GARMIN nüvi 680 4.3" GPS Navigation

Looked new to me! Much simpler to use than my 2610, has some new features but lacks some of the features of the 2610, i.e., vehicle speed and time to next turn during programmed trip, screen too bright at night, some maps have errors, too many steps to get back to map page if you're making adjustments. I would like to have the option of the "birds eye view" with North up, I like the internal battery, the delayed turnoff and the light weight, especially for windshield mounting.

really good product, updated the map to the 2010 version with no problems, connected to the MSN Direct at once, what more can you ask for? Picking up the sats, took a whole 10 seconds during the first use, but the sky was perfectly clear (that may be a problem I guess). I'd say that before using it you should do the full updates, it took more than an hour, but it was worth the time. The 2010 NA map is free until the end of August this year, so why not take advantage... Can I recommend a spell check SW for the peeps here?

Well designed and really useful. The MSN Direct feature is a surprising bonus - local movie times, weather forecast, traffic delays. 'Refurbished' looks as new to me, so a fantastic bargain. I don't know how I ever got by without it!

I purchased this for my girlfriend because she gets lost going to Walmart, Only 5 blocks away... (Just kiddin' HONEY) MANY, MANY, Features, Did I mention that it has alot of FEATURES? I was even able to find a phone number for my Veterinary Clinic. Who needs 1141 anymore?

has a lot of nice features and the bluetooth works very well. navigation needs a little updating and it needs the alternative route thing.

The product is excelent, I recomended to many of may friends that now use it. Some of the probles I encouter: adhesive is not strong enough for the weight of the product, succion cub doenot work well, unable to locate many destinations.

Bot the Garmin 680 , the refurb unit. I could not tell it was anything other than brand new. It was packaged as new and included all of the accessories. Performance is excellent, it made one mistake that I have not figured out, wanting to turn right when I knew the proper way was left but recalculated immediately. I recommend it highly.

Bought this for my wife since she travels extensively. All I can say is that she loves it and only has a few complaints. One is that the bluetooth mic is to sensitive and pics up roadnoise making it hard to talk & hear. Secondly, the routes chosen are not always the best or quickest. After saying that, this is our firts GPS and it's not like she will read the instructions, that's my job I understand.

I love it! big screen, many features, rapid to recalculate... the only thing is that I would prefer it to tell me which lane to drive. Otherwise, it is the best!

Product arrived packaged as 'refurb' but the case was loose and the LCD screen had a huge gap along the bottom. Went to register it with Garmin and they reported it as 'still in use in the field'. Dont know how that happend but I am in the process of exchanging it . Other than that it worked fine, just had a major cosmetic defect.

I bought the Garmin 680 based on the review. I took it out and set it up in no time. I also saw in no time that it was missing a major expressway close to my home. This unit no longer receives free map updates as it is discontinued. If you need current maps find another product. The bluetooth and MP3 player work well.

I'm very pleased with my purchase. For the most part, it works great and has all the features I was looking for. On the downside, it can take a little long to find satellites when the car is moving. Overall, very happy...

Went to the store, bought it, went home and I installed the browser plugin from Garmin and then Garmin updated the operating system and the free map update! Works perfectly! Plus you get one year of MSN with it! You get traffic updates, gas price close by, movie schedule and weather forecast! Bluetooth with my Blackberry! Awesome toy for the car!

I looked aroud for about 1 year and finaly made the 680 my choice. It works great and you just cant beat the price.Yes you could get another grade up but how much do you realy need to do with your GPS.

This unit came in brand new, not even the cables or the plastic bags everything came in were used. My wife has needed a bluetooth hands free to go on the military base and this came along. Works great as a hands free and the large screen and typical Garmin quality in GPS functions makes me jealous with my older Garmin 200. It came with the cable to downlooad all the updates and hnewest maps free opf charge via computer and that was a snap too! It had to be a new unit, no kidding!

We have used the Garmin 680 several times since we purchased, and are amazed every time with its accuracy. We also enjoy the FM tuner as we have downloaded several songs to play on our car radio. What a great product for the price.

This thing is great! The MP3 player is great as well! Got a 8 gig SD card and have tons of songs on it. I was amazed by the accuracy and the MSN stuff is a great little feature I didn't even know I was getting. 12 months free?! Can't beat that...

This is a refurbished model, and it works wonderfully. My wife is using it in Toronto, and loves it. As a real estate agent, she's never without it now. I used one last year in England and France, and it magically transported me down country lanes and unmarked streets.

I think my GPS came in new. Everything packed as like factory. I love it. It works well. It only took me 8 hours to down load the new map. The blue tooth workinng very well. The GPS also took the phone book data from my phone. Only the flip out antenna is the draw back. It looks like I can break it off easily.

I received my GPS the other say, and have done a little testing with it. It works great. Not all the MSN Direct features work in my area, even though the map showed they did. Also having a bit of a problem with finding a clean FM station for receiption. It is quick to recalculate a new route when I make an unexpected turn Some of the voices were hard to understand, but I found some that work well. The arm for connecting it to the windscreen is short, and on my van that became an issue. The unit is in like new condition, couldn't tell it is refurbished. Over all it is a great unit, and would recommend it to anyone.
