Generally, I agree with the other reviews and am very pleased with this device. The first unit I received was very flakey! But the unit was promptly and covered the shipping both ways - Thanks! With that kind of support I don't think you can go wrong.

Not all directions are correct. Had for about 2 weeks and updated maps. Used once and touch screen would not work. Shipped for repair. Otherwise seemed like a good unit when it was working. One occasion said address was on the right and was wrong as address was on the left.

I love the bluetooth integration, the FM transmitter, the audio out, the SD card, the MSN Direct (rocks). The maps need updating and afterwards still didn't seem terribly current. I also love all the POI, always seem to help choose a place to eat, get gas, etc. The kids love to change the voices and the regional settings to mess Dad up while he's driving. What can you do?

This is a great quality unit. Comes with 1 free map upgrade. The MSN traffic has been working GREAT in Southern Ontario. It very accurately predicts the upcoming traffic jams, and the directions it provides for detour save significant time. This is a MUST HAVE ITEM

MSN Direct w/new 2010 maps. Best of everthing! Online download of new maps was long (8 hours) but well worth the wait. My 680 NUVI came with everthing. The web-site said sold-out, I emailed them. They did have more for sale! What a unit!!! Just buy it while ya can... Thanks.!

The 680 worked right out of the box. I did however, after using it for 6 or so hours , down load the map update from Garmin . Now it has all the road names , even the back country roads , the hands free works great with my Motorola for voice calls but not for text messaging . great value and a great product . I am now going to get another one for my wife as the ease of use is fantastic ! ! !

I bought this unit refurb'd and it was a steal! I can't find it anywhere else! And, it was literally brand new! No problems (so far) and well worth it! I would highly recommend this to anyone.

This is my second Garmin purchase which now makes me a big fan. The name and the deep discounting here drew me to this product. I did a side-by-side comparison with several other models and this unit won hands down. Although it was a refurb unit, you surely couldn't tell. It was packaged like new, and there wasn't a single mark on the device or it's accessories. Pro's: Beautiful screen! Work's well in any lighting and can be seen from any angle in your vehicle. Calculates FAST. Easy programming. Good sound. Feature rich. Love the ability to do web updates right from my PC. Con's: Bulky power cord, although I understand that the antenna for MSN Direct is built into it. MSN Direct is nice, however this unit only get's about half of the content provided by MSN. I really wish it could receive weather maps. Power button requires a full 2 second depress to turn on - seems lengthy and awkward. Overall, I am very pleased with this unit, and I would buy it again

I have been using this unit for about 1 month now on a daily basis. I am so happy with this model, I travel allot in my car for my job and having blue tooth on this unit is great allowing me to talk hands free through my units speaker or the FM radio with one push of a button. Other features i am excited to have is the MP3 player and the photo capabilities. MSN Direct is super for navigating past traffic congestion. I bought this as a refurbished unit and I have to say it works and looks brand new. Overall this is a great value.

The one feature that the 680 does not have that I wish it did, is the ability to send saved or googled locations wirelessly. You can load then via USB. Otherwise I am very pleased with it as well as the one year free subscription to MSN Direct.

Great GPS ! I bought this, then took a road trip out west! I don't know how I would have got by without it! VERY satisfied! GREAT FEATURES ! MSN DIRECT FREE FOR 1 whole year! After the year is up, I will definitely be buying the lifetime update! MSN puts this over the top! The added info on Food and Lodging, and attractions....Too many benifits to list! This is a GREAT GPS ! Can't say enough!

This unit has already in the first month I have owned it, made itself very useful. I was able to give it to my mother when she came to visit. I preprogrammed all of the locations for her and she was able to get everywhere on time and without calling me a 1000 times. POI's need updating, but it could be worse.

I love my Garmin 680 GPS. My father had one already and I got it here, refurbished, for about half the cost. If you are worried about buying a refurbished product ever, don't. If they didn't tell you it was a refurb, you wouldn't know. Pros: Great turn-by-turn directions. Big screen. Bluetooth is cool and speaker is clear and plenty loud for a phone conversation. I haven't kicked on the MSN Direct subscription yet, but I will and know it's pretty cool. I haven't put any music on it yet, but I will and I like the fact that you can do that really easily with an SD card. Cons: It doesn't show the speed limit like some other models (like my fiance's 255), and that is a neat feature, but you don't NEED it. It also doesn't show the icon for what kind of turn you will be making next like some models do. (ie. an icon that symbolizes "veer left" or "right turn") However, the voice says it, and you can click on the top of the screen for it to say it anytime you w

The refurbished unit offers good value and appears to function as advertised. I have updated everything off the Garmin website [a lengthy process] but the Canadian maps are not as up-to-date as I would like and I did not expect to have to pay an on-going fee to obtain more current mapping.

My Nuvi arrived sooner than expected, by three days. It was literally up and running in five minutes. Aside from tweaking and some programming I was ready to navigate really, really quick. I live in Texas and I took it to Idaho and back, and it performed flawlessly. With Microsoft Direct it alerted me to most construction and accidents. Pinpointing where the problem was in relation to me and I just touched one button and Garmin would tell me how to avoid it. I am 66 years old and I thought the technology would be difficult for me to master, however it was so simple even a cave man could do it!!!

Looked like a new unit right out of the box. MP3, jpeg, bluetooth, FM transmitter all work great, haven't tried MSN yet. Have a problem with one address in the database though, the address it displays and the address it has me drive to are 2 different places, so far all other look good. One big draw back that I can tell, the Canadian maps are very outdated, easily over 5 years old. They really need to be updated. I know the Canadian market is not as big as the US, but if you say it has the latest North American maps, it should. The last time I checked Canada was in North American, or does the data base vendors know something I don't (part of the free tade thing?). LOL. And yes I have all the latest software and maps too. By the way expect to spend about 4 hours getting all the latest update, and that was with a 3 MB, DSL line, but it goes update very easily. Great value overall. For some reason my Audio vrs started at 1.9 updated to 2.3 then reverted to 1.8 but says it's up to date?

I bought this a month ago. It was a great deal. I got it refurbished. Once I got it, I logged into Garmin and downloaded the 2010 Maps for it free. Then went to MSN and got a 1 year subscription to MSN content for free as well. I think Garmin offers a lifetime maps subscription & so does MSN (each around $120ish).

Can't find a comparable unit for this price. Bluetooth speakerphone, mp3 player, fm transmitter all work well. Not much memory for mp3s, so order a flash card, they're cheap! If you have hearing problems,(like my dad) you may want to find a better speakerphone, but it's great for me. Msn direct info. is not available in all areas, but it's free anyway. I only get weather, no gas, traffic, etc. Overall a good buy for the price.
