EVGA GeForce 9500 GT 01G-P3-N959-TR Video Card
Comment:
Affordable, Lots of memory, Rapidly in everyday usage, can deal with HD vids or blue ray with ease. You need to most likely go with an additional manufacturer but if your set on EVGA make sure you have some alcohol and thermal grease prepared. Clean it up and apply the thermal grease properly. Good card but seriously sloppy application of thermal grease on my card which led it to overheat. Took it apart a week after purchasing mainly because it was overheating and a lot far more then the core was covered in ceramic thermal grease. Thank (Satan?) they didn't use a metallic grease or that thing would have shorted the initially time i put it in.

This is a great video card for my needs. It installed simple and functions well. The driver install and download worked great. None, though I would advise normal cleaning of the fan on the video card and inside of the computer system at least one a month, to lessen achievable fan failure and damage to the components I wanted to add a PCI-E 1GB video card to upgrade from onboard video. This is a average video card that is affordable and doesn't require additional power PCI connectors. It's fine for my purpose. I'm not a gamer and I don't do video or photo editing, just basic internet and property pc use.

The card worked very good for a year and half and that was just average use, absolutely nothing strenuous. When the card started getting issues tried to RMA the card to EVGA. EVGA was no help and would not repair/ replace the card even thou the card is nonetheless in warranty. I will under no circumstances get yet another EVGA item once more, but I will defiantly look at other manufactures that do take care of their shoppers and my next card will be purchased here on Newegg. Manufacturer Response:Hello,We stand behind all of our goods at EVGA. Please contact me at srobb@evga.com and I will be pleased to look into your case.thank youEVGA support

PLAYS WoW Fantastic! Easy install, I MEAN Uncomplicated! I have no CD drive so I had to go to the web page to install the driver. http://www.geforce.com/#/Drivers Automobile Detect. Install. Effortless as cake. Took my Compaq two.7Ghz, 4GB Ram on WoW from 20fps on all low settings, to 30+ Fps on all high settings. In perspective, more than 80fps on all low settings. Runs fairly quiet. Fit in my case simply as well. Good Product. I did not get it sooner. Wonderful Item FOR Cost!!! Anybody who says otherwise is a person who has under no circumstances used a card that expense less than 300 dollars. Don't listen to the negative evaluations. They are complete of it.

It's precisely what I expect, got it primarily so I can create a machine with dual monitors and this was properly priced for the functionality, It's extremely compact compared to a lot of gaming graphics cards and doesn't call for a 6 pin power meaning it's nicer to the PSU. Don't expect to play current games on high settings, so almost certainly not very good for a gamer, or gaming machine.

Easiest install ever--just plugged it in and installed the drivers from the CD. Nonetheless waiting on my rebate... Was worried about getting to uninstall the built in mother board Nvidia video. No troubles--ASUS motherboard checks for a PCI video card ahead of initializing the built in graphics.

About four months ago I built myself my own gaming machine. I was planing on getting a greater card from my friend for cost-free so I settled for this one. It turned out that my friend had severely damaged his card and that's why he was replacing it so I was stuck with the 9500gt. It's a extremely fantastic card for the value, I was able to run Crysis on nearly all high settings (no Overclock) at about 18-22 FPS! But most of my games are not as demanding as Crysis like: Team Fortress two ྾-40 fps highest settings)Half-Life 2࿈-50 fps highest settings)Counter Strike Source鳖-200 fps medium high settings wit ha great connection) I love this card but about a month ago it started growling like a vicious dog. I wasn't certain what was producing the horrible noise in my case. Later I definitively found that it was the card. I checked it's temp and it was regular. I ultimately caught it in the act when it would randomly start off growling, it skyrocketed to 65ㅾc in idle! However I feel the fan is going to die so I'm going to upgrade to the EVGA 9600gt hopefully with greater luck. Hopefully I'll have far better luck with EVGA's 9600gt.My method:Intel Dual Core Quad (ƞgb of ddr2 ramGigabyte UD3P motherboardRosewill 500w psuWestern Digital Caviar 1TB HDD

It does a fine job of working with many monitors, which is why I purchased it. The driver install requires some support. The CD that came with the card was unreadable, and the driver I downloaded from Nvidia told me that the installation "failed". So, I rebooted the laptop or computer anyways, and it seems to perform specifically as intended. The install was on a Dell running Windows 7 64-bit. Available RAM disk space, and energy are not the difficulties for the failure. The manufacturer may want to revisit the install disks and their driver downloads.Otherwise, when the driver install says it fails, just ignore the message and reboot anyways; all of the drivers and manage software installed no matter what it stated.

two DVI ports is specifically what I was looking for - both perform perfectly. No need to even install drivers on Windows 7 Professional - most recent ones come pre-loaded. Performance is pretty good so far. None that I've noticed so far. Solid card, significant amount of on-board RAM, There are extremely few 2 DVI port cards that aren't super bulky - if you are searching for one, and you don't necessarily need to overclock or want ridiculous gaming performance, just a 2 DVI monitor set, I'd suggest this one.

