What a dream to overclock
Comment:
Great processor, does a pretty good job of keeping up with my i7 920 at 3.8ghz. Overclocking was a breeze!!! Only had one BSOD the whole time and have it cranked up to 3.6 ghz with a super quiet air cooler. When the processor would start to need more voltage, the system would just bog down real slow, didn't crash, just stop the stress testing, add some voltages, and re-test, the entire process from stock to 3.6 only took me about an hour, couldn't be happier.

Impressive!!!
Comment:
This chip is a perfect pairing with the motherboard that I have and it over-clocks amazingly easily. I have had success with keeping this CPU stable at both 3.6GHZ and 3.8GHZ using my specific board at just slightly higher than stock voltages using a CPU cooler with dual fans arranged in a Push-Pull configuration. 4.0GHZ was also stable but did result in temperatures too high for my cooling solution to control over long periods of time. I am sure 4.0GHZ could be easily run using a water-cooling setup however. This CPU gets no complaints from me!

Intel Core i5-750 2.66GHz LGA 1156 95W Quad-Core Processor
Cons:Not much can be said

Pros:FastGood price.
Comment:
The stock heatsink is useless if you want to overclock this. I replaced it with an after market HSF and was able to overclock it to 4GHz. This processor is extremely fast and while playing games online with people I'm able to load the stages before everyone else. If you don't need hyperthreading or triple channel DDR3 this is the processor to get.

Best bang for the buck so far
Comment:
This CPU is super fast, it's faster than the i7 920. Turbo boost definitely helps when you overclock. Best value for under $200.

Nice CPU but had to return it for one that worked
Comment:
When I installed the original i5 in my MOBO, the BIOS recognized only 2 of the 4 GB of RAM installed. I called Corsair, and we figured out that it must be the memory controller which is built into the chip since only one particular slot on the MOBO worked, irregardless of which stick of RAM was inserted. they gave me my RMA number and sent me out a new chip which did work.

Great Chip
Comment:
Its a great overclocker and has enough speed to avoid being the bottleneck of any system. Produces less heat than the i7s (no hyper threading), and does not lose out on too much performance (or barely any). With DDR3 prices dropping, it is cheap a cheap and great upgrade (less than $450)

Intel Core i5-750 2.66GHz LGA 1156 95W Quad-Core Processor
Cons:Stock HSF is weak

Pros:Fast, quad core
Comment:
This is a terrific mid to high budget CPU. If the price is right it's definitely worth it; it's a very popular product and tried-and-tested by many and withstood test of time. I recommend an aftermarket HSF: it doesn't have to be expensive, e.g. Arctic Cooling Freezer Pro Rev. 2 is inexpensive, cools better, and most important: quieter.

Intel Core i5-750 2.66GHz LGA 1156 95W Quad-Core Processor
Cons:Price maybe

Pros:Performanceover clocking
Comment:
I've had this for 2 months now and I am very impressed with this chip. It is very fast even without over clocking. Has great technology such as sel over clocking (intel turbo boost) and power saving technologies that underclock ur cpu when its on idle to save power, plus the stock voltage is quite low! I've only over clocked it to 3.0ghz y 1.114 volt (to get my RAM to run at 1600mhz and proper timings) and it runs very nicely. It is pretty much an i7 WITHOUT hyper threading and is about 130 mhz slower on base clock and 200 mhz slower at max turbo boost.

Very nice CPU for $180.00
Comment:
This i5 is the i7's little brother, and it is plenty fast. Skip paying the extra $100 for the i7, and use the money for a better graphics card or motherboard. You won't notice the difference in performance. Check the review sites online, and you'll see that the i5 is always in the top 3 performing CPUs. And the best part is it handles overclocking like a champ. I've gotten a stable 3.24 GHz OC for more than 8 hours running prime95. This purchase is a no-brainer!

Intel Core i5-750 2.66GHz LGA 1156 95W Quad-Core Processor
Cons:Not cheapest quad core out there

Pros:Fast, runs cool
Comment:
First thing I did was dispose of the heatsink provided. That thing was tiny! I put a Hyper N520 in place of it.Runs pretty cool. Great CPU for a gamer that's on a budget, like myself as a student. Overall I love this CPU.

Intel Core i5-750 2.66GHz LGA 1156 95W Quad-Core Processor
Cons:not the cheapest quad core on the market

Pros:Decent price performance
Comment:
This is a nice cpu for a casual gamer build. Plenty of power and not super expensive. As a midrange cpu, it's not crippled like other budget quads, but it's definitely not top end either.I can definitely notice a difference between this cpu (at stock) vs my q6600's (at stock)
