I'm a noob - this was my first build. No problems at all and I like the Easy Tune feature for tweaking system.

Great for the price but be sure to.......
Comment:
Well this is my first built PC. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to build your own PC. But the instructions never mentioned that in order to power up the board you need to plug power from the power supply into the 8-pin 12 volt near the CPU. But the power supply never had an 8-pin. I ran into some serious frustration when I tried to boot this thing up! Luckily I took initiative and plugged the 4-pin into the 8 pin! Wow! Who ever would have thought that you could use a 4-pin in an 8-pin. I never did. The instructions never mentioned that ugh! Well lucky for me I did just that and got it up and running. The CPU on this thing kicks butt! No complaints! I can now run software that would barely run on my old ASUS mother board. Very happy with this product.

Great mobo
Comment:
This gigabyte motherboard is awesome and have overclocked the onboard graphics a little and it works perfect and runs all my older games great, the only thing you would have to adjust is the clock speed of the gpu which had my phenom x4 at 1ghz which can be fixed by raising the multiplier

Works but was damaged before shipping.
Comment:
While i was lucky and the board worked, i didnt think it was going to when i got it. The vga, dvi, and keyboard port was bent back and the motherboard was bent on that edge at a 30degree angle. with a little bending back i got the board to fit and surprisingly it worked. just had issues with xp booting and installing because of sata not being in IDE mode

Terrific deal and functionality
Comment:
With a Phenom II 955, Windows 7 Pro went on without so much as a hiccup. Drivers all installed in a single pass with the CD. For my purposes, I couldn't be happier. I also use Gigabyte boards for server 2008 and sql server 2008. Goodbye Asus and MSI.

Simple and affordable

I recieved my Gigabyte Mobo and AMD cpu bundle at around 5:00 in the evening. I handed it over to my 17 year old son and he had it up and running by 7:00 and it has performed well ever since. It is a good medium level bundle. If you want a good value and don't need upper end speed this combo will do the job.

Fabulous --- everything works !
Comment:
First build in several years and the first from this mfg. Instructions are excellent and the install went smoothly. All features are working and the utility for checking temps and voltage are nice. Overclocking isn't necessary for my apps. Power management is great. W7 at 64 bit runs smooth with 4gb of RAM.

Awesome performance and excellent upgrade
Comment:
If you are upgrading or building a computer from the ground up, I highly recommend this. Purchased this in the packaged deal and I cannot believe the difference this has made.Easy installation with maybe an hour and half in time to install.I am running it as I speak.Had to call customer support to verify one question I had and they did just that. 2 thumbs up!The performance of this combination package is easily worth the money and I have had no problems.

Great Replacement for Pavilion a6650f MB M2N68LA
Comment:
Had an HP Pavilion a6650f with no video output. This motherboard allowed me to keep the processor (CPU), CPU heat sink with fan, RAM, case, hard drive, and operating system with only MB chip set and driver updates to windows. Was drop in replacement with exception of front panel audio jacks and internal speaker. Screws lined up perfectly. Needed to replace the power supply with 500 watt or better power supply. Used the Ultra LSP550 with great results.

Pretty fly for integrated graphics
Comment:
Gonna sound silly, but I could run Half-Life 2 without a hitch on full settings just using the integrated HD 4200 integrated graphics processor, along with a Phenom II x2 and 2 Gigs of RAM. Also, the dual BIOS should be handy if the main one were to ever go out. All in all, doesn't hurt to try it. On top of that, nice that there's Firewire built-in, and expansions for more.

Good Combo
Comment:
I now have two of these Motherboards, one for another family member and mine. Good pricing and excellent board with the Black Box Phenom II 550 x 4. Gigabyte is one of my favorite products and I have stuck with them for several years now.

Great board for the money

Not a hitch setting it up, except when I plugged the sound into the wrong jack. Vista found all the drivers, I didn't have to do anything but plug everything in. I am impressed with Gigabyte.

Execellent Board
Comment:
On board chip set is great, fast easy to put in my tower had enough slots for basic things and the dual bio's worth it. Only down side is that everything is kinda close to make it a tight fit when you start filling all the slots up.

4 or 8 pin power & lotsa features
Comment:
POSTed perfectly first time with 4G RAM and 955 Phenom II. Fast WinXP boot times but longer to shutdown. Wonder why? Was surprised to find that 4 pin power works as well as 8 pin so I now have an extra PS. May use the old 4 pin PS to build another system with a sibling of this board... ;-) Lotsa features, including 1394 header for my old case. Didn't try RAID. HDMI video quality is great but I'm struggling to get sound to my new HDMI monitor. That may be a monitor problem, not this MB. 4 pin sys fan header actually works as PWM fan despite what the manual says. But I found better cooling in my tight case by using a PWM case fan which connects to CPU PWM fan & runs proportional to CPU fan. I dislike the Gbyte overclocking and HW monitoring software compared to other vendors, but it will suffice. Overall I'd recommend this MB for folks who want a good general purpose board feature rich with moderate overclocking ability.

Great motherboard
Comment:
I found this motherboard to be excellent. The manual was well written and explained all the connections very clearly. It's the small details I like for example the connections for the case controls were clearly colour coded so hook up was simple.

Not made well
Comment:
Does not work with sata hard drives. BIOS Required files do not exist on CD and instructions are all wrong in manual. Worst purchase of my life!