Plays DX9 games quite nicely. I play a lot of TF2. At 1920x1080 (no AA) and it's quite smooth even on the large 36 player servers. Fairly cool operation ࿘c under load), lower power consumption. I already want to upgrade this card. Starcraft two runs okay at 1920x1080, but most of the details have to be dialed back. I'm not surprised by this, just an observation. I know it would struggle with other DX10ቧ games. I had not had a decent pc for gaming because 2002, so I didn't feel I would get to into it like I did previously, thus the budget video card. Now that I'm reacquainted, I want a GTX 460 so I can truly get pleasure from the higher resolutions and additional particulars new games have to supply.

Works very good in sli.Says 90 day Step-up on box. 4.three on Windows Encounter Index.Won't honor 90 day Step-up. I bought two of these for my new Evga Classified SR-two program, so I could Step-up to GTX 470's or 480's in tri-sli soon after 90 days. When I registered them, it says "This item is not obtainable for Step-Up." When I asked them about it, they had been nice enough to offer you me three days in which to Step-up, and I had only had the cards 10 days. I guess I will be Stepping Up to MSI or Asus.

As a large benefit, the cost was correct, even 20 months ago when I bought the card. Operating on the initial spending budget PC I built with an Intel 8200 processor and 6 GB RAM, it has handled Globe of Warcraft on "Good" graphics detail even right after the Cataclysm four..3a patch (albiet putting out 20-30 FPS in busy areas). I would look at this outstanding performance from a budget card for nearly 2 years. None. This is still the ideal priced card in the Nvidia 9000 series, and a wonderful started. EVGA has not let me down yet. If you're looking at the 9600 or 9800, Stop! For the similar price you can pull in the subsequent gen 450 GTS.

I liked the cables and connectors included. I picked it over other people since of the 2-DVI and the decent price. Works properly with my dual monitors. Looks good. I was kinda bummed I did not get a case sticker. It may well appear type of petty but it is critical to me. I am positive it was not in the cd sleeve as noted on the box. have not testing on games but it appears to function fine for my use.

Cost is surely a good factor on this unit! 1 GB ddr2 - Dual Monitor support - Windows 7 Compatible!!!! Not high finish graphics card! Won't run high finish games to their fullest potential. Would advise for a mid to low end graphic program. Excellent for a dual monitor program and Hi def Television. Also good for SOME 3D gaming! If you want some thing stronger then you have to have to invest additional dollars! For the price - this card works excellent for my requirements - I use it as a dual monitor system to watch HD movies and Video files on a big screen Television.

Less expensive price. Doesnt get hot (not rapidly sufficient to make any heat) My old 8600GT with ddr3 blows this thing out of the water. Framerates on newer games are 30 to 100 frames with settings turned up. This thing is lucky to push 10 frames per second with all the settings down all the way. The 1 GB of memory is a waste when you cant turn any settings up, the most Ive ever utilized was 300 megs and that is with really unsatifactory framerates (resident evil 5 max is about 12fps. I am quite very disappointed in and I could of picked up yet another 8600 for less expensive. I have generally employed nvidia but my next card will probally be another manufacturer. On board graphics are only slightly worse so it was a waste of dollars

Really should have purchased an ATI with dual DVI. Had an nvidia card in my laptop and had the identical difficulty. I purchased this card as an upgrade from my cheapo ATI card that never crashed. Really should have learned my lesson with my initially nvidia card.

Works out of the box with my hackintosh construct. Paired with a GA-P55-USB3 mobo, and Intel i5 750 processor. Super speedy and in a position to power my two 1920x1080 monitors simultaneously although playing HD video no difficulty. When I applied the upgrade to osx 10.6.five it broke some stuff so I necessary to apply a DSDT file to get the graphics working nicely once more.

DurabilityValue ྲ months ago)Really low power consumptionGreat for mid-range gaming. At the time I bought it it was a superior deal, ุ, excellent for me, considering that I only required it for Blizzard games, not high end shooter/action games. It has held up strong, the fan is fairly fairly, though it is the loudest factor in my method now that I use an vertex LE ssd. Cost (now). I can\'t believe it expenses ฟ Additional now than 18 months ago. That is pretty crazy. This is not a high end card, don't anticipate it to be in a position to manage ultra settings except for older games (WoW is a 8 year old game, with a 3-year old facelift, naturally it will be fine for that). I see a lot of users not using an ssd as an OS/game drive. It matters, a lot. Difficult drives can be a enormous bottleneck in numerous circumstances in games. Starcraft two (a blockbuster game in beta) went from choppy on high settings to smooth on ultra setting when I put an ssd in, but only had this low-mid video card.If you are going to get an upgrade now, I'd recommend savings up and obtaining yourself a Vertex two, not a slightly faster video card.
