. It's not my computer's fault; their installation is just .. bloooated. Organizing a 5.1 or 7.1 in the future so this will come in handy. I guess it's always superior to use an actual sound card more than on-board sound .. my system is 2-3 years old so the sound isn't that fantastic.

Cons:-none thus far...

Pros:-cheap-improvement over onboard sound

Good upgrade from on-board analogue sound. It's pretty cheap, so it fit the budget for a budget build. The computer it is installed on will only be used for general internet use, so it's not like top notch sound was required.
