Ok I had to respond to my initial negative overview of this product. Immediately after altering from the Samsung drive I was working with to an NEC drive I have had no complications at all. Apologies Memorex! Boo Samsung! Would not work with my Samsung burner. I use these to backup Xbox360 games and so far they have worked superb if burned using an NEC drive. Apparently the NEC's have a stronger laser than the Samsungs which is fairly critical if you want to get your Xbox to study the disc.

Cons? I'll have to digress from 50 packs as all 50 packs I've bought were Ritek discs. All smaller packs can be manufactured by Ritek, Ricoh (just as superb), or Moser Baer (worthless with LG drives). Only 50% of my burns function in gaming console drives manufactured by Hitachi (which are rare now days). Low cost I don't know if I received a negative batch or what but I have not had a single disc to full properly. I have used several diverse apps such as Nero, DVD Decrypter, Ashampoo and IMGBurn. Also attempted them at several burning speeds from 1x to 6x. No distinction. They will burn if you have the time. I am only able to burn very good copies at 2x, sometimes at 4x. Never ever at 8x. So if you have the time, and do not require the 8x burning speed you can make fantastic DL discs. But only if you have the time Out of the 50 pack, I am seeking at about 10 coasters. These discs will not burn at advertised speeds. Would have offered 5 stars, but because these blanks are not 8x burn stable, only get 3 stars. Never ever had a challenge with the Verbatims I employed ahead of.

I have utilised these discs in a Mac Mini and have had zero failures. My burning software is Wondershare. There are none. You simply cannot get better excellent DL's at this cost. Hold in mind that transcoding video eats up a lot of processor power and ram so if you have a slow processor or under 4 gig of ram any multitasking while transcoding could possibly interrupt the buffer stream and lead to an error in the burning process.
