Comment:
Inexpensive...runs pretty cool It's 128 bit..which is ok. I guess. And its DDR2, which signifies it's slow as hell. I just wish I knew how slow it would be when I purchased it. It can't run newer games. If you're still playing the six year old WoW..I guess it's fine. If you wanna play DA:O or crysis, don't obtain this card. You can devote an further fifty bucks and get much much better efficiency

Low cost Value, works great for mid-range gaming, Just be ready to replace it in a couple years Faulty Heat Sink fan. Runs Loud. I walked into this understanding I was purchasing a low-cost card that was certain to fail. and for ๑ I suppose I can't complain as well a lot. I practically got 2 years out of the card. From week 1 the fan would have fits and run really loud, most likely due to the fact of an concern with the bearings. In addition to the Imminent fan failure (Apparently its really widespread with this card, so I took my probabilities and ignored it), It was a pretty decent card. Worked well for Mid-ranged gaming. WoW on Ultra, SC2 on High.

EVGA GeForce 9500 GT 01G-P3-N959-TR Video Card
Comment:
Decent overall performance for the cost, S-Video out, moderate energy consumption and size. Artifacts and wavy lines appear across the displays (even throughout BIOS splash screen just before drivers are loaded). S-Video out never seemed to totally function. Nvidia Manage Panel locks up when detecting Television. I contacted EVGA assistance. They thought it was either my PSU, PCI-e slot, or the video card itself. I swapped out the video card with a buddy's 8800 GT (which is far more power hungry than the 9500) and it worked just fine (including the s-video out). I would have exchanged it, as I'm certain I just got a lemon, but then the rebate submission period would have expired before I got the replacement. it's essentially less expensive to just pay the re-stocking fee and re-acquire the item than to void the rebate.

EVGA GeForce 9500 GT 01G-P3-N959-TR Video Card
Comment:
Uncomplicated setup in Windows 7. Uncomplicated to uncover nvidia's most recent driver. In windows 7, causes catalyst manage center (tm) to be installed, which complains that the video card is incompatible, even with the most up-to-date driver from nvidia. Box comes up soon after each and every reboot, and it often complains, but it appears to work otherwise. I purchased this so I could hook up three-four monitors in my computer - I only have one PCIe slot, but there's one more card in the similar series that's PCI, and I'm expecting this to perform. At the moment have two monitors connected, no complications.I'm not a gamer, but I installed steam and place on 1 game just out of curiosity. I can't say I was blown away by this card's performance, but I'm not sure what would blow me away. At my monitor's highest resolution, frame rate was unacceptable. Had to choke down the resolution. So gaming fanatics wouldn't be interested--but I'm guessing the fanatics currently know which cards to purchase, and that's not this a single. If like me, you want multi-monitor capability, have only one particular PCIe slot, and aren't going to do a lot of hardcore gaming, this card is a great choice.

It is far better than my old EVGA 7600 GS 512MB. It doesn't say that it is encouraged for gaming, but I'm employing it on Call of Duty: Black Ops along with a 2.4MHz processor. I find that the EVGA Precision tool can push this card to carry out like a 9700-9800.Excellent for the cost (mine was โ). I had some fan issues when I got the card, but I've had those troubles ahead of, it's not a difficulty that is hard to repair or detrimental to the integrity of the card.Rapid Repair: Purchase a fan from the dollar retailer and open your situation. Although I do think the card is decent, I'm seeking to upgrade after a tiny over a year due to the fact it is getting left behind by the new Fermi cards.

EVGA GeForce 9500 GT 01G-P3-N959-TR Video Card
Comment:
This is a spending budget card. for organization applications and multimedia. Works nicely as a dual head graphics card. I am operating 2 in tandem with 4 screens on a Windows 7 64 bit machine. The fans are finding progressively noisier even though I blow them out with air frequently. The fans appear to run at full speed at all instances, even with the monitors in hibernation. The fans are OEM units bonded to the board. I doubt if EVGA will sell me just the replacement fan when these go, as they surely will, so this card possibly has to be deemed a throw-away when the fan goes. NVIDIA updates are driving me crazy. There are so a lot of drivers available and they are continuously changing them. I guess this is fantastic if you generally select the proper driver. I consider the NVIDIA drivers are a bit buggy. I am disappointed that my Windows Performance Score is only three.7 based on the video card performance.

