Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 Webcam

This camera was good while it was working, I had it for four months and then one night it decided that it would no longer recognized my computers audio. I could see myself, but not hear myself, it was frustrating. The following day after uninstalling and reinstalling several times, the camera began freezing my computer and finally quit all together. Maybe I just got a bad camera, but for $100 I'll not buy another and risk this happening again.

I bought this cam a few months back, its done a wonderful job for me. both the sound and picture quaility are surpurb. it see very good in low light conditions. i would recomend this to anyone looking for a web cam

Nice resolution and performance for such compact camera. I bought 2, I use one for a security camera. I've had no issues with compatibility with any IM client, VLC, or other web cam utilities. One thing to note is the HD resolution (960x720) is only avaliable using 15fps or 10fps. At higher frame rates, the camera will crop and upscale the image.

Nice compact webcam. Easy to use. Got two, one for me and one for my lady friend who lives 250 miles from my home. Now we can see each other instead of just talking on the phone. Would recommend to anyone who wants a quality webcam.

I've been using a web cam for many, many years and this one is the Best! The avatars make my 7 yr old giggle for days. My wife can see my 5 o'clock shadow and I'm blonde! I even use the onboard mic with my text to speech program. I held off getting this when it was 129 dollars. When it went on sale with another logitech mid range cam for 89, I jumped on it. Now it's 69 dollars! If you're looking for a webcam, it doesn't get any better than this one. It has all the bells and whistles there is and work well. it works with all IM programs too.

Picture quality is awesome, however sound quality could be improved, often the other party cannot hear you well. Features are ok, but they are not rapidly accessible, like zoom and pan. Regarding price, I believe it is a bit too expensive.

I am seriously concerned that no one has mentioned that this webcam IS NOT at all compatible with any that I have found of the basic IM services out here! This appears to be a Major design FLAW that I simply cannot account nor let go as a SIMPLE error! They have recently come out with their own network; but WHO CARES! I don't have a clue who uses it only people with this webcam; I suppose? I am sure that doesn't include all of my friends who just happened to purchase one that truly WORKS! I hope I am not the only one that READs this!

Just hooked up my new QuickCam Pro 9000 and the image quality is phenomenal. Quick, easy setup, computer recognized it right away, and it worked like a charm. At $ 100, this is the best deal around.

I love the face-following feature! The resolution os incredible, the sould is awesome... You just can't beat this web-cam combo for the price. Vista Ultimate 64-bit automatically found the correct driver for it!

Overall this rocks. I am constantly told by my friends that they cannot believe how clear the picture is and that they can see me in perfect detail when in the High Definition setting. My only con against it is that the picture lags when the lighting is low due to the right light feature occupying a lot more processing in order to reprocess the picture to add in my lighting detail. Otherwise the thing works like a charm. I would recommend this to anyone. Though it is a little more expensive than other items of this same type out there it is totally worth it.

I improvement in image quality over the $40 models is stunning. I have two of these to talk with my family when I am away on business trips. The high def. picture is CPU intensive, but is still usable on relatively new PC's. You do not need a dual core processor, but it does help. The list price is a little high, look for it on sale.

The product shipped quickly and was relatively easy to set up. I did have to use the updated software available from Logitech since I have the new 64 bit Vista OS. The webcam is easy to use and produces a good picture. I don't have a frame a refernce since this is my first webcam. The quality from Logitech is excellent. My only beef is that the exposure is a little off which requires manual changes.

I must have bought 20web cams over the years. This one has the best picture of any. The high price has prevented me from buying this one before, but I needed a good one to use for a special project. I'm very happy, the detail is twice as good has other one. I guess it is partly due to the Ziess lens.
