Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 Webcam

I bought two so that my parent's could see their grandkids. This camera has a quality picture and some fun features. I wish I had bought it sooner!

I've been using this camera for about a month and have nothing but good to say about it. The ease of installation and the adjustments that can be made on the fly are great. The Rightlight technology is absolutely the best, most of the time my computer area is almost in the dark and the rightlight make it look like a light is on you. Clear, Fast and easy to use.

This is my third webcam in two weeks - First one was a Logitech Communicate STX. That one had pretty good picture quality, but very slow frame rate. I returned that and got a Microsoft VX-3000. That had an EXCELLENT frame rate, much better than the Logitech, but the picture quality wasn't as great. It was just acceptable, but I was looking for better. So I decided to spend the extra bucks and get the 9000 due to the great reviews it had (best webcam, period). Well, here is the verdict: frame rate is good but not great. Somewhat disappointing. Picture quality, however, is outstanding and the camera will actually focus up to about 1-1/2 inches, so if you want to show somebody some fine detail of an object you can. The lens is extremely sharp and close-ups look great. Very impressive for a webcam. In fact, I'm willing to put up with the frame rate just because of the quality of the image and the very wide range of resolutions you can pick from (up to 8MP for stills).

Great quality picture, nice auto-adjust for lighting. Mic works wonderfull and clear. Used it through a four hour session without any issues or quality loss with auto-focus (through skype & WinXP). Very odd mount – seemed unstable sitting on my fat flatscreen but it has stayed put for over a week.

This is my 5th webcam from logitech and each one is better than the last model. I have nothing but praise for the Pro 9000.

Great Webcam. Using with both a desktop and laptop running Windows Vista Ultimate. Easy setup. Works as advertized. Need to buy another one.

I got this webcam to chat with my kids in college. It works very well they claim the video and audio are excellent. To bad I can't say the same about there webcams. I guess I will have to get them Pro 9000's so I can see and hear them as well.

I like it. Great quality webcaming. I notice it cuz I used to have a Quickcam 5000 from Logitech. The face tracking is Ok, not the best in the world, but is a lil distraction if u get bored. I recommend it for stationary desktops or laptops sitting on desks, not really for taking a lot of places. Looks very nice too!!
