Runs fantastic. Awesome processor for the value and can manage anything I've been capable to throw at it. None No L1 or L2 cache. If you consider you need to have it don't get this processor.

runs well, installed with no issues, runs cooler than the i7 possibly not as highly effective as the i7 got this for a new personal computer I was making, installed no difficulty, booted up 1st time. I employed a 3rd celebration cooler, so I don't know how the stock cooler performs.

Great Intel quad core processor. This i5 was 100 bucks much less than the extremely related two.8 i7 selection. Runs wonderful, No difficulties; pared with EVGA P55 LE and Zalman CNPS 9900MAX. Runs 23 c idle and 35 c when gaming!!! No OC at this time but possibly soon! Low power consumption Came with small Heatsink fan combo so if you game it might not be the very best but I have heard that they cool fairly properly even with the tiny size, so this isn't seriously that much of a con. Great worth, comparable to the AMD phenome two.8 and i7 two.8 in value(amd becoming more affordable and i7 being more $) but with significantly less power consumption than either.

Smooth play of BFBC2, which I hear is CPU demanding. I was coming off a AMD 940 quad, which was a beast and nevertheless is, but I merely wanted DDR3, as the 940 is AM2. Process is considerably much more snappier. I pushed this child for hours and she hasn't skipped a beat. Becoming cooled by a Zalman 900. Superb CPU. i7-960-970 all dropped in value...ARRGGHH. That was my original program, but couldn't see why I would pay an added 200.00 for a chip not significantly more rapidly. Now the value drops. I really like the Computer planet. I won't be updating for awhile, even though Sandy Bridge and Bulldozer are all coming. This CPU stayed under 40 degrees right after a number of hours of demanding game play and she stays cool. content with my obtain. Really speedy! Have however to slow this factor down!A large step up from my core2duo 6850 The supplied heat sink and fan is essentially worthless.. Will use it for a client's computer system in the future.Would've gladly refused it if that was an alternative.. Wonderful CPU for wonderful price. It's a "true" quad core so the highest range of the i5's. You conserve a bunch of dollars over the i7's and nonetheless get something great.Plus, Intel and all that.... Nope. I employed the stock fan that everyone is complaining about and it seems fine to me. I barely hit 50C when playing WoW (I also have four case fans though). I place this in a ASUS P7P55D-E and it functions good.(compatible with Ubuntu ten.ten 64 bit in case everyone is maintaining score...)

- Overclocks easily to 4.+ GHZ- Cost- Stays generally cool - Stock heat sink is poop This undesirable boy is a noticeable improvement over my e8400. Games run much quicker, CS5 is a lot far more enjoyable. I am running this on the Gigabyte P55 board with a 212+ (push/pull) and under no circumstances see this issue go more than 70c. I know you're saying that's of warm but this is rated to go significantly greater, and with proper cooling you won't reach that limit.

I decided to obtain this core more than the Core two Quad due to speeds as properly as value. This thing is a beast. I have but to hit 100 percent cpu load throughout typical taskings. And for the duration of compiles/ renders this issue is fast. Also runs quietly. None None

Great product, inexpensive, and reputable. Good to overclock tends to make it run like my other with i7. Obtain an additional cpu cooler!!!! The a single that comes with this is so so and would likely operate if you don't overclock. Considering that most gamers overclock purchase a much better cooler. Had to 1 egg off mainly because of this. Fantastic

Very quickly! It keeps cool and I just like it. I didn't feel it would be this fast. The only con I have had is when it beneath clocked itself in CMOS. I think it is Intel's version of Speedstep. Effortless fix even though. Very best processor that I could have purchased at the time.

Though outdated, if you are forced into the 1156 socket this is very encouraged. Hasn't let me down yet! I'd advise receiving a low-cost ฮ aftermarket cooler such as Hyper 212+ due to the fact the normal one particular is really tiny. It will preserve the temps below the suggested maximum, although. The Intel i5-760 LGA1156 processor. Particularly impressed with performance for price tag. Scored 7.four on Windows 7 scale. Competes well against other i7 processors. However, the stock heat sink that comes with this method is ridiculously tiny. If you plan on purchasing any of these new Intel processors, I advise that you do not use the stock heat sink Nonetheless, the stock heat sink that comes with this procedure is ridiculously tiny. RapidlyRuns Cool For MeSupplied Heatsink was adequate No Hyperthreading (I didn't care personally)No on chip Graphics (Again, I didn't care due to the fact I wouldn't have applied that feature) This is the initial Intel processor that I've purchased in a extended, long time (Pentium II was the final a single I owned). I liked the worth of this specific model and I'm extremely pleased with the 30C temps when not loaded and mid 40C's when operating a complete load. I do not overclock my processors, so the supplied Heatsink & Fan function great. Windows 7 and applications run super smoothly on the new system. I'm extremely pleased.

Quad-core. Intel. Quickly. It runs relatively quiet in comparison to my old Q9300. Smaller heat sink. See other thoughts. Bought this for my sister's build. She runs simple programs: office, The Sims 3, internet browsing, and the occasional music and video right here and there. I don't over-clock so there is no need to worry about keeping the cpu really cool. Thinking of finding 1 for my future build or perhaps an upgrade.
