I've had it up to four.2ghz but only stable at around four.1ghz so far, got a win 7 rating of 7.five.extremely powerful. Don't will need to run it that quickly so I backed down! Also almost doubled my cpu score in 3dmark06. none but we generally want additional. Got to get a greater video card, working with a 7900gs, program is quickly and smooth as it is though! My e7200 wasn't slow at 4ghz but this thing just flies in nero vision encoding dvd. I got a 7. rating in win 7 rating with it!

QuicklyQuad CoreClocked to four.2 GHz with easeUhhh... It's not... Round? What else do you want from a CPU? I knew the stock cooler was terrible, so I went straight for an aftermarket.Uhhh. I wish it could be less costly? I like this bad boy. I do'nt notice a SUPER DUPER Amazing distinction from my two.93 Core2Duo, but I do commend it on it's multitasking capacity.

Nice shipping as usual. CPU runs nicely and at low temps even while gaming for hours. I don't especially advocate employing intel's provided heatsink and fan, and it is worth mentioning that I am utilizing an aftermarket 1. None.

Cons:None

Pros:Very efficient, powerfull cpu
Comment:
The extra .14ghz is definly worth it if you're going to overclock. But still the price difference is so little. Also i recommend upgrading to a better cpu cooler, the one in the box isn't very efficient.

Pros:Runs fairly Cool and Half desent price

So far so good. Runs very stable and the turbo boost works like it should. It could stand to be a little less expensive, but shouldn't they all. I would buy again.I am using mine with a mini ITX Zotac noard with 8 gigs of RAM to run Ableton Live and a bunch of audio apps. It dosn't even go past 30%. Use an SSD and you will have a super fast machine. Gotta love it!

Intel Core i5-760 2.8GHz LGA 1156 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:None that I have seen thus far.

Pros:Very fast, nice multitasking
Comment:
Excellent CPU especially for the price. Runs anything I throw at it with ease and I am just running it at stock speeds. Most of the time due to the lack of quad core support with most applications it runs at 3.2 in turbo clock instead of the stock 2.8. Even coupled with an older 9800GT it still flies in games.

Pros:Can be a damn good gaming chip

My i5 is overclocked to 4 ghz, 20x200 l 1.3vcore. The HIGHEST temp i ever saw thus far was 45 degrees. its cooled by my h70, and this cpu PWNS everything. My friends with i7's cant keep up. their chips run l 55+ and slow down even at the same GHZ, while mine keeps on truckin.Cant go wrong, its a great deal

Intel Core i5-760 2.8GHz LGA 1156 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:none for the moment

Pros:Great CPU, can't get much better for the price. Overclocked it real quick to 4.1 without even breaking a sweat. Doesnt go over 70C under 100% load for over 1 hour. On normal settings i get temps around 26-28C with load temps of 38C. Runs any game on full settings without ever rlly having to work at all.
Comment:
All in all is a great CPU for the price. Strongly suggest

Pros:Compared to what I had before - awesome!
Comment:
Paired with an Asus p7p55 LX with 8gb dual channel RAM it performs extremely well at stock settings. My favourite flight sim is smooth with full graphics. YAY! With no need to overclock, the under-achieving heat-sink is not a factor for me. For my $194 I'm extremely satisfied.

Intel Core i5-760 2.8GHz LGA 1156 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:It can get pretty warm, but that's mainly because of the stock cooler, which isn't that great.

Pros:Very fast.Takes anything I throw at it.
Comment:
Overall, I'm very satisfied with this CPU. I had no problems with it whatsoever as I installed it in my new system. I upgraded from an E6400 Core 2 Duo and it made a huge difference. This thing coupled with my new RAM cut half the time it takes to start up Windows and it also runs any game on max flawlessly. The only nitpick is that I have to get an aftermarket cooler so that I can OC it in the future, but that doesn't keep it from losing a star. 5/5

Intel Core i5-760 2.8GHz LGA 1156 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor
Cons:Stock heatsinkSecond place to sandy bridge

Pros:PriceOverclockableproven bang for buck
Comment:
Awesome processor bought at a great price. It is a proven choice with great overclocking abilities. Stock heatsink leaves something to be desired. Now that sandy bridge is out it comes second place, but the competitive products at the price this was purchased at are locked for overclocking. Would have to spend an extra approx $50 to get a good clocking sandy bridge chip. Still a great chip if the price is right.

Cons:None that I can find.

Pros:Stability, speed and overall quality.
Comment:
My last build was a Phenom II X3 and after numerous strange events, I decided to go back to Intel. My reward has been a fast and very stable build. I tried the stock HSF just to see if it was as bad as everyone says - it is. Save yourself some time and temperature, and go for an after-market solution.

Best price/performance imo. Runs all games great. Overclocks nicely with good temperatures. It was also very easy to overclock. Had a bit of trouble with the corsair cooler, but all went well in the end. Definitely a big upgrade over my AMD Opteron.

nice quad core for sons gamer build.overclocked to 4.01 ghz, 191x21,eist on, c states on limited to c3.1.288 v to keep stable on msi p55a board, runs s1.265v after droop.never gets above 60 deg full load on intel burn test with coolit eco arc in push exhaust setup.sits s34-36 idling.super fast 95 watt cpu when clocked at 4gig ripps through every game and app very quickly, really good bang for the buck.

Intel Core i5-760 2.8GHz LGA 1156 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor
Cons: A bit more expensive than AMD CPU but for the speed/quality vs price ratio, it's a must have.

Pros: Fast, can be used as a cpu for gaming, stable and no overheating.
Comment:
This processor can be used for an office/internet use as well as for gaming with latest game. Of course you won't get the same performance as an I7 CPU but for the price, it's a good deal. For gaming, you might consider the I7 950 CPU which is about 300$.

Picked this up for my first build and couldn't be happier with it. Got it for $200 on sale. Currently the stock cooler keeps it idle between 30C and 35C, and around 65C under real world load (playing Crysis/Just Cause 2/etc...) Pushes up to about 72C at 100% load in prime95.At idle, it clocks down to around 1200MHz or so, and I've seen it jump all the way up to about 2900MHz under load, a little above the stated 2.8GHz.
