I got this board with AMD Athlon II X2 240 CPU, Combo Deal. The only thing this board doesn't have that someone might want on HTPC is Infra Red remote support.I installed this board and CPU in an Athenatech A100BB Chassis, fit like they made for each other. I have IDE DVD drive, 1 SATA Hdd, and 1 IDE Hdd, the BIOS automatically sets IDE Hdd as Drive 0. This really is not a problem, just makes my primary SATA drive as drive D in Windows, and my secondary IDE drive is drive C. I have been using this setup connected to my Panasonic Viera Plasma TV with HDMI connection and connected to a Sony Reciever with optical audio (Toslink), for about a month now. Boots up fast, works perfectly. Mine is always on for instant use, stays cool and quiet. Thanks Again

Great bargain with tons of features. Bad part was trying to upgrade gradually. Wanted to use a 2 year old ide hdd but this board would have none of it. Bios and boot menu were no help at all - if it see's a ide device it will take at least 5 min to boot and it will always try to boot it no matter your preference setting. Wasn't a huge deal - got a new sata hdd and dvd for under 100 combined. Used an older machine to xmit files to a usb drive. Fair warning - that ide port is just for looks. Otherwise fantastic board with more options than my wallet can take. For the money this board is a steal.

This board was purchased for a build for my kids. It was simple and easy. It has all the basics for everyday computing. Love the quality and the price.

Good motherboard for the money. Didn't need to update the BIOS yet. No additional graphics card needed for drawing and graphics programs. Good performance. Get an adapter for the 8 pin connector if you are using your old power supply.

The Bios screen is the only thing that worked.I plugged in a SATA drive already formatted with Windows XP and it would not load. I sent it back.

I bought this MB with an AMD Athlon II X2 245 2.9Ghz AM3 CPU and 4 Gigs of OCZ Reaper Dual Channel 4GB PC8500 DDR2 Memory, it's a great combination and easy setup. Gigabyte offered excellent tech support.

This board posted fine, and booted as expected. After 4 restarts (loading updates and drivers) it died. No post, no nothing except the cpu fan ran. This retailer is great, they took the board back and I went back to ASUS with the same features only THEY WORK! Thanks!

first mobo bios post disappeared after several starts. Replacement did exactly the same thing. Getting mobo from different mfg.

Very good mother board, it has problems detecting my SATA drives.I had to set to IDE to load my OS.

Had to use IDE DVD to get driver CD to load backup utility. Installed OS off SATA DVD drive, wouldn't boot driver CD to install backup utility, worked fine with IDE DVD.

had an essue with bios, to use the CPU that I chose to use need a dif rev then the board shipped with, it came with rev f2, I needed rev f4. had a problem heyying the bios to up grade. It is running very good. Doing more then I expected. I would recomend the board to any one.

Really nice board. New build with Win 7 no problems at all. A lot of nice features on this board. Wanted to replace two socket 939's boards. This is the best one I have built. Bought with a combo. Best way to purchase.

built a new pc off this board with no issues (well, a couple of little goofs of my own like forgetting to hook up the actual board's power plug - oops). running xp pro and it's been plenty stable for about a month now. one of the big things i needed was more than 2 sata headers as i had 3 drives to install. this board met that requirement (it has 5) along with a number of other features that make this board a solid deal with room for future growth if needed.

Great MB but beware that the Hybrid Crossfire option is not available unless you use Vista even though the manual states it also works with XP. Everything else works as advertised.

I purchased this board with a CPU combo. It's an excellent board with a very good manual and plenty of options. I had it up and running in 15 minutes. The motherboard driver CD gives you the option of INSTALL ALL or INDIVIDUAL, I would recommend INDIVIDUAL if you do not want to install some of the not needed programs on the CD. All in all I am very happy with this board and would buy again.

So far I am pleased with this mortherboard. It's a good value with plenty of features. The only thing keeping it from getting 5 stars is an issue with the RAM that might have been my own mistake when reading the specifications. I spent quite a bit of time trying to get this MB to boot, and after looking up known issues, the ENTIRE problem was the RAM. This motherboard cannot run even ONE 1024MB OCZ DDR2 PC2 8500 2.1V chip. I was using a 500W power supply, and the only things that would turn on were the fans. All I had to do was change RAM to a 1.9V.
