Flawless functionality. Easy setup and adjustment utilizing the nvidia-settings GUI interface. None so far. I play World of Warcraft with all the video settings at max. The only challenge I have is the network lag about suppertime that is the norm for Comcast in my area.I also watch Tv (cable) using a Pinnacle card, saa7134 module, v4l, and TVTime with definitely no problems. My OS is Gentoo Linux ƒ.6.32-r2). I am working with the x11-drivers/nvidia-driver (version 190.53-r1 as of this writing). I also use Nvidia's vga and opengl implementations (bundled with the driver). This box sometimes runs Windows XP SP3. I have no complaints about this cards efficiency with that OS (driver downloaded from nvidia internet site).Current system:Mobo: ASUS P5NSLICPU: Pentium Duo 3.0GHzMem: 3G Kingston DDR2.I just bought the components to construct a total new technique. Two of these cards will be operating SLI enabled.

I had bought the 9500 as an upgrade from a Gforce 8400 GS. My games have been laggy and had to be played on low settings. Following this came quickly via newegg I installed in in a snap. I simply updated the drivers by means of the nvidia internet site and tested it out. The distinction between playing games like Deadspace, EVE and Oblivion on a high setting creates a new game encounter. So far, so great. Want I did it sooner. =( Worth the money and makes a huge difference in graphics. If your a gamer on a spending budget, then this is a great middle of the road card.

-Only requires one slot-Runs cool and steady, never ever had any challenge-does what it's supposed to none Purchased this as a affordable upgrade to my Geforce eight series. I don't play super higher-end modern games, but this card does every little thing I would count on it to do. By no means any driver troubles or hardware troubles with it. Would advocate it for exactly what it is, as of the time I'm writing this, a solid (and low-cost) low-mid range video card.

Does a good job. With cooling modification I have this card operating at 57c though playing COD: Black Ops on Max settings... I also play Fall Out: New Vegas on Ultra. This factor will do the job, but it requires aid staying cool. Fan will fail. Great card plain and simple, but the fan sucks terrible. Get the card rip off the fan and get some thing much better to maintain this thing cool.

Low cost and runs fantastic! Plays all of the games that I like, which aren't quite a few, on higher settings. Decodes h.264 and lets the CPU idle. It just operates for me. None. It's a little odd to have a machine that has 8GB of DDR3, while my graphics card has DDR2, but that's what you get when you construct a machine on a spending budget.

I have a number of of these in a number of computers, they work fantastic. No troubles till... The tiny fan that cools the video card is Low-cost. I can make certain you of this. I've purchased about 5 of these and with two of them, the fans start to make a really loud noise due to the fact they grow to be unable to spin appropriately. This is all without any overclocking or any strenuous use whatsoever. The video card is fantastic, the fan that cools it is not.

Comment:
Low cost card Based on all the positive evaluations I read on this card, I thought it would be a decent and low-cost upgrade from my two year old 7900gt with a lot reduced specs. Apparently not. Incredibly low FPS in MW2. Scored considerably reduce in the windows efficiency report. Don't anticipate to play existing games with this card. I guess I'll be placing my 7900 back in and keeping this close to for my next spare make. Sigh.

Effectively i just got performed rocking this baby out for the final time. This card had a good run. Overclocks like a dream. Pushes 28 fps on GTA IV with Higher settings. People today don't give this card considerably credit but wow it actually rocks for the cash. I would maintain utilizing it but I'm just ready for the large jump to a gtx570. This card hates shadows. Got to keep the quality down or off for dynamic shadows, but the textures it can pump out make up for it. Don't push the Shade clock too high or you will have significant stability issues Overclock to 700mhz clock 1500mhz shade clock and 500mhz memory

Comment:
I've had this card for about 8 months now, making use of it for a small gaming and multimedia applications. It handles older games really nicely (Team Fortress 2, COD 4, and so on) and can run newer games if you don't attempt to go full graphics. I've had no difficulties and it's run really effectively due to the fact I took it out of the box. Nvidia seems to often update drivers. Overall performance. This is a price range card. For the money, it's excellent, but it must be geared additional toward business applications and multimedia.

Relatively effective for a single slot card. Excellent cost. Outstanding for photo editing as properly as gaming (not the most recent games on the highest settings even though). General a fantastic purchase for the price Can be a tad bit noisy when operating higher I bought this card to replace my old 7600 GT KO that died right after numerous faithful years of service. I've usually had excellent experiences with EVGA cards

EVGA GeForce 9500 GT 01G-P3-N959-TR Video Card
Comment:
Runs UT3 at practically highest settings at 30 fps with DOF and bloom, and 40-60 devoid of. Can probably play more recent games at medium and low settings. Even so, if you're searching to play these games at highest settings with smooth frames, then you may want a 9800 instead. This isn't a card for intense gaming, it's for casual gaming and productivity. And but, when I installed the card, I expected nothing at all a lot more than a score of four in my Vista WMI, but I was surprised when it came up as a 5. I expected no additional than medium-low settings in UT3, but I set every little thing to higher and I still got an enjoyable experience. And that's with a 2.four GHz Pentium Dual Core with two GB RAM. This card has exceeded my individual expectations. This card will also probably be a good card for productivity purposes, like for example, encoding movies in HD. I wouldn't know, even though, so don't take my word for it. Has DDR2, which is apparently incredibly slow. Then once more, I didn't pay focus to the kind of memory, considerably much less knew what it meant, so that's my fault.Anytime I start off my personal computer up immediately after a lengthy time of no activity, the fan gets ridiculously loud, however this is my case's fault, as pushing the card down by the VGA connector stops the noise. Remove YOUR OLD DRIVERS AND DISABLE YOUR Built-IN CHIPSET! I know this must be apparent, but I managed to overlook this step, which caused me three days of difficulties prior to I lastly got it to operate. So just throwing that out there. Some people today contact this card low-end. If that's true, then is a 9400 dirt-end? I'd say this card is medium-low.

(This is a redo of my other overview posted about 2 weeks ago because my views on this card have completely and significantly changed)Ran fairly properly until a month soon after use the fan started an annoying noiseLow cost (but you get what you spend for)Uses supplemental power month after minimal use it started generating a tiny growling noise occasionally. It became a lot more and a lot more frequent and louder, till now the fan will not cease generating a horrible grinding/growling noise that goes in and out every single second. I looked at the temp and it's 68c. The fan is likely going to die soon if I don't already kill it because of the sound. By no means Using A STOCK COOLER FROM EVGA EVER Once more!!!

Simple to install, reasonably priced, can run modern games. Won't run the absolute newest games, not good for a hardcore gaming rig, outdated. This is a solid video card for an individual on an really tight spending budget. If you are building a critical rig, certainly forego this selection and acquire anything much more powerful. Nonetheless, if you are like me and have a decent stock Pc but an outdated vid card and want to get pleasure from some games of yesteryear, this isn't a negative solution.Note: Runs CS:S pretty effectively on high resolution with antialiasing and other bonus capabilities turned OFF.Runs Fallout three on medium top quality tolerably nicely; provides horrible draw distance detail and atrocious loading-in schemes. Nonetheless enjoyable to play, even though.

I did also add some Ram with this so that is exactly where the improved memory numbers came from. I am a Laptop or computer/Electronic Engneer Tech , match your specs to your technique.
