Can't beat the power to price ratio.
Comment:
I know there is more power out there, I just can't imagine needing it.

who needs cutting-edge?
Comment:
This chip seems gratifyingly fast & powerful after upgrading from an old 3GHz Pentium 4. It's also amazingly cool- I can run the new computer more quietly than the old, despite it being WAY more powerful & having 4 times the RAM. Hard to think of a reason to spend more for a Core i7. The packaging is marginal, though- the flimsy carboard box appeared to have fallen off a truck.

Intel Core i5-750 2.66GHz LGA 1156 95W Quad-Core Processor
Cons:i can't find any except for maybe 4 threads instead of 8 from an i7 920

Pros:great price for a great processor
Comment:
what a great processor. I feel sorry for amd fans which I hvae been since the days of the athlons. I can't help but think that the 965BE still doesn't compete with this chip even though the price diff is rarely greater than $10. I price matched this at $199 and at the time the 965s were going for 205 at the cheapest. The processor is a steal at that price and since the lga 1156 boards are so cheap, this processor makes a great deal of sense when compared to the i7 920.

Teamed with the Asus P7P55D Pro Motherboard it worked great. Popped it in. Smeared on the thermal paste and mounted the fan. Up the first time and have not looked back.

Simple to do a mild Turbo mode overclock. Set 150 MHz BCLK to get 3.15MHz with 4 cores active, 3.6 with 1 core active. Took 5 minutes to set up.

Amazing CPU!
Comment:
The value of this CPU is amazing. Out of the box it is fast, Blazing fast! Having the very easy overclocking ability gives it a nice boost too! The new i-series processors from Intel dominate! Highly recommended!

Intel Core i5-750 2.66GHz LGA 1156 95W Quad-Core Processor
Cons:none

Pros:Great value, great price, works as it should, OC's easily
Comment:
Got this on sale, was going to build a cheap Quad core 775, but with this, the asus board and the ram on sale it was the same price as the 775 and a much better value, very happy with the performance and the OC ability. would definitely recommend.

Easy Overclock
Comment:
I overclocked the 750 I purchased to 3.6 with almost no other adjustments.I'm sure I could easily hit 4.0 but for my needs there is no need to go further.

GREAT PCU
Comment:
Super fast. For the cost, best deal on high end processors. medium amount of overclocking and have not seen it go above 50% capacity. Great Buy. Dont waste your money on cheap AMD processors when you can do so much more with this for practically the same cost.

Best Performance for Value
Comment:
Budget priced, but does not wimper in performance AT ALL. Got it when it was 199 dollars CDN with free shipping and Paypal cashback. Photoshop's got nothing on this CPU. At 215 dollars, it's still the best value for the performance you're getting. Overclockable easily to faster speeds than some of the i7

Haven't been able to exercise the full CPU power yet. For all business functions, internet streaming and publishing work it is very quick. I expect video preparation will tax the processor

Cons:none at this price

Pros:Price performance
Comment:
This is highly recommended because of its performance price ratio. Works great and the difference between i5 and i7 is not as huge as the price difference

Built a very nice budget machine.
Comment:
Some friends asked me to build them a budget computer. I used this CPU and skimped a bit on everything else and it turned out very nice. Solid, quick and so far very reliable. This site was the best price at the time. Regular delivery was very fast (3 days). I would use this chip again. Nice performance for price. Four star for performance probably not because of the chip. Only 2 gig of ram installed.

Intel Core i5-750 2.66GHz LGA 1156 95W Quad-Core Processor
Cons:None to speak of

Pros:Price vs competition is very attractive
Comment:
For the most part I am very happy with this purchase. The processor runs extremely cool. Upgrading from my previous AMD 4400+ X2 has showed a large improvement in game performance, however I haven't noticed any difference in everyday performance for browsing or opening programs. This may be an issue with me still using XP. Intel Core i5-750 2.66GHz LGA 1156 95W Quad-Core Processor
Cons:- None

Pros:- Cost/quality- Run cool- Lots of room for overclocking on air
Comment:
I bought this CPU for my newest built. I usually go with AMD but this time wanted to go back to Intel as this processor on sale was too good to pass. It's an amazing processor and runs everything you throw it it. It overclocks beatifully on air and even with the crappy heatsink provided (better upgrade to an after market one as the stock one is really ridiculous!). Overall great piece of hardware and much recommended over the current AMD quad cores.
