EVGA GeForce 9500 GT 01G-P3-N959-TR Video Card
Comment:
This card is great for the money. Very good mid to upper level card. Ofcourse there are better cards but for the money can't go wrong. EVGA Precision utility that comes with it is great. I have mine overclocked just a little and it runs great. Running on XFX 750a sli nforce motherboard AMD 64x2 5800+ 3.0ghz 4GIGS ram. Runs great and quiet and cool.

This card is really got for 90 dollars (I'm too lazy to do rebates.) On one of the asus m2n/2.6 athlon dual core combos, it's just amazing. At full graphics settings, while dual screening, with 1440x900 resolution: Portal 40-60 fps (goes down to about 30 when you're looking through a portal at another portal), Oblivion 30-80 fps, sometimes dropping to 20 when you're out in the wilderness Left 4 dead: 40-60 fps (had to turn off dual core processing and then it ran great. Might be a problem with xp) Age of Empires 3: 40 fps or so (dropped lower when the network started to lag, but that's hardly the card's fault.) Might not sound like much, but when I say full graphics, I mean FULL graphics. HDR, Max Shaders, Shadow Effects, anis-filtering, antialiasing, etc. The games look GOOD.

I have built many PC clones in the past ('86-'96) for industrial automation. I am now retired and my old Dell P4 needed to be retired also. I went to CompUSA.com for my new system. I bought the Asus M2N-SLI AM2/AM2+ Barebone Kit, Windows Home Vista Prem. 64-bit OEM OS, Lite-on IHAS120 DVD, EVGA GeForce 9500 GT Video Card, WD Cavair Green 750GB 16MB/SATA-3G Hard Drive and a Ultra Thermo-Control 120mm case fan. I read all the manuals then assembled the kit. I powered it up, it posted to the BIOS, I put the Vista OS CD in the drive closed the drive. The disk formated the hard drive then stared the install I followed the on screen instructions. I did not need any drivers to get this system up and running. I am 65 years old and have not done a new build in 13 years. Its been two weeks and I am Vary happy with My New System!!
