7.1 channels of averge, non-onboard sound. Price tag. Primarily a rebranded SB Reside card... There are particular kinds of *cough* specific drivers *cough* that will turn this into a *cough* much better *cough* X-a thing sound card.Needless to say, I seriously got my money's worth :)

Solid card for the value. If you certainly need a sound card and you are looking to save some dollars, this is the card for you! Without having plugs for front audio, this card gets a single significantly less egg from me. You could make an adapter cable from the Soundblaster port on the card, but you shouldn't have to. I advocate at least going for the card above this 1. That one particular at least has the front audio output.

Great sound High quality. Fantastic upgrade from onboard video. And it's black, my preferred color! No front panel audio connectors, but that's tough to locate on PCI audio cards. I have seen a lot of custom rigs with PCI audio and this card is the best I have heard. Even my Laptop or computer Technologies professors suggest this card to students developing a new rig.

Set up and worked below Windows 7 with the most recent drivers. Crapped out inside a week. It now only generates static of clicks and pops. Truly disappointed in Inventive Labs. I believed Sound Blaster was a household name for sound cards and this one particular doesn't live up to the name.

Performs fine w/ my digital audio input on my ONKYO Dolby 5.1 amp. Sound card has no challenge as long as you download latest driver from Inventive and avoid making use of the CD that came with it (CD may function for prerelease versions of Windows 7). None.

I had to shuffle my boards around inside my laptop or computer to get it to function. As soon as I did that installation and updating the software program was a breeze. A child could have performed that. This card will do 7.1, has an equalizer, and sounds much superior than the on-board sound. I paid a small also significantly at NE. received fast delivery so paying ű.00 much more than I required to was bearable.

- Sounds good- Amazing worth- Simple to install and software \ driver installed without an situation on XP Pro -- Pentium four machine None Wanted a practical card to set up in an older personal computer that was going to be mainly utilised as an entertainment server. I conencted the personal computer to my Television for watching DVD's \ Netflix \ Slingbox. I also connected the method to a logitech Z-2300 for playing music and enhancing film soundtracks making use of the Sound Blaster Audigy. My initial thought was ehhh becasue the midrange on the Z-2300 was AWFUL -- BASS and highs had been nice although. I bought a haeadphone jack y-splitter from radio shack and conencted the Sound Blaster Audigy to both my stereo speakers and the Z-2300 and now it sounds Great. Connect the card to a good set of speakers and there will be no need to have for the hassle of y-splittres and stereo piggybacking. This audio card does a good job for a extremely low-cost price. Quite satisfied with this card.

The card doesn't seem to have any actual flaws as far as sound good quality goes. I don't have the ideal sound method in the globe but for music and games it fills my space up with sound fairly nicely, or at least considerably superior than my onboard sound from Gigabyte which at instances tends to make an annoying crackle at any pitch. Would advise to anyone searching for a very good inexpensive card. None so far, lets hope it stays that way. Not really substantially of a Con but i couldn't discover any decent software to mix and match the actual imputs on the back of the sound card. For instance I wanted to have two sets of "front speakers," one of which would be my headphones. This was mostly because I wanted to have my headphones and speakers playing at the identical time. :D

Used this to replace recently deceased onboard sound in my antique (MSI K7N MB, AMD Athlon 2400 CPU) Pc. Great sounding card for the price, effortless set up below WinXP-SP3. None. Newegg shipping is fantastic. Received the card right here in SoCal within two days of putting my order. This is not an audiophile soundcard - nor must you expect it to be at the cost.

Exceptional upgrade for the cash over most motherboards integrated. I purchased it retail more than a year ago and it's nonetheless working fine. Creative and their drivers aren't fantastic. To the reviewer beneath me (saint4God), this card operates flawlessly in Windows 7. I've utilised this card with XP Pro x86, Vista Ultimate x64, and Win7 Ultimate x64 with out any concerns. Here is a link to the cards drivers (the Windows 7 driver need to be the initially listed). http://support.creative.com/Products/ProductDetails.aspx?catIDɣ&subCatID&prodID&prodName=AudigyຈSE&subCatName=Audigy&CatName=Sound+Blaster&VARSET=prodfaq:PRODFAQ_14257,VARSET=CategoryIDɅRight after putting in the only other concern you may have is that it might not be configured by default to your speaker setup. Simply open Control Panel then open Sound. In the Playback tab select Speakers (may vary) and then press the Configure button. Adhere to the methods and you really should be all set.The only other issue you could want to mess with is the Creative Audio Control Panel. You can uncover it in your Begin Menu in a folder labeled Creative. You may want to disable EAX Effects and CMSS-3D.Hope that helped.

Inexpensive 7.1 sound card. It is a lot much better than onboard. Ahead of putting in this I got pops, slight hiss, and broken voices in games from a re@ltek chip on a 2009 mobo. Now games and music sound excellent. You must set it in speaker properties to 24bit manually, default is 16bit. As for those saying it is not Windows 7 compatible are definitely wrong. They are executing something incorrect. It is just a basic sound card but it blows my on board out of the water. I have a quite excellent speaker setup even though and definitely notice a huge distinction in sound high quality and volume. It generates greater sounds then your common on board no matter what the other people say. It is a cheap way to get good quality audio for a decent sound program. Incredibly good for games, music, and movie playback at a spending budget value. Could use a direct output for amps and one additional input. Be confident to uninstall your old sound drivers then disable onboard chip in bios before installing the card. I would bet this is the challenge people giving the card poor reviews are missing. To undesirable fantastic products get undesirable critiques from individuals who are not putting in it appropriately. Windows update has the most recent driver for windows 7 as nicely as Inventive's site.

Cheap and seemed promising. Warning: Be quite cautious when loading the drivers. I installed the new board - no difficulty. I loaded the drivers from the disk and planned to download the Windows 7 drivers as soon as completed. Just before the disk drivers finished loading, Windows froze, rebooted, and now I am unable to restart, restore or repair Windows from ANY restore point. The Windows repair utility simply reports a poor driver. I am completely unable to access Windows or ANY of my files. I have by no means had such a total technique failure from loading a straightforward driver!

Can't believe of any. Typical creative driver help, doesnt sound any better than a decent onboard solution, compatibility is sketchy. This unique card is fairly pathetic. Causes challenging locks in the course of games in any Pc it's place in. I'm tired of Inventive and their worthless driver support and shoddy products. This has been replaced by a 7.1 realtek onboard audio resolution. At least the onboard doesnt lead to tough lockups.

I havent had any superior great experiences with this card. I got this card thinking I would work fine with Windows 7. I was wrong. I first tryed working with the CD with it, and it kept giving me the blue error screen, and would restart the computer. After I took the CD out I went on the web and discovered an update for it, which created the issue perform, but not nicely at all.The sound that comes out echos and voices are a little messed up. If you have Windows 7, don't get this. I wouldnt recommend this anyway, getting as it is an OEM item, its a discomfort to send back if one thing goes incorrect