Improvement over my final card. Straightforward to installSurprisingly quiet (most of the time) None I have a Dell desktop and upgrading is type of risky, they don't truly tell you what you have by way of power supply and so forth. so when my reconditioned card died I knew i couldn't get a replacement model. this was the subsequent step up. cheap, does the job.

Decent card for the dollars, quiet...most of the time, Runs nicely in stressful conditions. Fan can be a bit noisy at occasions. Sounds like its grinding a bit on startup. Card acted odd when drivers had been initially installed. (See Other thoughts) I docked an egg because of the driver matter, and that wasnt genuinely a enormous dilemma.I purchased this card to replace my Geforce 7500 GT, which was DOA inside a week of installing it. I had a buddy of mine essentially order, and install the card. When I took my computer system household, and powered it up, the only resolution I was able to use was like 600x800, or one thing like that. I took it back to him, and had him take a look at it. He re-installed the drivers from the disc, only to discover that the challenge was nonetheless there. We lastly ended up going on-line, and locating the drivers on eVGA's site. Immediately after about thirty minutes of function, the card was working exactly as it must. General, its a excellent card.

Includes a tool that allows you to customize brightness/contrast to the monitor(s) in use, creating colors more vibrant. Software included operates properly and enables you to customize settings for individual games so you can have additional intensive games run superior, whilst older games look superior.Overclocking software works extremely nicely, permitting you to push the card to the brink of stability and back. Has contributed to the instability of my computer, however I personally think that that is basically due to the truth that my computer system is rather old and wants to be replaced. This card does not like shadows. I suggest (unless you have a fast laptop or computer to support compensate) turning off dynamic shadows or turning shadow detail down. Operates wonderful with just about every game I've tried it on. My prior card was an old ATI Radeon X1650 ﰀmb.A single of my very first tests was with the Dawn of War II benchmark, of which I got an average FPS of 16 (with my old card it averaged at about 7), a minimum FPS of 8, and highest was 40+, and it really didn't decrease when I turned up some settings.I also went from operating Borderlands at 640x480 with a pathetic framerate to 1280x960 on max settings (minus dynamic shadows)with a continual framerate of amongst 20 and 35. I'd say that's a worthwhile improvement. This card, combined with the new headphones I purchased, has produced atmospheric games so significantly much more believable, with STALKER: CoP getting the finest at it.If you still have a graphics card with much less than 1gb, get this card. For me, it was a way to prolong the life of my pc till I can afford a new 1, which I will almost certainly place this card in anyway.

Kinda works Couldn't get it to work well in Kubuntu or Ubuntu 9.ten. Nvidia binary drivers give incredibly jagged and washed-out look with other problems also. Got a correct hunting output with open supply NV drivers but that way there is no 2DǙD acceleration for desktop effects.I've given up and re-installed my old 7800GT. Will attempt to RMA this. “Low value” SLI setup was straightforward; cards are not huge so the SLI setup didn’t cramp my case. I didn’t anticipate a lot out of this setup but “I was still disappointed”. Adding the second card gave me incredibly little efficiency enhance. I would have been superior off with a single card with quicker ram and a newer generation GPU. It’s not a poor card, just kind of old as far as the specs are concerned. It would be great for very simple games or upgrading onboard graphics. Nonetheless running them in SLI is a waste of time and dollars, just pick a far better card.

Saved my bacon, the card functions on systems with no a huge power supply. Installed on a Dell Optiplex 780 for a consumer that only has a 350 watt PS. Tried other cards and they did not work, due to the fact they needed 400 watt PS or Greater. Didn't want to replace PS and risk voiding warranty. Functions fantastic buyer loves it. NONE Win 7 found it no difficulty. Up and running in minutes.

Its not extremely excellent if your planing on utilizing your 42" plazma television for a monitor either. beleave me i know runs flawless with windows 7 properly rounded card but not for high tech gaming

The card itself was extremely easy to install.Windows 7 was in a position to automatically find and install the drivers which weren't usable from the CD that came with the card. The driver CD that came with it does not have any drivers that are usable by Windows 7.There are flickering blocks of teal/red at the top of my primary monitor (Samsung SyncMaster 92770HD) which were not present with my last card. These are incredibly distracting. Manually looking for drivers on the EVGA web-site was a bit painful considering that the packaging and manual neglect to mention the series (recognizing the card to be within the 9 Series is not as obvious as it really should be).I'm returning this card as soon as the EVGA GeForce GT 440 arrives.
